If we're still waiting on that map you could just pull one out of the old USRC lineup. No need for a custom.

They still have to work with usrc map since there was problems last time.

Waiting on the map apparently. It won't be done till the problems on Thor get resolved.

Yup. Just need the map and the one (easiest solution) I was not satisfied with due to many bugs I found on the renewal counterpart.

As almr said, it probably won't happen until thors is all set. I have stopped poking camp cuz I figure he has enough going on (and then some).

If we get a Sakray-style server as Oda mentioned in the maint notes, it would be much easier to set this up.

 

And we'll be able to come up with custom rulesets to adhere by. Perhaps even championship-style town maps with premades, gear sellers and limited team budgets. It would be MUCH easier to enforce consumable and class rules this way.

 

One thing I'd like to recommend is the RJC11 ruleset. Guilds of 7-10 (could be lowered into line with Classic's expected attending pop, 3-5), class cap 95/50 trans and tk tree 95/70 ninja and gs 95/99 suno (enforcable with an autoleveler NPC), refines up to safe limits, edp bottles limited to 4 (2 for 3-5 guilds), grenades/acids limited to 8 (4 for 3-5 guilds), yellow slims allowed all other hp consumables banned, all sp consumables banned, 23m (13m for 3-5 guilds) fixed zeny to be given to leaders for distribution between members for purchasing equipment, npc amenities like refines, and supplies.

 

Finally, no guild skills, no marriage or adoption bonuses, no links and no items that grant extra skills on equip, such as the Tomahawk or either of the Twins.

And if we could open up something like the old Garden tourney map:

 

 

We'd have no need for customs.

Bumping this because jRO are hosting RJC atm so we need to GET HYPED FOR USRC STYLE TOURNAMENTS ON IRO.
 
Their maps are pretty nifty.
 

"Royal"
Styled after Rachel, used for the 1st round qualifiers.
 

 

"Duel"
Styled after Prontera (pretty much just the KvM map), used for the 2nd round qualifiers.
 

 

"Battle"
Styled after Tierra Gorge, which is itself based on Morroc, used for the semis.
 

 

"Garden"
Styled after Brasilis, used for the finals.
 

Seems like they're putting a lot more time and effort into their tourney than we did ours. Professionally made site, graphics, ladders and dedicated SNS compared to the random pinned thread we had.
