Thankfully it's not QoL. It counts as "editing player sprites" so it's bannable.
Ah, good to know :v

- QoL Client Edits (No Hallucination, No 1:1, BM Fix, No Shake)
- QoL GRF Edits (Big Cards, Aura Colours)
- Hotkey Macros (AHK, etc.)
- Extended Zoom (Zoomhack)
- Cell highlighting / buff indicators / EXP per hour (RCX, SimpleROHook)
Please note that for AHK it should not be used to replicate a auto pot effect. The allowed list may change without warning and bans may occur if that program is no longer allowed and still in use other disclaimers may apply...
OMG campspit yr choking again...
I cant understand anything there....
But a extra zoom will be nice to put in the patch, so i can see when to wing.

As far as I know, extra zoom only means you can see the map on the extra zoom cells, because this is how it is like when you use higher resolutions. You still can't see players/NPCs/Monsters at the edge of your screen. Just the map, I'd assume. And pretty sure that if it did show players/NPCs/Monsters, it would be illegal.

There are some things that I think should be available through the game itself and not through 3rd party things - namely "zoomhack" and the ability to unlock map angles. It's really annoying that some places (lighthalzen inn for example) force your camera at a stupid angle. I don't really see a big deal about zooming out more, either. All you see is more of the map but you don't see what's actually there.

Well, the entire point of a legal 3PP is that it adds something meaningful to the game, without taking away from the experience of other players/other negative effects. So technically all legal 3PPs should be provided through the client itself, it's something like the community's way of overcoming flaws that the GMs themselves are ignorant of/too busy to handle.

So basically not only are the GMs incompetent, they don't even have clear rules set out for them to consistently enforce?
Jeez.

Posted 14 September 2015 - 02:28 AM

What are red text in parentheses?

What are red text in parentheses?
They were 3pp names, being the programs that create those effects. The random red words are just censors.

The GM team will apparently not ban for those things.
Camp omitted the full list and only picked what was legal out to make his own, but the following things are banned by omission:
- Auto Potion (Meerkats)- GRF edits to remove animations (Seals)- GRF edits to remove / replace player sprites, textures and effects (Kittens, Puppies, etc.)- Free movement onto occupied cells (Cookies)- Maya Purple Vision to reveal hidden players (Rainbows)- Level / Farm Botting (Sunshine)- Vend Botting (Unicorns)- Personal / Community Buffer & Warper Botting (Pixies)- FPS Increasing Programs (Alpacas)- Automatic Targeting (Marshmallows, Dark Chocolate)- Packet Injectors / Editors / Sniffers (Ice Cream, Sprinkles)Feel free to discuss.
Really I feel like the staff always word this badly, so I'm going to try my hand at it.
Quality of life improvements to the GRF that make things that would not give you an advantage easier to see are completely fine. (aura colours, cast circles, pointer colours)
Editing player or monster sprites (emps and barricades are monsters) are not ok.
Editing the GRF to display things you can't normally see is not ok
Editing the client so it doesn't display any hidden information (mp hack/woe damage - tho you need to be a special kind of special to want woe damage displayed anyway) is also ok. For those of you concerned about zoom hack, don't be. The client will only send/recognize clicks within the 14 cell draw range of your character. You need other "bad things" running to actually abuse zoom hack. (1:1 popup fix, noshake, BM fix, no halluc are QoL fixes to classic client that mimic renewal client options)
Programs that replicate macro keyboard/mouse functions are ok so long as you are present at the computer and able to respond to a bot check. Leaving a macro running without being present counts as automated gameplay. Do not AFK from it.
Programs such as RCX/Autoimo that make things that would not give you an advantage easier to see, or are readouts of information you can already see or calculate in a new format, are completely fine. (cell highlighting/bb lines/exp readouts/timers)
Anything that bypasses the client, reads client memory and responds to the readout or plays/reacts automatically for you or displays information you cannot normally see - packet editting/sniffing, autopot, bots, are obvious no nos.
Most of it is common sense really, people should be able to get their head around it. RCX and AHK are fine, but they can be used to do things you're not allowed to do.
On that note I would love a package of official different coloured cursors.

gotta get that big card mod and no shake asap
Posted 14 September 2015 - 03:52 AM
if the staff would/could approve it, I could create a bm fix/no halluc/no 1:1 chat (and noshake if desired) client for classic that I would be happy to share.

Posted 14 September 2015 - 04:13 AM
Just imagining how awesome it would be to have people in Creative Contraps designing and distributing custom auras, card icons and cursors to use~
Pls pls

now we re talking, community created aura's and clients
Posted 14 September 2015 - 04:38 AM
Since it's legal, where can I get that big card mod? Does anyone have a safe download link?
Edit: "Google it" doesn't really apply. The only links I see are from years ago and have long since gone dead.
