Red Lichtern's 10% fire damage is categorized as [with X element]. Ok.  

 

But its additive to that category....the same category as Agav card, KK, FAW, etc.  Kusana thought that an Agav card 5% is multiplied with other MATK% modifiers.  

 

No, I was talkig about the Lichtern card. What I thought was:

 

+10% Crimson Rock (OBMH - 5% from +7, 5% from +9)

+5%   MATK (+9 OBMH)

+10% Lichtern Red (5% + 5% from +9)

 

I didn't make the calculations because I'm still not sure about how they stack. I thought that the 10% from lichtern red stacked multiplicatively while the rest stacked adictively, but since the first +10% is Skill Specific, I don't know if it stacks adictively with the %MATK or multiplicatively after all the calcs are done.

Btw i remember Chain Lightnig bonus from the hat to be not working, not sure about the other skills

I was lazy enough to just test with crimson rock, and I didn't do a very good test, tbh. But the damage difference from my CoD suggests me that it's working.

 

Maybe I'll test it later with no staff and against a 0 MDEF target, if I remember it and have the time.

[Against X element] * [10% CrR + 5% + 10%LichternRed] * [Racial] * [MysticalAmp]= your final modifier.

 

They stack additively.  Skill specifics modifiers are grouped into the same as general %MATK bonuses.

I remember one post where a couple of people was testing the obmh and Haseo stated that all the increases work, except for CL, so CR works fine, but dont expetc a increase in CL. Maybe someone should test again.

 

@kasumidoll: About the gear, spellflow i find it very useful tbh, even then the SP consume is not overwhelming and you can sustain it with soul drain, i guess at the end, check the advice people give you here and then decide yourself, most of the gear people will agree, but other goes down to preferences, either using 2h or 1h staves, or using spellflow vs orleans/phen, i prefer spellflow because free my armor slot for other things, but before that i use orleans all the time and i have an old set of elemental ones...as i said before increasing you matk is important but dont forget that on pvm or leveling is not that important if doesnt make a huge difference, like two shot to one shot a specific mob.  Some people will recomend you super expensive stuff bec ause is what they have access, some other will reccomend you things they have tried, etc. At the end is up to you.

 

Also a lot of advices goes for expensive gear and thats cool, but there are itemes that allow you to fulfill very specific tasks aswell, crimson set is a very cheap alternative for CR leveling and is pretty ok, i one shot scarabas with a double entomic (like cory reccomend, and i think he favor a lot those sets because i think i tried it because i read a post of him xD, dont recall) and frogg hat, so is nice to have, but dont having a shiled will give you some troubles at first

you're going to have a heck of a time solo'ing anywhere using a SoD + Spellflow set. Unless you like SP items.

 

Get an INT [1] glove under casting.  Phen switching is under-rated.

you're going to have a heck of a time solo'ing anywhere using a SoD + Spellflow set. Unless you like SP items.

 

I never had a problem with it until recently, that I need several rotations of spells to kill a mob. When I could 1-shot or 2-shot monsters with Crimson Rock or even Chain Lightning (Dolomedes), soul drain proced a lot and my SP was stable af. I could even keep Energy Coat active ~80% of the time. In NCT I normally need 2 or 3 rotations of FM > JF > CL to kill a mob, depending on how many monsters are stacked, and Soul Drain don't proc very often because of it, so it really weighs on SP, so I use TSOD + SC and it's k. Plus, as I said somewhere, I really need a shield to level there with my latency problems.

Not really, i personally saw nothing wrong with your build from the start, its a thin line your tredding on but it wasnt a build that cant level up. Have fun playing is most important.

Yeah i know its not always sunshine, lolly pops and rainbows everywhere but if it was gonna launch into the full nerd battle it is now, we should have just said this from the beginning.

DON'T DO IT!!! Not right now, at least... maybe when you're 150+. Just max Jack Frost for now, and try to get Recognized Spell 1 ASAP. Have you used your Mesmerist reset already? You can still be very useful in Mid TI parties, and can solo level at new world with Crimson Rock. But you'll likely want to reset in the future, specially because of the Freezing Spell points, but don't do it unless you are pretty much sure about how you want your warlock.

OH yeah used that a long time ago. I got freezing spellbook/reading/release because I thought going around insta-casting comet would be the best way to level.

It's a good way to solo mid-ti if you have enough SP items and decent gears, though I doubt you'd really need to save a second comet.

 

Gatygun doesn't like RSB > Release, I do. Of course it's best to cast the spell if you need it, but if you can one-shot or finish the monster with instacast, why not use it? Plus, it ignores the cooldown of al spells, so you can spam Comet with it, and it can be useful in some situations (reducing the time it takes to defeat Einteihen Crothen in ET, for example, or with Tetra Vortex). This skill is really badly designed, but useful nonetheless. Freezing Spell is almost useless, though. :P

What you're stating is just speculation if you lack the proof.

 

Still waiting on a source where it says "% MATK Skill modifier is multiplied"
