Mages are only any real threat when

A) You are not attacking them.
B ) They land a debuff.

Other than that they are pretty lackluster, slow (movement speed and skill casting speed wise) and low suvivability are a bad combination. They are not very good at avoiding stuns and arent very good at surviving when they do get stunned.

Voltage jolt/soul electric are slow and low priority, meteorite flow even more so (although it is an aoe. The only decent priorety stun is staff stun and it is close ranged and still gets beat out by many other classes stuns (weapon launcher at point blank range, sucker punch, concussive grenade and others).


Anyway, I really want to emphasize the fact of speeding up the casting time of some skills, because this is a class that can't survive long yet at the same time can't even get many skills off in the time they are alive for.

lol someone just randomly passed by and +1'd everything,yeah i was checking the animation and it took like 2-3seconds to pull off each.

if they make it dodge debuff.. make it an aoe range one like Aural Piece or w/e that mdef down thing is called.

oh thats a great idea even better then mine i like it :)
though mages have a aoe that debuffs dodge by like 50%

Is it just me or I don't find the permafrost chill useful anymore since they removed the 100% sleep from it, it is high MP consumption, high damage, slow and slow attack. I always find a stun more useful than debuff. That's why I actually did pretty good without even learning this skill. I have 3 stuns + 1 AOE stun anyways, Staff stun, Voltage jolt, Soul electric and Meteorite flow, and a powerful burn status Hellfire.

May be give mages an m-def passive? That might help some cuz many classes has magic attack. Mage doesn't need a buff, first step must be done is to nerf Champion class completely, remove all their mspeed passive (Mage doesn't have any either, so why not champ?) And revise their skill tree, may be just combine spear and sword skills, and make axe able to regular hit like hatchet (is that how's that called?) since their passive gives critical which related to SEN. Put back weapon requirement on skills, so spear and sword use the same skills and axe use another branch skills.

Anybody know what's the % on concussion grenade? I hate to see my mage get chain stunned by gunbourg or arti, nerf the grenade too if it's close to 100%.

For raiders, hm...I don't have a katar raider, but I do have a dual raider, seriously don't leave us a mspeed debuff as a skill, and it's not even an AOE? This mspeed debuff status should be combine with freezing assault, give us something else for the skill next to mental storm (forgot what is that called).

Xbow knight? They run way to fast for a class that has such outstanding defense.

From what I see, we need to nerf but not to buff anymore. Union war is getting boring, too many ppl play overpowered class. :angry:

its only u lol i see perma as a beast skill to use its 80% movement speed down 50% aspd down for 4 seconds
helps when someone trys to spam your party with aoe and then runs.

Only nerfing classes usually has more downsides. No one looks forward to their class getting nerfed even though it may be necesarry to balance things. Nerfs do need to happen, but in the right places; same goes with buffs.

Xbow knights with m-spd gears to run fast in UW's are like Raiders. We sacrifice m-spd for dodge/ap/def , thats the same with Knights, they sacrifice def/ap for more speed. They have abit of crappy ap aswell and only 1 debuff attack skill. Tbh i never really find xbow knights as a threat .__.

i dont mind other classes getting some movespeed
but i think raiders shud get some MS too....maybe replace sprint by quickstep(giving 15 to 20% ms at lvl 5 or sumthing)
(i posted cuz u guyz wer talkin about MS.....ill leave the mages part...i ve never played em)

Did you remember how they define the defense rating? The damage receive vs. defense is not a straight line direct proportion, damage receive is actually proportional to the square root (resemble) of the defense a character have.

You see this is why soldier classes including Champions and Knights generally don't lose a lot of defense rating in return of other nice stats, for example the m-speed, because their defense are already high.

Other class has to sacrifice a stat directly in return of other nice stats.

Set their spin skill (tornado, windstorm, tempest, hurricane) to 12 meters please. I hate having to literally stand right next to a monster and have the skill "miss" and faster animations for the skills would be nice too

I would just like to ask about the sleep of mages. Why was it removed? o.O, the only thing i find about sleep being op is through pvp (1 on 1). Im ok with raiders % now of sleep but mages... Why remove it?

yeah 1v1's but tbh mages (and on mine) dont need more stuns/sleep on my mage i could have
5stuns a total of 5stuns=7sec's (if all stuns land and work your able to use one after the other)
i currently have 4 and it does not seem a problem at all its the casting time on them that ruined me i could only use 2 or so stuns staff stun and one that has abunch of range and the others were canceld out so forget the sleep faster animation/def/mvspd!

Mages do have some of the best debuffs of all classes. Ironically the only debuff that doesn't do damage: Aural pierce has a lower percent status down than the debuffs that do damage.

They do have the best debuffs Though champs also have nice debuffs mages have a 80% movement speed down and 50% aspd down that means even if u were to be running 10k and he lands u with that ur moving @ 2k n if ur runnin 2k ur now running 400 also they have the icy hailstorm which brings u down to 200mvspd Jo matter what u had it's a -100% down mages also have tempest which is a 40% dodge cut they already have good rebuff they just faster animation for them
