Mt. Mjölnir Cake

A dessert inspired by the flowery hills of Mount Mjölnir.

(Haven't thought of the effects yet :x)

 

1. Making the cake

(This cake recipe is seriously tasty and moist, try it out!)

I also cut the cake in half to add a layer of chocolate frosting.

Frost the cake with buttercream.

2. Fondant

I used store-bought white fondant for this. Add drops of food coloring, knead, repeat, until desired color is reached (More yellow and green were added for the final fondant color)

3. Decorations

Making powdered food coloring using corn starch, water, and liquid food coloring. Let dry overnight, and crush to a finer powder.

Making the fondant decorations. Each color is white fondant with drops of food coloring, kneaded in.

These are then painted with food coloring + water and/or powder coloring)

4. Assembly and Coloring!

After putting the decorations in place (brush water to stick them in place), i dusted parts of the cake and decorations with a lot more powder coloring and it's done!

Description: Cookies with (fake) Porings sealed within, made by some Geffen citizen.
Each cookie transform the user into a Marin, Poporing or Poring for 10 minutes and increase recovery of Well-baked cookies by 600%.

I assume winner is chosen by amount of likes so does that mean if I submit something now would that mean I have a low chance of winning because I can't get as much likes now or will there be a time devoted to voting? I want to win but if I have a low chance of winning now then I'll just save my entry for another event like this.

It's not only about the number of upvotes, although I would think that some of the criteria involves the choices by the community. The winners are decided based on how creative the dish was with regards to it's presentation, delivery, and execution, as well as how well it incorporated the "Ragnarok" theme as an inspiration. This is determined by the host(s), so the number of upvotes certainly does not automatically determine the winner, although it voices how the community feels about the dish. You can still enter because you never know, maybe your dish will absolutely blow the others away, just like Ilona's cake (that is a really, REALLY nice cake).

Smokie Cookie

Sweet treat from Payon, made in shape of the lazy raccoon.

Effect: transform into Smokie for 20 minutes. During transformation, there is a 5% chance to auto cast [Hiding] lvl 1 & [regenerate 2% HP every 2 seconds for 10 seconds] when attacked.

 

What I have in mind is that both the effects activate at once, since when a Smokie hides it heals itself =D

Kraken Crab Cakes

 

This took me 2hours+ to make ;o;

 

There are four parts to this:

First and foremost, go to Byalan dungeon 6. Kill the Kraken MVP, cut off its tentacles. Then kill some crab.

 

Effect: Empowered by the gods of the sea, when you consume this, you increase damage to "fire" type monsters by 10% for 5 minutes.

I basically made Bombring muffins.. Or at least tried to! D:

Effect: Reflecting 5% of damage received but increases damage taken by 10% for 5 minutes.

I used:
1.75 cups of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
0.5 teaspoon of baking soda
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
0.75 cups of fine sugar
3/4 cups of chocolate chips
1 cup of milk (could probably use less, it'll turn out better, I guess)
1/3 cups of vegetable oil
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Just had to mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, beat the eggs in another till it's fluffy, add in the wet ingredients (except the milk), pour in all the dry ingredients, then slowly add the milk and just make sure it isn't too runny~

I know this looks not very cute though. Couldn't find what I wanted within 24 hours. =( Wanted to use sparkly candles for its wick, but couldn't find it anywhere.. D: Used milk pocky instead~

Okay, so I haven't been around the last few days... and I'm just blown away by the effort all of you put into your dishes.

I'm fairly certain the GM team is going to be judging the actual "dishes" and we will get a diverse community team to judge the illustrations.

If you want to help judge the illustration and didn't enter the contest, just shoot me a PM.
8 people or so would be a good fit and I'll probably start doing this moving forward.

 

I'm just so impressed with the community time after time again.

Spore Burger

 

Ingredients:

1x Spore
2x Chocolate
4x Red Herb
4x Yellow Herb

4x BlueHerb

4x Green Herb

1x Cheese
1x Bread

 

If you've ever had a portabello mushroom burger, this is Rune Midgard's version made with the monster Spore's mushroom cap! The body and teeth are removed, the spikes replaced with chopped chocolate and the bread cheese and herbs are stuffed between the two halves of the spore and then lightly grilled, with its tongue still hanging out! Spores have the taste of portabello mushrooms with a hint of strawberry. A healthy small meal or large snack.

Recovers 1000 hp, 60 sp. Max hp +200, max sp +50 for 20 minutes.
