Hello guys.

In the last 3 days i searched and read about artisans, then some questions come to me.

1. The only way to artisans is Gunner? i like cannons, then i thought about making a Con/Artisan with minimal Str to equip my next Cannon, max con, and spend the rest os stats on Sen. Is it viable, not to bad, or total trash build?

2. I read thats impossible to learn all crafts skills, true or false? I want to create gems, and some armors and weapons (with purpose of my own use, so great success of best stats is not my objective, castle and pat isnt either.)

*2.1. if i cant have all skills of craft, whats the best skill of choice for me?

3. And finally. its possible to do this with my build idea? (con/art/cannon crafting something)? or the answer is " :p_omg: Go Bourg, make money and buy equips from Real Artisans ".  :heh:

Thanks for help guys, waiting for tips  :p_hi:

As probably the only dedicated Cannon Artisan on the server I can tell you it is possible to have fun with them. However....

Should you Craft with a Cannon build?

No, not really. You can get away with simple crafting like lvl 0-10 items for max stats + Alchemy. Maybe Gem crafting and PAT but it seems you're not interested in that.

Essentially, anything that majority rely's on CON and sub-stats aren't what you're after.

Can you use a Cannon?

Absolutely. In fact, Cannon Artisan deal out a lot more Damage, Farm Better, Have a better list of utility AND can tank a little bit more than a Gun.

Can you learn all crafting Skills?

Yes, you can, but you will never use that Artisan for combat until you reset it again. Hence, if you want ALL crafting skills, you should not use the cannon build as it's not a combat skill set, and the STR would be going to waste.

Some other things to take note of.

1: You will die. and you will die a lot.

You'll have absolutely zero defensive passives or buffs. Because of this, you need to focus 100% on offense. Kill before you die, or you'll lose period.

2: Use your explosives!

Cannons Passive Critical, Critical Damage, Skill Power, Pierce and Attack Power ALL stack into Grenade + Explosive damage.

They can be used while under the effects of Mute, because they're an item, not a Skill.

They can be cast in quick succession for a short but efficient burst damage.

3: PvP Items:

Luminous. You have no other choice.

Epic Cannon or Luminous Cannon. You have NO other choice.

Luna Jewelry. 13% Crit, 13% MSpd, 13dex[useless] 24 Con. Can be sub-stat. Your BEST jewelry set.

Ferrel Back Shield. Your accuracy is terrible compared to a gun, but with proper gear and stats, it can be good enough.

Gold Patch. Pretty much your only choice.

4: PvM Set:

Epic Cannon. Only Choice.

210 2/4 Set [Skill Power pieces] 220 2/4 set [Skill Power glove + set]

Luna Set: Sub-stat for AP/Crit

Doctor Arms or Millenium: [probably both]

Gloopy or Gold Patch: personal preference.

Hope this helps you get started.

But just remember, you've been warned. Artisan are the easiest class to kill. So expect to die, a LOT.

[and in PvM / Dungeons expect to be pulling aggro off the tank until the Taunt update get's applied, cause you will. All the time. And you will die for it, unless the cleric is on their game]

Goodluck.

Thanks for many tips. Ill try the Cannon Artisan, and im glad to know that there's a successful cannon artisan =]

I wanna craft gems and some gears for me and my friends (leveling gears only w/ or w/o sub stats, if lucky). we ll level with Muse/FSCleric - Mage - and me with cannon artisan.

Any suggestion of ordem skills to learn? I plan to pick up some attack skills and invest the rest on passive and craft skills (following my next gear to craft, potions, gems, nades, ammo etc.).

My stats is correct? Str=enough for cannon. max con=damage and success for craft. rest in sen=for critical and little chance of stats on gear.

Ill consider PAT craft so.

If you truly want to shine in battle as a Cannon Artisan, I'd recommend closer to 200 STR, 300-350CON, rest into SEN.

My personal stats are

CON: 370

STR: 227

SEN: 225

leaving 0 points left [perfect allocation algorithm]

The stats above are much higher from Clan passives and the CON/SEN passives in the Dealer + Artisan Tree, but base build that's what you're shooting for.

Order I would learn skills are:

AoE's First > Passives [skip Cannonier, useless] > Save SP til 100 + 2nd Job > Passives > Sleep Lane First > Then choice between either Acid Lane or Crafting begins.

If you are totally new and this is your first character investment, you can spend some points in crafting at the level range where you start saving SP to 100. Just note, this will greatly impede your Damage output on AoE's, and making money with low level crafts is slow and tedious. I find it better to level faster, and gain access to end game items for profits.
