Greetings.

First, excuse my English (you'll understand rather quickly I'm not a native English speaker by reading my crap) . Well, I feel sorry to ask such a thing, especially since I have been a high levelled and skilled Invoker for a few years (2009-2012) on my EU server but a lot of water has passed under the bridge and I forgot many things. So, there's a thing I read here on many topics which bothers me.

I often see "DC with element is better than DS"... But there's no real explanation about this. Never. In PvP ? In Pve ? With which Element(s) ? Which Level ? Which Equipment ? In which case (Bosses, mobs, players, close, far, ...) ? Since I tought to start over playing, I was really interested to know more about this fact. Can somebody help me ?

Thanks for reading.

Regards.

The general rule of thumb: DC for single targets, DS for mobs.

Yes, I was playing that way back in my active years... In PvE. But let's take a single target in PvP. Is DC really better or at least easier to use and DPS with ? Because with its shot scattering and its shorter range, I'm not quite sure.

I'm no pvp expert, but I believe most of your damage comes from attacking your opponent while they're frozen. You'd want to get close, and shotgun them with difussion cannon after landing a barbarian, and at the end of the freeze, stun them with wraith, land a few more hits, and frog them.

Chain combo for the flinch in pvp too.

An explanation ? There it is ! (oh my, I love quoting myself) https://forums.warpp...ents/?p=2183298

Unless your opponents have as much element resistance as to take more damage from your regular magic attacks than from your element ones, Diffusion cannon, as Mike stated above, will be more powerful against single target as long as you can control them since you need to be very close to deal the full damage. Which your Magnet, Barbarian, Wrath* of heaven and Witch's curse can help you with.

*Because "wraith" makes no sense to me.

I just assumed the lightning elemental was a ghost. So.. it's the wrath of a heavenly wraith? Something something stun!

It's supposed to be some kind of god or at least ancient and powerful being. Like Bultan from the Overlord awakenings, or the badass demon the Sorcerers can summon.

A wraith is... somewhat weak compared to these. But you indeed would fear the Wrath of heaven !
