Curses, I did that thing where I read part of it and interpret it the wrong way, yeah +3 free upgrade levels is a little lame.

Spend money on safe certs, get +7, or spend $$ on kafra points for enriched. either way, Its not "free"

All decent Rebel weapons are NPC purchasable, giving them an infinite supply. That makes giving refines on them really worth very little. It's like getting a +12 *Insert any NPC purchasable item here*. You may as well do it with a mastersmith at fairly low costs. Not to mention most are lvl3 weapons, making them even easier to upgrade. So a +3 upgrade reward would reeally be underwhelming. 

congratulations to all the winners. well, having +3 refine to weapons isn't bad especially for glorious guns.

Except Glorious guns aren't much better than the new NPC guns, even against demi humans. Plus the fact that rebel is highly unviable in WoE/PvP.

Did people really expect to get a +13 or +14 to their KVM weapon from competing in this contest? The race was made for fun and the set up of the contest reflects that to allow for multiple winners in different categories. The prizes reflect that and I honestly see no problem with the winning prizes.

i think the issue is the 3 free upgrades for a "gun weapon" to a maximum of 12. I wouldn't mind having a gun +15, but its a maximum of 12, which i already have. I made 5 +12 weapons to play with his rebel, and its "obtainable" fairly easily, especially when the items are being vended by NPC, one of which is a lvl 2 weapon (minigun) so you don't even need enriched or whatever to upgrade it. You need pharcon/emveretecon. the weapon is being sold through NPC for like 30k. You can make a +12 with as little as 50k if you're lucky and not have it break. It took me 5 miniguns to make my +12. thats like 250k and about 50k in ores. So if the GMs really think that 300k is a good prize for winning this contest. Then they're full of lol.

In order to make this worth it, You at least have to get a weapon +9. being a (smart) player, You would choose the weapon with the most value (none because they're vended through an NPC) Tempest for PVM, Shotgun for PVP. Maybe dual pistols for aspd. who knows how you play. You still have to make them +9, which require you to. *gasp* spend money! on Kafra points! For safe upgrade. So you could get real lucky, and get a +9 in very few ores, (not to mention the safe certs)

Or you can do it the not-safe way and manually upgrade with regular ores until you get +9. Just so you can say you got the +12. 

No one in their right mind is going to give the gms a +0 weapon, for a +3 gun. 

so, I dont think that the prize is good enough. 

I do, however think that the prize can be good, if they allowed past +12 upgrades.

I think +3 refine coupon or whatever is good prize by itself. Not everyone think +12 is worthless(given that user will give +9 weapon for upgrade). And you certainly don't need +12 weapon to level your Rebel to 160 either. You just need time and smart planning on where to level. That being said, +3 refinement level coupon is plenty imo.

What I think is lacking is complimentary prize, something like signatured hat that would make very first 160 rebellion distinguished from others.

Yeah I'm aware. Its not like Rebel can use any other weapon. So even if its value from npc vending machine is low, its still only weapon Rebel could use. You didn't make 5 +12 guns because its worth something? You made it to "enjoy" the class and probably helpful for competition. 

no, i made 5 +12 weapons because im rich, did not know what i was doing, and am at the point in my RO career, i just buy things because i can.. So i had to experiment with different gun/weapons/skills to find a viable leveling method. 

The fact is, anyone can buy the vended guns and make +12s. There is no risk in it, because all the weapons are less than 1m. 

Who's gonna even play their rebel class again lolz. If the rewards doesn't get better, I'll just give you my upgrade Hissis.

Oda/Camp forgot 1 thing,We still don't have the [1] slotted version of some guns (Tempest for example),making the prize more ''useless'' .
