So, yeah, announcements.
An announcement by itself is a good thing, it allows GMs to tell some important message to players across the whole server. But, when the amount of announcements is large and most of them is repetitive over and over again, it starts to be complicated to fetch anything useful when it happens to be broadcasted. At some point you just start to ignore them, to some degree, and because of that you might miss something that actually would be good to pay attention to. "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", right? In the end, announcements lose their importance.
In addition to the part above, there is one more issue about them. I'm not sure how many players do the same but I use the option to show private messages in chat panel (not idea what is the proper name of it) instead of pop-up 1:1 window, I'm not fond of losing chats when I move between maps or when I teleport, or to be distracted by someone PMing me while hunting tough mobs. And those sneaky announcements like to hijack into every chat tab, ignoring all settings and having the same yellow color like private messages, which makes those rare PMs you get to "drown".
Ok, I'm done with reasoning, let's touch the main point of the topic. It would be really nice if we could get a option to filter announcements too like normal chat messages using NoSpam. I think it's quite fair to let players to disable some of them which they don't like or are tired of. There is no need to tell about same fraud tricks multiple times, I'm pretty sure most of us already learned them by heart.
Can we get this feature? I'd appreciate it, and probably other players too.
