The following is the plan of action I have in place for the new Tourney's Hosted by MatchStix [clan] and MatchStix Entertainment [youtube].
PvP Tournament PoA:
Registration:
Once a tournament has been scheduled, players will have 1 week to Register on the announcement thread for that Tournament.
Registration for PvP is as follows.
- Name of Character being Registered.
- 50mil Zulie Entry Fee [this goes to the winner[s] I will not be taking a profit from this and it will be held on a Secure Account dedicated to Hosting the tournaments or by a MOD or Staff member if they should volunteer.
- You may only use buffs your character itself has access to [see notes in sub section]
- PvP Tournaments will be held on a 1v1 basis. Team Combat will be too difficult to manage in excess of 2v2.
- Interference. Anyone who interferes with an active match will be Asked to stop, and warned of barring from these Events.
- If continual interference should occur, the violator will be barred from registration of ALL future events hosted by MatchStix.
Notes: I will only officially start this once the release of the Junon Cartel map is done, and that being on the basis that 'team sizes' are not required.
Dungeon TimeAttack Tourney's PoA:
Registration:
Once a tournament has been scheduled, players will have 1 week to Register on the announcement thread for that Tournament.
Registration for PvP is as follows.
- Names of Characters being Registered for the Team to compete.
- 50mil Zulie Entry Fee [this goes to the winners, I will not be taking a profit from this and it will be held on a Secure Account dedicated to Hosting the tournaments or by a MOD or Staff member if they should volunteer.
- Maximum number of registered team members is 4. As I have to verify that the Dungeon is completed with accurate times, I will be in the 5th slot [not assisting in any capacity] verifying a start and end time.
- If a member Disconnects, you will have to continue without, as there is no way to guarantee they will reconnect in time to rejoin the dungeon. Only 1 run is allowed per tier.
Structure:
Registered Teams will compete to qualify by completing the Cave of Ulverick Dungeon.
The top 4 teams with the Fastest Times will be selected to move onto the next tier, Halls of Oblivion.
The top 3 teams with the Fastest Times will be selected to move onto the next tier, Sea of Dawn.
The top 2 teams with the Fastest Times will be selected to move onto the Finals, Sikuku Catacombs.
The Fastest team in SC, will win the Jackpot and the awards will be divided evenly to the number of players present.
Other notes:
Bugs. Should a game breaking bug occur, the team will be given amnesty, and allowed to attempt the run again. No more than a maximum of 3 attempts can be made, even due to Bugs. [If I'm made aware of a rampant bug, the tourney will be postponed, or refunded until it is resolved]
The Goal:
All PvP Fights, and Dungeon Runs will be recorded, compiled into a Tournament Edition Episode and hosted to the MatchStix Entertainment youtube channel.
This is a volunteer hosted project to increase media attention, and entertainment value of ROSE, and is strictly a non-profit volunteer effort.
The only request I have is
You send me a e-mail account that I can invite you to TinyTake on. Then simply register the account [you won't need to Download anything that I'm aware of] and it will extend my maximum recording time [currently my max is 5 minutes @ 1080p]
Purely optional, but feel free [and you'll get a really good recording software out of it for free if you chose to].
Questions:
Ask questions below and I'll answer them here.
PvP -
Q: Can I register more than 1 character?
A: As the point of a Tournament Reward is to be given, only 1 Character can be registered for a PvP Tournament.
This helps prevent [but doesn't 100% block] manipulation of fights or create unfair odds of any 1 person getting the reward.
Q: is it random or by class/type 1 v 1?
A: Characters will be paired up via a randomization I will in no way 'direct' who has to fight who. The initial fights will be randomized, then follow the progression tree until a Champion has Won the Tournament.
Dungeons-
Cheers~
