Hey, everyone.

This topic is concerning the skill "stronger summon" and the summoned creature's defense. I can completely understand it being low, due to their high hp, and for pvp reasons, but Is the defense increase noticeable? I've recently gotten my summoner to a high enough level to do Elga comfortably, and I find that my meatshields... err.. summons die incredibly quickly.I maxed cry of life, but they still get caught in the fire before I can use gather, sometimes, and it usually results in them dying.

If I max the stronger summon skill, will it be noticeable, or a waste of points?
Thanks everyone. :)

I'm pretty sure that fire skill from elga is a multi hit super duper op damage that won't let you live.

Thanks, Agitodesu.
Just to clarify, I'm talking about his regular fire attacks, not his carpet bomb or instakill ones. Just trying to figure out if I'll notice a difference in those attacks.

I believe that I maxed that skill, and only times my Golgon dies are from those instakill attacks.

If you get a spare moment, do you mind taking a look at the damage your golgon takes from the attacks? I'd really appreciate it! Just his normal fire, or melee attacks so we can make a comparison. :)

I'm assuming that the summoned creature's defense is independent from the player's, and only their hp is based on ours.

Will do later today, when I get back to home.

First of all I was wrong, I dont have Stronger Summon. I did the test run anyway and got the following:

1st phase:

29d57d3fed.jpg

Golgon took only 5-7k hits from Elga's melee and fire attacks.

2nd phase:

0a1426ee0d.jpg

Not sure if that was critical hit, but 31k was the highest damage I saw in whole run. Elga didnt do many fire attacks during second phase tho. Damage from melee attacks were around 15-17k.

3rd phase:

e4fd061e09.jpg

Damage from every fire and melee attacks were around 15-17k (critical hits maybe double that, like the fire attack in 2nd phase).

After all my Golgon was hit 2-3 times by normal fire attack in 3rd phase and still had over a half of its hp left. My Golgon has around 300k hp, so it can take hits quite a while before it dies, especially if I use the healing skill. Hope this helps, even tho I never took Stronger Summon.  :p_conf:

My Golgon on 2 summoners around level 81/85 don't die in elga unless they get hit by the KO moves. I do not think they can die within 30 seconds before you can use cry of life or not. Also if you take off summons (Except the bird) you can potentially shoot faster while in F10 for the best possible FPS but that's off topic. On both of them I do not have stronger summons so I can't tell for sure.

(Trying to convince you to put sp somewhere else) but hey if it does reduce it by a significant amount, let me know, I might use it.

The main reason why I'm using the summons currently is for pain division.
I appreciate the answers, friendos. I may end up testing this myself.

So, after a long day (9 F7s) I managed to get myself to 81 and get my new gear and decided to do a few elga solo kills. My golgon was taking 45ks from the regular flame breath on phase 2, (sorry no screenshots) which was very manageable. I probably won't be going for the Stronger Summon skill, as I don't plan on using them much more for Elga at this point.

Appreciate the information, I'll leave this post open for other players of they want to add their two cents on the skill.
