help with starter dealer

hello everyone

my dealer is currently lvl 73
i wanted to get some direction on skill taking and  states
i'm planing to go Artisan and i'm using a Gun

My current skills are
Sense of a Deal - 5
Words of Suggestion - 5

 

Gun Training - 5
Trigger Finger - 5
Gun Scope - 5
Twin Shot - 5

 

SubItemCraft - 5
Face Item Craft - 9

what else should i take?
or somthing i took is unnecessary?

 

My Stats are 
Con 129
Sen 175

any help will be appreciated :)

Well i don't really play a gun type but i'm here just to help others ask what will be asked.

 

Are you planning to be a Crafter or a Battle Artisan?

Because both has different styles of build.

it means what it means. Its an arti that is more based on fighting instead of crafting.

Hello nanoam. As you're new there are a few ways to go about this all, I'll present you with a few options and you let me know if you wanna know more about something specific :)
 

  • If you are willing to either spend time farming zulie (selling stuff you farm) or spend real money to buy a Skill Reset when you hit max level this might be the way for you. Build a battle oriented Artisan with no crafting skills at all until you reach max level and then re-spec. Grab all passives that improve your normal attack and grab the AoE Wild Shot. Also consider go Cannon depending on your party's ability to kill big groups of monsters as the Cannon spec has more AoE skills.
  • You want a hybrid of a crafter and fighter? Mainly pick skills that increases your normal attack power, passive skills pretty much. Then spend the remainder into a few crafting abilities. Note here that this is my favourite if I would only do PvM fighting.
  • A pure crafter and no re-spec? Grab a minimum of passive skills that help your normal attacks, attack power and aspd only as example - depends if you really want as many crafting abilities as possible and not fight anything by yourself and instead rely solely on your leveling party. You could act as a lurer in groups and focus on defensive gear while you attract monsters to your group AoE range.

Question I missed here: You are gonna level solo or in a group mainly?

 

  1. I recommend only putting stat points into Con and Sen for your crafter or hybrid. Con affects your chance of success when crafting and Sen increases the chance of recieving higher tier stats on the items that you craft.
  2. There's a unique passive that increases your crafting chance, good thing. "Hands of a Crafter"
  3. There are a bunch of skills that increases your Con and Sen, good stuff.
  4. Decide if you want summons. The Hunter version, few weaker ones that becomes strong in their numbers (due to lower Summon Gauge cost) . The Judgement summon who's very strong, can only summon one of these, and costs more SP to obtain.

Again, if you want further help I'd appreciate if you could be more specific in your questions rather then making me respond so lengthy due to the fact I hardly know what you're aiming at. Maybe take a moment and think about what you want to achieve. Ask some questions to yourself like: Do I wanna PvM lategame in dungeons? Is it likely that I will enjoy PvP modes later on? Do I only want to be a merchant who does no fighting? Am I gonna make more then 1 character(?), if not then maybe go a hybrid?
Then go deeper and think about how many SP you will have and how many crafting skills you really want, how to make them fit into a hybrid build could be a question.

thanks for detailed answer of all those 3 options i would like more the Hybrid type.

i don't have so many crafting skills right now

so if i want to go for the this build which more skills i should pick. i obviously will need the CON passive one and CON buff
i like the leveling parties and act as lurer 

 

about summons i'm not sure yet. are they worth using?

You'll have 221 SP at level 230. SP = skill points. Passive skills costs 2 SP per level. Active skills cost 1 SP per level. Unique passives costs 5 SP total. Unique actives costs 2 SP total.

Do you wanna do any PvP at all? What kinda crafts do you wanna do?

Just a reminder there is one time free reset for skills and stats at mayor darren.

like angel said, with this free reset.. U can actually go crazy and level with aoe cannons until you are max level.. And then only.reset to your desired skills/stats then.. But this would mean taking the shortcut or doing power lvling with a max lvl fs cleric.. And that would spoil the fun of going step by step n exploring thw game..

you might need to create 2 different characters all together, cuz then you'll be having some stats in str which most crafters don't need as it doesn't help with the success rate.

 

But if you manage to get a minimum of 1k con (if you're a con crafter) with enough str to hold the epic cannon, i think that's fine too. So good luck to you =3
