If you cant afford a proper server why not get creative and add a debuff to people with lousy or very away far connections?
here is a quick Idea
2 Bars= -25% Speed, Defense and Rate of Fire
1 bar = -50% Speed, Defense and Rate of Fire
0 bars= -75% Speed, Defense and Rate of Fire
What a great idea considering that this is absolutely well-thought-out! The very concept of ruining the game for people who lag by providing them a very balanced handicap based on their ping is just innovative. This truly is creative.
If you didn't realize it yet, I was clearly being sarcastic. Anyway, if Warp Portal were to implement a feature such as this one, they'd be completely ruining the game for the majority of the people. You should consider that laggers probably make up, more or less, 50% of the general community. Many of them being 0-2 ping including I, does it satisfy you to know that, theoretically speaking, you will be able to beat them while they are severely handicapped? This concept of reducing their speed, defense and rate of fire destroys the practicality of having anything equipped. Consider this:
- What's the use of equipping shoes/boots if it's stats are reduced due to having bad ping?
- What's the use of equipping a flak jacket if it's stats are reduced due to having bad ping?
- What's the use of equipping an outfit if it's stats are reduced due to having bad ping?
You probably get my point. Probably. C'mon, even you have to admit your idea is just absolutely unfair.
So I'll leave this one question to you:
Have you ever seen or played a game that handicapped any players who have bad ping?
If so, feel free to prove me wrong. But that still doesn't change the fact that your "creativeness" is simply out of anger.
Quick Tip
To beat laggers or damage them at the very least, shoot your gun ahead of time. Whether it is seconds or milliseconds ahead, just base your "ahead-of-time shooting" on their ping. If you're faced against a 2-pinger such as myself, try to predict where I would be within 1 second in the future.
Thank you and have a good day.
