Something like WoE TE.

 

No Godly/ No temporal boots for example.

 

No gods and OP gears = you cant one shot noob gears people = no fun. Instead of disable gods and mvps, a more reasonable way to approach is to release nearly as OP gears as mvps/gods in cash shop or event ie unfrozen shadow gears. But actually whatever GMs do, people'll complain anyway.

Dear Campitor, at this rate I think we are simply repeating the history of the other thread.............


If it will be coming down to this why don't we just change the WoE Penalties as such:

  • Flee is reduced by 100%.
  • Long range normal attacks are increased by 100,000,000%.
  • All skill-based damage inclusive of Gloria Domini and Gravitational Field is increased by 100,000,000%.

My above proposed solution would mean we wouldn't need to any longer have to reduce any skills damage, increase cooldowns, add fixed cooldowns, take away delays, add extra animation delays, etc. since with this solution, everyone can now perform 'One-Hit-Wonders';
=Nobody is disadvantaged
=Everybody dies equally in one shot!
=Vanilla WoE achieved!

why not allow all characters in woe to be able to view the other guys equipments so newbs dont complain of OP gears if another newb pawned them  :thumb2:

 

heck, why is equipment view not allowed in RO anyway. it should be 100% viewable to all players

I mean... having everyone in accord would be impossible and if you make changes that will clearly benefit one group, the other will complain and if is a middle ground, both sides will complain so may as well, just disable it all together =).

Making everyone as pleased as one could imagine is not easy to attain, but perhaps reaching a middle point is possible. Now, saying to disable WoE is just uncalled for.

Indeed but that will be the only time where either everyone is happy or not.

 

I foresee a lot of push back on middle points since that's human nature but I believe when GMs start implementing the changes, people will come to accord.

 

The problem statement is too big and you may find several comments out of scope, specially when you have people with different background like we've been seen for the past 10 pages or so.

 

Problem solvings are not an easy feature but failure or success will depend mostly on how well define the problem statement is =).

Not sure if this is the right place to post, I just wanted to place my suggestions and hope it gets through someone. (Please remove if it's unrelated)

I can't comment about other classes but I would like to say something for my Wanderer.

 

Gypsy's Kiss

Is it possible to triple the effects of SP consumption, and increase the cap? For example, 150 INT gives 45% SP consumption reduction.

Total: 50% (level 10 GK) + 5% (level 10 Dance Lesson) + 45% (150 INT) = 100% immunity to Blood Lust.

This might sound overpowered, but it really does help saving costs in buying SP potions for PvM too.

 

Slow Grace

I'm not sure how movement speed is calculated, but it would be great if it reduces more movement speed. For example

170 AGI - movement speed of 'Mental Strength'

150 AGI - movement speed of 'Cursed'

(I've read that MS is actually slower than cursed, please correct me if I'm wrong)

 

Deep Sleep Lullaby

What happened to this skill? The descriptions seemed good but everyone said it got fixed and became really bad. (success rate dropped?)

I just felt that since Sorcerers have Arrullo, Performers should have a good Deep Sleep skill too.

 

Song of Destruction

Another skill that I read from irowiki. Does it remove Solo Skills (Magic Strings), Ensemble Skills (Classical Pluck), or Group A, B, C songs?

What effect does it do? I would like to suggest a delay on the targets before they can use songs again. Maybe 2 seconds with high success rate? Or 10 seconds with lower success rate? 

 

Other Chorus skills

The reason for buffing other Chorus skills, is so that there will be more variety in Skill Builds, rather than every Performers casting Sinking Melody only.

I'm bad with calculations, maybe 1% increase or decrease makes everything unbalance, but I just hope there will be some improvements in chorus skills such as Song of Mana, Lerad's Dew, Warcry From Beyond and Dances With Wargs.

 

I'm sorry to interrupt your discussions, and sorry if I used the wrong choice of words and confuses some readers.

I say nerf one skills to be -50 damage agaisnt human type monsters. I mean u did it to ninja classes why not the other one shot skills? Also I think this woe thread needs to look at balance patches. If we had those this game in woe would e alot better

Just going to keep agreeing with anyone that bring up balance patches.

 

Hard to fix woe without them or the ability to balance skills on our own

Thank mayhem I..no alot of people belive the game and woe will be alot better if we actually just got the balance patches and fixes first before hammering in on the mechanics we have now. It will do more damage than good. Hence why we strongly believe that the first step to help woe is to get these patches asap.

Suggestion: How about a system where only one God item or MVP carded item can be equipped during woe. Maybe the Gods got mad at the destruction the Midgardians inflict upon themselves with their gifts and penalize them for using two or more items in such a manner.

Suggestion : How about a custom WoE for 2nd class ONLY, with custom rental gears. Everybody is happy, no hax, no DB, no Thanatos AS, no Tao TC.

No one complains. New players will join it since everyone has the same chance, no OP gears and stuff. No spammable one-shotting skills, every class is useful.

They can always make a realm MVP disabled (or certain castles), god items aren't the big deal.

Chakri mentioned this already like 2 times but when they implement event woes with no gods and mvps, The first woe cs, sinergia and lyc show, The second and third one only one guild show, so The "people will be happy" is a relative thing. Actually was fun because people from all guilds join to that particular guild because of The gvgs we organize, but being honest The no mvp gpd thing has been proven as a really bad idea in the past, cause people like to stomp on others sadly.

Iirc that event was broken, and most of those items were still working. So nobody showed up cause it was basically the same woe as normal, but without the treasure.

Tao doesnt work, fbh doesnt work, gods work, gtb doesnt work aswell, Kiel was working and presumably samurai. That actually was fixed on The second woe and nothing work except for some gods wich really dont make a difference at all

Main reason y people didn't do the event woes was because there was no incentive for them. No guild drops ans stuff like that. So obviously people won't show up -_-
