Hello everyone,

I've decided to drop a brief guide on how to complete ROSE 10th Anniversary Event Quest.
Here I go.

-----------------

UPDATE

-----------------

10/12/2017: Add video guide

I. Start Quest

- Talk to Arua's Fairy in Adventurer's Plains to start the quest
- Talk to her again to teleport to Birth Island

See images in spoiler

Spoiler

2. Arrival at Birth Island

- Talk to Arua's Fairy to continue
- She'll then ask you to discover the secret hideout of the Scuba Moldie Gang (1)
→ Head to the center of the map.

See images in spoiler

Spoiler

- Talk to Arua's Fairy again to continue
- She'll then ask you to bring her 10 Stale Mana Jam from Jelly Beans (2)
→ Go and kill Jelly beans of any types.
- Turn in the obtained jams and continue

 See images in spoiler

Spoiler

- She'll then ask you to bring her Ancient Hammers (8) using the event item: Magical Medal Detector (3)
Ancient Hammers can be found from the following red dot spots.

See images in spoiler

Spoiler
TIPS: Each time, you move a bit, then use the quest item, then drop 1 zulie to map the area (Because the area where hammers lie is invisible)
Repeat this until you get the hammers.

Spoiler

- She'll then ask you to bring her 5 Drained Blood Charms from Choropies of any types. (4)
- When you finish, talk to fairy again to continue
- She'll now ask you to prank 8 Scuba Moldie. Head for the middle lake again. (5)

See images in spoiler

Spoiler
- Use the quest item Magical Rubber Duckies to prank the Moldies.
→ Unequip your weapon > Target the moldie > Double press the rubber duckies OR place it on skill bar
- When you finish, turn in the proof to get rewarded

Bonuses when worn as Avatar only

Now fixed to bonus when worn as Costume

IV. Side quests

Obtain Rubber Duckies, dropped from monsters on Birth Island to exchange to several items.

1. I'd like a Scuba Moldie mount. [250 Rubber Duckies]
2. I'd like a Scuba Moldie summon pet. [200 Rubber Duckies, Skill Learned Once Per Character]
3. I'd like a 10th Anniversary Ring. [100 Rubber Duckies]
4. I'd like a 10th Anniversary Necklace. [100 Rubber Duckies]
5. I'd like a 10th Anniversary Earring. [100 Rubber Duckies]Total: 750 Rubber Duckies

Total: 750 Rubber Duckies

V. Additional Info

- The map is in shape of a star, with 5 spawn location = 5 Arua's Fairies = 5 different level range

Players will spawn in the location corresponding to their level.

-> So a level 230 player will have less chance to get Rubby Duck at lower areas.

You shouldn't waste time killing in lower level areas.

- Part (2) usually take more than 30 minutes to get enough 10 Jams, don't lose your patience.

- Part (2) and part (4) of the quest require killing Jelly Beans and Choropies

But any type of jelly beans or choropies will give you the proof.

- Part (3) Ancient Hammers are usually on the left side of Arua's Fairy, behind her back.

Since the area is invisible, let us drop zulie 1 by 1 to map the area.

And it's not hard, at all.

- Part (5), you use the quest item: Magical Rubber Duckies, located in Inventory > Consume to prank the Scuba Moldie.

DO NOT kill them with your weapons or bare-handed.

------------------------------

UPDATE on Dec 10th

- Added Ancient Hammers Locations, credit to HoneyBuns

See images here

Spoiler
- Added updates on event quest from Leonis

Okay everyone, I can see that there are still issues with the duckies being obtained. We'll be taking a look in to adjusting the rates again to make it more enjoyable to obtain because, yes, we did set a high goal for you all to obtain. To be perfectly honest, we didn't expect this big of a participation response from the community all at once!

So, what will be changing with our next server restart:

  • We'll be increasing the current method of drop rates to almost double their current rate.
  • Additionally, we'll be making drop bonuses have an impact as well. (Most events do not run off the drop system, so this will be new to see how it unfolds.)
So the following bonuses will impact duckie drop rates:
    • Extra Drop Chance
    • Epic Item Drop Rate

-------------------

UPDATE on Dec 11th

To clarify the restrictions on the items available from Arua's Fairy for Rubber Ducks:

The Scuba Moldie Mount is tradable until it's used

The Scuba Moldie Pet is an IM skill that is added directly to your skills when you redeem the ducks

The Anniversary accessories are account locked when you redeem the ducks

The Anniversary Costume  from the event quest is character locked as soon as you get it.

It took me more than 30 minutes on gunbourg and morea than 1 hour on katar raider to get those Jams.

They are not easy to get, and you should:

- First hit the jelly beans

OR

- Be in a party, in which someone first hit them

My cleric even was stuck at 9 Jams for 20 minutes until she got the last one. :)

Good thing is this quest is only once per character so you won't have to do that 2nd time :)

Well the map is in shape of a star, there are 5 different spawns for different level range.

And most people who are doing quests are 200ish so yeah, you'll see a lot of people

at that West spawn.

rly? that is the only worth to get it :P

as costume.. the spin costumes are better bonus. so .. i think.. if its getting change to costume bonus...its not worth the time doing the quest.

or will this bonus stay permanent ??

btw.. what bonus on the acc set? and.. will it be account or char bound/locked???

i believe there are 4 areas for hammer, and for certain time they change its location, so, if u didnt get hammer at 1st, go to 2nd, and so on

I'm not certain but I think you can get proofs from grey monsters as well, but at a very low chance.

I suggest you join a party at  the first spawn to challenge this quest.

Would you like me to add this to the wiki? Or would you prefer to do it yourself? :P

Also, very detailed guide, thanks for taking the time to do this, I was about to start on a guide myself~  :p_smile:

And are those mounts tradeable or character locked too?

I'm not certain because I myself haven't managed to get enough Rubber Duckies to exchange for these items so here are my assumptions:

1. Accessory set effect

3 Set Bonus
+10 All Stat
+5% All Stat
+10% Drop Chance
+10% Experience Rate

Grade: Unique
Account Locked
Credit to: Feuer

2. Mounts & Pets Restriction

I reckon they'll be account or character locked, because I haven't seen any of them being vended in Junon

(Still need confirmation)

Would you like me to add this to the wiki? Or would you prefer to do it yourself? :P
Also, very detailed guide, thanks for taking the time to do this, I was about to start on a guide myself~  :p_smile:

Yes, please, if you don't mind.

I don't know how to use the ROSE wiki so that would be much of help.

Anyway, it's not gonna happen in the next years so I'm pretty doubtful if it'll be any helpful. :p_sick:
