Yes Feuer you might know the DG's before. But have you tried it now? Yes we were given 24 hours reset. Do you think it's enough time for us to test all possible build and get new gears and stuff? I don't think so. It took us some time to experiment and test combination and new set of gears. It doesn't only waste our time but also our zulie. And with the market now, it's hard to just buy stuffs. Try to listen to the people around and see what they want to reach out to the dev. We are playing for fun but with this constant updates with some of us haven't even reached the max runes it's totally not fun at all. I agree with Marveen and as costumers, our voices should be heard too. We do dungeon and PVP game arena everyday so I think our opinions should be respected here. Look at the people playing now and before, see how too much changes affect the game and players. See the spots and the actual players playing now. Did you see our population grew? I don't think so.....

The way you do discussions is not the objective way, Feuer.

As soon as someone is not your opinion you attack personally. And try to show some predominance.

So... its not very polite to say... "But I'll put it in simple terms that you should be able to relate to."

If you want to do that.. helping other persons to participate on the discussion and use simple words for that.... just do it.

But saying it like this... is like... showing your own greatness and telling someone how stupid he is to dont understand your textes.

It's just rude.

 

And as I understand this whole discussion... Feuer is the only one who likes that update.

Ya, he writes a lot about it, explains why he likes it... he is good with words and his English is great... but he is just one single member of the community.

 

I hope, that the staff will notice, that it is just him, who is fine with the update... from a very theoretical side...

The players who actually play rose, see this update very different... and they are a lot.

Their community feedback is unanimous.

Some of them raised their voice on forums for the first time, because this is so important.

That is probably the reason why they appear as new members on forums... but some are old members in game.

My account in game is almost 11 years old... my account on forums about one year. You can't see the rose experience and rose knowledge from the date the account on forums was made.

Well , u guys missed the point .

Launcher burn can still wipe a whole team in AA. u just made other aoe chars weaker.

and like the other ppl here , i just cant understand why to hurt pvm so much ?.

and why this wasnt tested in pegasus b4 apply it on prod ?

This is getting a little out of topic. So please people, calm down. Feuer is right and wrong at the same time depending on who is reading and interpreting it. Personally i really don't like the aoe diminishing update. The way you say it tho makes sense why it should be put in, but still i don't like how it goes.

 

1st off

Guys, stop shooting at this one guy (Feuer) he's had enough crap for the past years he has played and literally everyone shot at him before

 

2nd off

Start giving constructive suggestions on how this problem can be fixed. If you can think of one, say it. If you can't just say you don't like it.

 

3rd off

Feuer is literally the only one that is actively and consistantly getting updates from the dev (if i'm correct) on test servers, so any changes done there, he will know about it. I've experience this when he was testing the paradigm shift update, he was able to explain literally everything that's going on there.

 

4th off

No, i'm not backing him up, i'm saying STOP USELESS FIGHTTING OVER THIS, and THINK of a possible solution. The one that said increase PvM offence would be a nice add. Did anyone tried getting elements for their weapons that can fight well against mobs? (I haven't cuz i can't farm crap cuz my luck is terrible). 

Still i like the idea of finally getting new weapons and also extra PvM offensive. 

 

This is all i have to say, in hopes you guys calm the puppy down. Bye

I don't understand what the "messing" is here.

 

We got different bonuses on equips for PvP and PvM ... it was implemented on purpose to define the equip, Valor and Honor has been a bold note around that, we got different Runes aswell, good, let's make use of that.

 

I can't see a way why my suggestion could be not compatible with the actual Patch update, woudn't change anything of the good balance this brought to the PvP side (as I can read and understand from Feuer posts, this works fine, and I've rarily seen his point of view too far from mine, but that's personal)

 

I don't want this discussion to be driven in the wrong direction, here we do not want  a split between PvM and PvP players, we both have always been able to work on the updates in our ways, PvM is really easier (I only do that) but this shouldn't be taken as lazyness from those who only do that, I am not lazy.

 

I don't like how this "Divide et impera" mood is going on here, let's just understand: everything changes here, not too often (not enough probably), but on regular basis (talking about some big updates ofc, or adjusts following one) , remember Buff sets bug "fix" ? 

We can manage to make the game work anyway, but damn it, would be nice for once to be listened (technically "read") at forums.

 

This update made PvP better ... cool, I am with it, now, let's adjust the PvM side of it.

Being new in this forum doesn't mean we are new player, FYI feuer i play this since beta. My account doesnt have warportal account but i can still login in game. Like what other say have you try to do DG today i doubt no, Play dg alone with random people if you have time to find and see it by your self how bad this update is.

And I think this is a nice idea as well... talk to the class rep's before you do such updates. It affects so many classes... you should have heard their opinion first.

maybe we have a lot of inactive class rep's... thats another topic and yes... it has to be solved.

While we welcome feedback by all community members, and encourage discussions regarding any updates and balance issues you guys may see, attacking other players on the forum because their opinions are different from your own will not be tolerated. On that note, regardless of the opinions posted in this thread, no one player is responsible for these updates or any changes to the game, feedback is gathered from many sources and then investigated and tested by the Development team, before it will be added to the game. I will be cleaning up this thread of any posts that are not providing direct feedback, please know that further posts of this kind will result in this thread being locked.

I think the Dev team test only the changes but not the effect of the changes.

Id never heard that this new update tested on test server, so how a player can give their feedback,

 

It seems like the commercial server now is a test server for this new update

What if the monsters defense or HP is reduced.

I think it's a win win solution for both PVP and PVE players.

Dear ROSE GM's or DEV,
Don't destroy urself by heard 1 player opinion. Mine: Just nerf bourg/mage aoes because they're all too overpowered and got a lot of skills. Not ALL CLASSES. Champ, cleric gonna quit soon. Dont you know sword got 4 aoes too and hitting other players with small distance range and cooldown is too longgg? And how about spear with 6 aoes? So-sad. Players quit= you destroy urself, game and bus....ness. :)

Love it. I thought I'd comment because even though I know Feuer can handle himself in his responses (I don't know the guy by the way), it seems you think he is the only one happy with the update. So... let me be the second! :)

 

The problem with this game is that it started to become so simple. No thinking needed. 

This update brings different build options rather than forcing you down one route. I've been around on this game since the beginning, and i've seen more damaging things happen to the game compared to this balance update. I don't play very often now but when I do, i'm just reminded of how simple and boring classes have become, always forced down one route because it far better benefits any other build. 

This brings some uniqueness to each class and hopefully we will see some classes being less dominant in the game and others shine a little more.

Actually as Feuer said, it seems more logical now. The more targets you have, the more effort needed, therefore you would expect to see a damage reduction. AoE shouldn't be the dominant skill in the game for every class that holds the ability. 

I haven't messed around with numbers, or anything like that as of yet and yes, maybe the reduction might be too much, I don't know, but the idea behind it and the direction it is taking AoE skills is defo in the right direction. I want to see some single target skills being used and used effectively again! Not just spam your AoE rotation.

 

I play PvE only by the way.

Note: Before this get's removed, just be aware that this comment, directed entirely at me, was left after Lark did her thread clean-up. If it was okay for this post to address me directly, I should be allowed a fair response to defend my points in the matter.

Actually, discussing the objects of the game, the subjects if you would, is the very literal definition of objective observations. 

As soon as someone is not your opinion you attack personally. And try to show some predominance.

Pointing out that someone is labeled as new, is not a personal attack. It's an observation on how involved they've been in the feedback process.

Simplifying a response into plain terminology is something I've been told to do, because if I were to actually elaborate as much as I would like to do, the result would be too lengthy for anyone to read.

It wasn't meant to be rude, but if it was taken that way, then too bad, too late. I don't have magical powers of foresight to know how someone will read a response, it's an illogical request. That is precisely why I have said, I'm responsible for what I say, not how it is perceived.

People aren't going to go out of there way to post on the forums about how they like it. That is why there always seems to be an overwhelming negative connotation to Forum feedback.

Actually it's not a theoretical perception. I have already gone in, found several builds that function just fine. Just because I haven't given the exact details doesn't mean it hasn't been done. But I will give you a hint. AoE DoT's. You're welcome.

You're right, you can't tell how long someone has played ROSE by a forum join date. But you can tell how involved they are. How long they've remained consistent, publicly voiced opinion and over-all made sure that the DEV's know what's going on. 

 

But, if you want to check the thread again, you'll see that there are in-fact people who both understand why this change was important, and that some even like and embrace it. Just because you don't understand it, like it, or simply are against it because of the DPS loss on AoE builds doesn't mean it wasn't warranted.

At least bring back the old cool down. Since the Paradigm update it was longer on champs and other aoe toons. It will took champs time to aoe again even spears, with 6 aoes it will take time to cool down and with no aoe skills spears are pretty useless

Not only you realize Aoe Dot Feuer, but how about knight, 2H champ, Axe champ, wind type mage...? What's the point make DoT too important? And dont you think it's too hard for new players after this update?

Knight is meant for Aggro control, however they still have the advantage of reflected damage, which is not mitigated by AoE.

Axe Champion has AoE Burn, coupled with their Critical Damage, they'll be fine.

Wind Mage is purely built to Dodge, and CC. That's why they have 3 stuns, a mute, Accuracy down and dodge down. They're a support build.

2H Champ is probably the only one you listed who lacks a direct method to make up for it. They'd have to be one of the classes to adapt to a new semi AoE/Executioner build.

 

The point is exactly that, to take away the importance of blindly AoEing, and put that importance into using the proper cooldowns, strategy, and approach. In fact, I'll just list all of the classes who have no way to really make an adjustment aside from going to an executioner approach. 

 

Cannon Artisans.

Frost Mage.

2H Sword Champions.

Dual Raider.

 

That's it. Everything else this change either doesn't affect, or has such a little impact outside of the desired intention that it's not worth mentioning.

In my opinion, I like the previous patch. it just the buffers are way too powerful and they can change and ruin the game in pvp.

 

GGWP, by the way... TG is dead.

I am a spear champ and I have tried AA last night. What I have noticed is, whenever I do AOE in AA, my CD took some time in sense I can't be functional anymore during a clash. Can we at least as Champ spear could at least have a faster cd? since we rely on our AOE and the accuracy rate isn't that high because as what I have seen ever since our skills would mostly miss. That would be great to have a bit faster cool down.

Combat System Updates

After reviewing community feedback regarding Area of Effect (AoE) skill power in scenarios containing many targets, Area of Effect skills that inflict damage to multiple targets have been updated to diminish the amount of damage applied to each target, as the number of targets increases.

For example, hitting 2 players with an AoE skill will deal more damage to each target than hitting 5 players with the same AoE skill.

Note that inflicting AoE damage on a single target will not diminish damage.
 

 

 

Dear Genesis,

 

please change the skill description on all AOE skills in order to indicate that the damage done by AOE will be reduced by 20% to 60% of the actual value depending of the amount of targets being hit. Especially new player need to know that the skill power value showing on the skill is not what they will get from the second target onwards.

One of the old problem in rose they cant fix is the drop rate. Even now some mobs dont drop if u kill even have 300%

drop rate :(

even u have 300% drop rate but if the mob has  0.%1 chance to drop that item of course it will take some time to get it.

 

btw

u should know about:

 

common drop

uncommon drop

rare drop and soon.... if u figured this out everything  will be easy for you.

Skill with AoE potential will have their Skill Power divided among the targets hit. That's all that needs to be added to AoE tooltips.

Hello everyone,

 

I m pretty enthousiastic about this last update... unlike 99% of you all.

 

This is a fantactic news for pvp.. true... but it s also absolutly amazing for the PVE side of the game. 

Finally, the incredible imba differences existing between AOE classes and single target classes will get to be " a bit" reduced. This may in the long run lead to less class discrimination... and ppl finally considering playing non aoe classes in PVE... and even maybe encouraging ppl to stop AOE botting and start killing mobs on their own.

 

As I see it, you guys are sour coz Devs finally decided to nerf your oh so precious aoe spammers... and this brings a smile upon my face.

 

Don't get me wrong tho, I recon that their might be needs to adjust mobs HP... dungeon difficulty... in order to bring everything into the right place... but for once.... since many fraking years... Devs took a decision going in the right direction.

 

You should celebrate instead of whining, now that leonis is gone... their might be hope. Let's fking pop this champagne magmum waiting since ten years.... or wait... let s wait a few more patches to make sure this " we decided to do the right things" wasn t a lie.
