It wouldn't be newyears if every map wasn't crapped up with stupid event monsters dropping garbage.

2219: Octopus Leg
2220: Giant Octopus (the good one)
3060: Octopus (the bad one)
3453: Lost Lamb
2985: Shadow-gear bug

Can copy/paste this into your H_Tactics file if you don't like adding data manually.

also see botting alchemists doing the same.  botting because spamming homunc res while your pet is out, and then logging on/off randomly before repeating same actions.  funsies.

Still off topic.

Lets stay on the topic of homunculii and the event monsters, and this list of ID's. Did I get them all, etc?

Thanks for this. Its a pain having your homun go after these event monsters wasting sp on skills that wont do anything to them and stops us from leveling our homun

You're asking how I determined those numbers? I just uncommented a logging line in GetTact() so it complained to me for anything with unknown tactics. I had a more graceful AI written for this exact task, that would dump unknown monsters without lagging the client to hell, but I couldn't find it. 

 

The MobID generators should get you the information you need too, though. Not knowing which MobID generating AI you were using (I've posted several over the years), nor what process you're using to use it, I can't really say what's wrong. 

 

Why not just use LiveMobID and watch the file it generates (MobID in data, I think - the punctuation is different from the normal mobid file, soas not to conflict with it, while still being clear about what it is)?

Does mercenary use this mob ID as well? My homu don't attack quest mob but mercenary still do. I used /merai command and made sure it was customized. I know some of the mob are gone after this week maintenance but still wondering.

Per documentation and bright red text in the config tool, mercenaries cannot identify monsters (though we can differentiate between summoned monsters and natural spawns most of the time), unless you create a MobID, or have homun out at the same time and LiveMobID enabled on both (LiveMobID makes the homun to write out the monster type ID's of everything on screen to a file every ~160ms, while the merc reads from same file just as often).
