I have 2 rangers now. One is ML4 with Arrow Vulcan and the other is regular level 38 with Falcon Assault.  I have a lot of toons (alts) and am sharing my costumes.  I want to know which stat I should use for Falcon Assault.  I tried AGI (+150) and I tried INT (+200).  Both gave about the same damage: 540 damage with AGI, and 520 damage with INT.  If the skill is based on Magic Attack, is it purely based on weapon damage and not effected by INT?  I read old posts that said the weapon attack = magic attack in a 1:1 ratio.  Is that still the same with the latest update/patch?  Should I just stack VIT for AoE survival and use AGI on costumes for critical/dodge?  Should my cards be Condor x5?  I am pure PvE, I don't have the patience for PvP.  Thanks in advance for the advice.  XD

Pretty sure that 'magic attack' line in the skill description is a typo that has never been fixed, like the line in Knight aura heal that claims it heals a near by ENEMY :(, Falcon Assault should be based on PhysAttk so I would have thought given the AGI nerf Rangers were on the receiving end of that putting stats into STR or getting STR runes would boost it more. Though I will hold my hands up and say I haven't tested this as my Ranger is more arrow vulcan (I only have falcon assault @ 1 because I don't really PvP).

TY.  I'll try using my STR rune costumes and see if it changes damage output.  I'll edit this after with results.

EDIT:

Regular level 40 with AGI Runes (+150): 720 damage

Regular level 40 with INT Runes (+200): 711 damage

Regular level 40 with STR Runes (+100): 760 damage

My conclusion is that for my PvE build, I should go full STR in stats and use STR Runes for optimal damage.  Or do you think the full VIT in stats with STR Runes is more suitable for PvE with the AoE grinding that is required?

My build is full STR but I have shoved a bunch of radiant VIT runes in my gear for more def. My bow has enhanced STR runes though. I'm happy with the dps rate in the main but I've seen a definitely trend towards VIT builds and I have to admit I like the idea of the extra survivability that offers. However I have Lapparman and Willow pets and my cool down for those is 20 secs so mobs have to hit really hard before I'm in major trouble.

IMO, you should go with VIT stats and use STR runes. I think I even went VIT runes as well. Rangers still do high DPS in PvE. You're one of classes most likely to pull mobs off tanks even if you wait till tanks pull and start AoEing, the extra HP with be helpful, even life-saving. If you're HappyGoLucky multishoting mobs with or without tank running pulling or running by gathering, you're going to need the HP regardless, along with pots, foods, heal pets, spinels, and members with leaves, or some combination.
