According to discussion in this thread edits that are purely cosmetic/help with client performance are completely okay.

jRO sprites are not ours to approve. A card sprite change or grey world modification is not adding content that is literally new and exclusive to another version of the game.
Since this thread was posted a large number of players have been using the greyworld/flatmap edit.
Quoting another poster from the original thread...
one question regarding greyworld. It absolutely remove everything from map and left only the gray tile. That make me thinking, on certain map, you will need to rotate the screen to actually see people hiding in certain spot. For example, Mid Payon castle. On the entrance, there is a big ass tree that block the view of whoever hiding behind it. But if you have greyworld, then you should be able to see pass that tree.
Is this kind of advantage is really allow? It will make a whole difference since you dont need to rotate your screen anymore to get clearer view.
So, here's some screenshots of the same character in exactly the same place, with and without the edit.
Should this be allowed? Is it okay? The wording is so ambiguous that people are using it and posting videos claiming its okay as well as spreading it. Does it provide an unfair advantage?
