You're right. I was thinking about a person posing a screenshot of MVP card drop. A screenshot is never required to verify the card. Then they should add it as a requirement for verification  :p_devil:  :p_angel:

Can I use a program that helps changing Homunculus AI config? It's not autoplay or kind of botting...

okay as long as the config doesn't pose malicious AI like skill spamming or similar.

I don't suppose there will be an edit to change the sprite for Fire Rain, eventually?

What do you mean by skill spamming from the AI?

Cause i see all gene pets does that.

Or is it like pose to be controlled by the player?

AHK automates play by pressing buttons for you, just like any keyboard and mouse macro. Please reword the ruling or ban AHK because of the wording in the ruling. Thank you.

I think what is meant by automating play is making it so the game is being played without your presence or input i.e. botting. Macroing inputs around or multiple inputs to different keys is what's fine. I assume you are just pointing out that the wording could definitely be improved though, and I agree. This post is supposed to make it decidedly clear what is and is not ok but is still vague and worded poorly in many places.

With ahk, you can write scripts to play your characters for you while you are afk like frost joking, dazzle, warping, simple skills that don't require mouse movements is easy to imitate botting with ahk. I think that is what he means by automated play. Has more to do with what you're using ahk for.

My definition is different from yours. This is why there is a staff that should make things crystal clear and worded in a manner that things can not be interpreted in multiple ways.

Feel free to decide on whatever personal definitions you want but I'm almost entirely sure that is exactly the intention of what camp said. Macros are legal, making a bot that continuously plays without your presence or input at the keyboard is not. Just like RCX is legal but has features you can't use. He should indeed make the wording more clear. His entire post is really vague and unspecific actually, like even if it should be "obvious" what's allowed you can make arguments for a lot of things to fall under "graphical edits of cosmetic nature" or "help with client performance."

IMO the only client changes allowed should be noshake, no 1:1 chat, and BM fix, and they should be integrated into the default client. Allowing any sort of free reign client and grf editing is just asking for people to find gray areas and push the envelope. But even if it's not exactly what I want at least they are trying make a set of rules everyone should be playing by and draw a line in the sand, which is the important thing. They just need to make it a much, much better defined line.

Can I clarify if auto-feeding is allowed or not? I've been seeing different answers to this question. I want the answer coming from someone from WP (e.g. Oda, Campitor), and not anyone else, please. :)

(If anyone can quote a non-outdated answer from any of them, then that works too :P)

EDIT:

I know that anything that automates gameplay will not be allowed. I understand automated gameplay to be something that fully does not require human intervention to continue normal operations.

Technically, the homunculus system itself allows the possibility of unattended operations for up to how much time it would take for all your homunculus' hunger & intimacy run out. Having an auto-feeder will just extend this time to how much time it will take before you run out of homunculus food. It still does not automate gameplay as I'll have to purchase food eventually, or resurrect my homunculus (or myself) if it dies.

So yeah, given that, a little clarification will be useful.

ANOTHER EDIT:
Saw this on irowiki. I'll just assume that this is up-to-date.

Not Allowed
  • Feeding the Homunculus or moving the owner around using a 3rd party program.

I have to feed my homunculus for 16 hours to make up for the intimacy lost while sleeping, and I have to skip about a week of overnight leveling before its intimacy is high enough for me to be comfortable with doing that.

Having enough food and staying alive aren't real problems for anyone who is serious about afk leveling. You only need 1000 to last until maintenance. I start with 4000-5000 for a level 99 homun S and I've always hit 150 with plenty of food to spare. Even if you have to return to town once or even twice (amistr-bayeri on a naked character?) to buy more food, to me that doesn't even begin to compare to the trouble of keeping the homun fed constantly.

Given that, I'd say autofeeding provides a huge advantage.

Yea, I guess you have a point. I've been using alarm clocks just so I can constantly feed my homunculus. I even use TeamViewer whenever I'm in the restroom and not able to go near my PC. Thank goodness I had the alarm on just a little while ago or else my Sera would've run away (I dozed off ugh). :p_ang:

I think the idea behind the AHK ruling is that so long as you can pass a bot check, you're fine.

Depends what you mean by that. Can you provide more info on exactly what you want to edit?
