Dominators can assert control over the dead: they can restore dead creatures to life, or summon netherworldly beings to attack their enemies. They are also very skilled in curse magic.

Dominators generally summon monsters, and then cast buff magic to strengthen their minions. These minions are sent to the front lines of battle, and Dominators support them from a safe distance by de-buffing their enemies. 

 

Dominator Class has been one the most underpowered class for many years.

 

The changes below are supposed to make Dominator a more competitive class, especially in the PvP aspect (where it lacks mostly).

 

We strenghtened the debuffing aspect of the Dominator, making him the main debuffer class in the game.

The Dominator will be able to debuff a much higher variety of stats with this changes.

 

Regarding the Dominator Summons, we know they are very weak and needs to be buffed. The summons will be changed in the future, and their stats will reflect their Master (Dominator) stats and gears (not 100% of the stats and not all stats obviously). This will make summons much more balanced and competitive even in the "+30 aspect of the game".

Strenghtening Summoned Monster Attack : This 2 skills were completely useless unless you were an afk dominator, due to the very poor amount of stats and high skill points costs to max them. As a result, the 2 buffs have been fused into a single buff that increase both physical/magical attack of your summons.

Binding Weapon + new debuff : Binding Weapon has changed to a  STR/DEX % debuff and a new debuff will be added, that will debuff INT/MIND %. This will make Dominator much more versatile in PvE and PvP, and will open to an higher skill build variety and options.

Attack of Curse : Attack of Curse has been moved to Dominator as a new debuff. This debuff will give dominator the ability to reduce the target SCAD and CAD by %. Considering the loss of the lvl 1 Attack of Curse and the different playstyle of dominator compared to Defiler, this new debuff will give Dominator an higher chance of survivability in PvP, as well the ability to EFFECTIVELY REDUCE ENEMY DAMAGE IN PVP. This debuff is supposed to make the class more popular and competitive in the PvP aspect, and will help countering the "mighty scad and cad builds".

Lithifying Fog : This skill wasn't really supposed to be on Dominator Class, considering it's a SUPPORT type skill (removes stun and gives stun immunity for players that don't know). The skill has been moved to Protector where it fits much better.

 

 

Defender/Protector taunt skills will have a much higher HOSTILITY value too.

Broken Morale :  In exchange of Lithifying Fog, Dominator will receive Protector's Broken Morale, another debuff that fits very well the Dominator Class.

 

 

Note : This are only a part of the skill changes and are expected to change based on players feedback.

 

Due to various changes to class skills, all classes will have their Skills and  DNA reset (and the UJC NPC will be avaiable at Nova Lux).

thinking now, dominator now doesnt really need the summons when he can dominate the enemy stats, is better to make debuffer one and keep at safe distance to deal dmg, looks nice, but now with this buff i dont really see that i really want to use summons, just defuff peppl till death

Yeah I know, as now the only decent summons in pvp are kazara and humbaba and a bit ennon, and players will prefer using mainly the debuffs and only those 2 or 3 pets (even if Reaper is still pretty good to do some damage if your char isn't so strong). But as I wrote, summons will be buffed in the future, it just takes more time to change the pets and balance them that's why we focused on the debuffing aspect first.

only illusion should have imune from kicking ... and that str/dex int/mnd debuff + with the scad/cad debuff are they single target or group ? cz in battlefield if u target 1 person ok u'll drop his scad/ cad vry bad but u're only killing 1 person so it's kind of useless  unless u're 1v1  some1 (pk )

They are single target (except broken morale). Dominator is a single target focused class.

a debuffer or CC Based domi have lithi, shape of fear, shadow binding, now binding soul, and a chunk of new debuffs! its awesome xD

u have to make plays with domi, is kinda suppotive, with debuffs, and DOTS from back lines helping mostly the melee classes like WL, SIN, Zerk, Ranger, SR.

but with new debuffs u can help your team to shut down/stop the dps on pvp.
With lithi, shadow binding, binding soul, shape o fear u can stay at really safe position disrupting the enmies, and stoping the dps's.
+ more debuffs now, it would be AWESOME.

hmm, no more Accuracy debuff ? I'll miss it somehow but however - sounds interesting and I'll enjoy the testing when its ingame ^^

Domi is a single target class anyways but still u can play it like a multi-target-class. And regarding XX vs Domi - once there was a time when 3 Sins jumped on a single domi in Union - that domi debuffed their Accuracy 1 by 1 and killed them 1 by 1. Its not useless to use single target debuffs in such situations

 

edit : dafaq u robbed my blue sparkling ?? *grml* - however challenge accepted ^^ physical AA classes will take a deep breath now when they realize they aren't the most wanted preys by domis anymore *loooool*

I like these changes to Dominator, im sure alot of people will try it even if its for a short time, the scad debuff i love alot and its not anything so op since its single target, i hope it will be a high number of scad reduced :)

Hmmm I like the changes for Dominator, It will be fun to pvp with, and also would be more active in battlegrounds. People (Counting me ofc) mostly played it for years as AFK mode character.. for farm or grind..etc. So I think its a great boost for make this class more popular.(Just you were the only that was playing it active,before you switch to defiler ihgyug e,e )

Also talking about the Protector things I like Lithyfied, will boost us really good in PVE-PVP areas,Broken Morale yeah also fits more with domi,Since the begining I always though that skill wont fits for prot.But with lithyfied that skill we will be more supportive and also our party. The taunt skills with much more Hostility were so neccesary too.. Because we were losing the aggro so fast if many scad builder casters were in the party.
I like all the changes right now but we will see what more changes coming for it :0
I hope a HP boost or something for Prot because its ridiculous we get like 45-50k Max HP and WL/Zerks 65k+ (+ with OP dmg) lol
when Tanks should be the hightest HP class in game, because we designed for tank bosses,support etc.. + our Low base dmg thats a "weak point" but,well we supportive class anyway.. I would go commander instead if I wanna be more offensive.

i`m a bit speechless to be honest.


And perhaps even later have mnd and dex reduce scad/cad dmg
OR maybe a different stat that reduces s/cad dmg
Not sure which is easier or better

Dominator needs another source of damage. Pets do really do nothing, Domi only has Bloody Arrow to spam for damage. Buff pets, maybe also a second spammable damage ability for that tree.

The STR/DEX and INT/MND debuffs should do damage anyway (now bugged).

Pets will be improved in the future.

Broken morale

str/dex and int/mind debuff

 

Seems nice :) depends when we get it hehe.

 

Also invis/soul shield/bless wind all sux as SH first class compared to other races i would say.Need buffing those 3 buffs or changing.Other than that cant wait xD.

The STR/DEX and INT/MND debuffs are now STR only and INT only debuffs (58% at max level), but they have damage too.
The SCAD debuff is delayed.
Blesing of Wind now does a bit of movement speed. Soul Shield is pretty decent because of the % defense, even if only a bit. Invisibility maybe will be better in the future. Pets will be improved, programmers are working on it so pets can get some of the Dominator stats too.

Try and work on getting a Skill Reset and UJC with the vendor. It makes more sense to reset skills when trying new skill changes. Obviously skill resets with a timer.

Just buy 2 UJC and rechange to the same job and u get all your skills and dna reseted^

 

So for defiler.Defiler-->ujc to Domi-->Then ujc again to def.Thats if u didnt know.

There's actually more domis than before.
Unfortunately they don't play bgs because hard to max and pets instant die.

No fog = no domi. Now this profession not have a antistun = weak and paper for all who have control 3+ sec. LOL.

how can u make it better in pve if u're -_- the other target and dropping his scad like 500 less ( or cad ) and his pcc/scc at least 50% and yet after all that he gotta handle ( let's say op defi going domi and yes i'm pointing at u kaz but regardless of the OP** ) be like pets with slow and humbaba for stun ~ equals to qualin ~ + let's say 30k HP + 3k scad and that's just a noob defi far away from current OP ones ) so yeah u'll hit hem with 3.3k and u stun the enemy and debuff his ass with 3 stupid debuffs that have been made insta ... cz casting pet wasn't enough for insta . so yeah your skill changes SUX !
