I just started about a week ago and I have some questions of things I either don't understand at all, or think I understand and want to make sure I got right. Okay... I actually have a lot of questions. If a guide has already been written for any of this, a link would be appreciated since I couldn't seem to find good info on much of this.
Gamepad nevermind, I found the article on this. If anybody else is wondering: https://support.warp...ragon-saga.aspx
Is the gamepad support working, or does it not support Xbox controllers? (Or even, does anybody use this?) I tried setting up an Xbox controller and:
- I couldn't use the triggers at all
- the bumpers/shoulder buttons would map to some of the same buttons as the face buttons
- the d-pad and left analog had the same mappings
- the right analog and face buttons had the same mappings
- pressing the analog stick seemed to be its own button (if I remember correctly)
Loot System
How does the game determine who gets a drop? From what I could tell, the individual who does the last hit on a monster gets the loot. For a party, it would be the group that gets the last hit if more than one party is competing.
Party loot's Shared setting is "anybody picks it up, system splits it"(?) and Free is "the one who picks it up gets it"(?)
Kills
Specifically with Monster Kill Count for the boxes, how is a kill determined? First hit, last hit, most damage, or something else? Also, it seemed party members don't share this at all, which is kind of frustrating being a hybrid damage/support in a party. I can't even imagine trying to be full support and wanting to earn some boxes.
Production System
I'm don't think I understand this at all. I finished the gathering quests, and understand how to get resources, but can't seem to get a grasp on what to do next. I think I found the menu for it, but all the items looked really confusing and I don't know what any of it actually does
Also, was the gathering/production system originally split into separate learn-able skills, then later become all one? The wording in the tutorial menus makes it seem that way, so I was looking around for a bit on where to choose what to learn, then realized I had all of it.
General Skills
- Should a re-skill be done at class promotion, or should I stick with what I picked already?
- Do old skills become obsolete later, or do they scale well with class promotions and leveling?
- Why are there 20 skill reset scrolls for levels 1-19? Are players really expected to want to reset that many times before first class change?
How is sense and ability determined?
How is contribution determined?
Is the Rank earned the same for the entire party, or is it per player?
Housing
While I haven't looked into it too much (I'm still too poor to be able to afford one and other things I need), I do have one burning question: Is there a way to have 1 house for all my characters to use? I'm rather addicted to alts and I don't really want to maintain a house for each of them I also tend to play my characters all equally, so giving the house perks to only a "main" wouldn't really work well.
Knight Skills
My knight seems, uh, not so fun anymore. At first it was great, Storm Blade is really powerful, the hammers are pretty fun, and I was excited to get new knight skills. But it's getting harder to knock elites/bosses down or in the air, which makes me repeat the same 2-3 skills over while I wait for them all to cool down... and also prevents me from using Storm Blade on them. So basically: will it get better, did I skill it wrong? If I skilled it wrong, should I just keep earning levels to fix it or should I re-skill?
Here's what I have so far, at level 31:
But so far, I'm really enjoying playing. I absolutely love that Magician's basic attack isn't just whacking the enemies with the staff. I've started 3 characters and successfully dragged a friend along Thanks in advance for spending your time reading this and (hopefully) answering all my questions~!
Edit:
One more thing I forgot. Is Bearded Whale Coast usually crowded, or are those crowds just from people farming the event quests? At some points it got kind of hard to do the normal quests in that area because I couldn't seem to kill anything.
