Yay! Rebel Awakening finally here!!!!!!!

wiki pages Gunslinger/Rebel have been updated.

Before I start, I want to tell you guys, I'm sorry that this guide won't include all builds of rebel, because I'm always a bad Crit player/ never play PvP/ and I'm not good (super lazy) at playing with the damage formulas. So I'm still a noob compared with senpais, and I have my own preferences. But I love this class, and I hope this guide can give a few hints to total fresh Rebel players, for more people to discover the fun of Rebellion!

General:

Rebel got great various AoE skills, powerful single target skill, and even nice debuff skills that can help with the party and in WoE.

Got different kinds of bullets and skills' damage can be increased by converters too.

Rebel is a 2nd job class, level ur gunslinger to 99/70, no need rebirth, do the easy job change, good to go!

Rebel is super easy to level with wonderful Desperado (Gunslinger) and Round Trip Skill. Even can be a good killer in bio4 party now.

Since Awakening makes Rebel skill damage at least doubled, and weapons can be bought at vending machine/npc, it is cheap to get enough damage in certain cases. It also gives Rebel the ability to run more intances with less efforts than before.

And MVP killer? yes! Check out senpai Silvianna's awesome gif!

slugshots.gif

Of course, Rebel also has it's cons:

Apart from the ones on irowiki,

Weight problem is Rebel's big concern as always. Not only the bullets and different guns, the missiles for Dragon Tail skill and the slug bullets (120weight) can easily make you overweight all the time, even with Gym Pass.

Rebel is kind of vulnerable compared with other classes that can equip shields.

Where to buy bullets

I saw many people complain about going to Rebel Guild to buy bullets and make Case. But that's not the only place you can get them.

*Bullets and other rebel comsumables like Traps, Missiles, etc can be bought from Prontera Vending machine (/navi prontera 96/206), just beside the guns vending machines.

Spoiler

*And Rockridge Weapon Dealer(located inside tool shop) sells various elemental bullets that are not level required!!! There are also some guns you can buy from him. (Thanks @layupka for reminds)

Spoiler

*To make bullet Cases, we can go Izlude Tool Shop and find Bullet Merchant Kenny(/navi izlude_in 74/104), talk to him, make bullet cases just like arrow quivers

Spoiler

*The Trading Merchant right up there also sells some bullets and guns

Spoiler

Gunslinger leveling part

Dex is the first and most important stat to add. When reach lvl99, it should be Dex99, Int40+ and Vit50+.

Desperado: perform damage to mobs around the caster between 0 and 10 hits randomly

lvl 1-35 13100.pngSix Shooter[1], use normal attack like archers to kill mobs that cant move. meanwhile add all skill points to max Desperado skill

lvl 35-70 13102.pngCrimson Bolt[1] at lvl35, u should be able to use lvl10 Desperado to AOE mobs

lvl 70-99 13127.pngCrimson Revolver[2]/13107.pngWasteland Outlaw[2]

Skill build recommended:

Last Stand and Gunlinger's Panic also good to have to gain more damage

Rebel leveling part

Solo leveling or main killer in party

Though there are many skill trees can be used for leveling, I think Round Trip definitely the best and most efficient one to lvl to max. And which is better is it no longer requires coins to use the skill, so just go spam it like a GX! Well, I would say it's even better than RC, because no need to pull mobs!

Round Trip: deal good damage and push mobs away, will cause additional damage if mobs are knocked at the wall

Rich's Coin: generate 10 coins for other skills' use

Platinum Altar: consume all coins to increase ATK (more coins more ATK), at the same time create a holy barrier similar to Kyrie Eleison, not only for Round Trip. Only can be used with purifying bullets

Fire Rain: also good damage, especially using Probation Gatling Gun[1], but it's 3X10 range, got to line up the mobs to kill all.

Stats :

STR: 1-90(bullets are heavy)

AGI: 1+ (not much useful for lvling cuz RT knock mobs back and Platinum Altar gives "Kyrie Eleison" protection) / 80-110 (if u wanna go with Crit or Quick Draw Shot in future)

VIT: 50+ (for survival)

INT: 40-100(many skills consume more SP now, depends on your leech gears/need more int if u r going shotgun build)/120 (if use Seraphim Coronet, also good for shorter casting time for some builds)

DEX: 120 (main stat for damage and hit)/100 (if you plan to use modified str boots)

LUK: 1/33+ (cheaper extra ATK)

Weapons:

lvl 100-106 13159.pngButcher[1] can be obtained through a quest, Hillslion Card or Andre Card recommend, or leave uncarded for sell

lvl 100-175 28216.pngProbation Gatling Gun[1]  good to use if you maxed Gatling Fever Skill

lvl 106-175 13197.pngMinigun[2] with Archer Skeleton Card or racial cards for high ti and NCT

lvl 120-175 28225.pngBurning Rose[2] with Archer Skeleton Card or racial cards for high ti and NCT

lvl 140-175 13198.pngTempest still good damage even no slot

But for leveling in bio4 parties, Round Trip is highly not recommended for pushing mobs away. Better use Fallen Angel + Desperado (outside ME) or Fire Dance or Dragon Tail or Shattering Storm.

Weapons recommended: Crimson Revolver[2]/Altair & Ares[1]/Probation Revolver[1] with Hydra card(s)

so much fun lvling rebel in nct now:3

Spoiler

Now with the rebellion scarf[1], Shotgun build(Shattering Storm skill) is also very good for lvling, normally I just one shot big bells, but with hawkeye proc lol

Spoiler

More skill trees

The skill points of rebel have increased to 59 thanks to awakening, which enables us to try out different guns and skills for more fun.

Crimson Marker: to mark target and reduce target's movement speed, required for Quick Draw Shot/Dragon Tail/God's Hammer to deal damage

Flicker: active Howling Mines or Binding Traps. One coin is required for each perform

Hit Barrel: consume all coins to boost ATK and ASPD, also decrease Fixed Cast Time by 5% for each coin spent (50% at most)

Etenal Chain: allow all guns to use Chain Action, I barely use this

*Pistol or Revolver

Fallen Angel: "Snap" to target location, will double Desperado damage if Desperado skill is performed within 2sec after it. one coin is required to each perform

Fire Dance: 5X5 Aoe damage around caster, additional damage depends on Desperado skill level. Unlike Desperado, it can be used on Magnetic Earth. Coins no longer required to use the skill. Tho it's damage lower than RT, but less cooldown time, more spammable, more useful in instances and mvp.

Weapons recommended: Crimson Revolver[2]/Altair & Ares[1]/Probation Revolver[1]/Black Rose[2]

Tested with racial cards: Probation Revolver little better on fire dance, but less than the other two on desperado

Quick Draw Shot: haven't looked into this, but requires high aspd but not too high, can use Hit Barrel for more damage. According to Silvianna's tests, better control your aspd at 189-190 after Hit Barrel for best proc. Lower or higher aspd will affect the proc chance. Rebellion Scarf[1] is the best accessary for this build.

*Rifle (more of for WoE I think)

Mass Spiral: says good for MvP with high Def, I havent tried. No coins required

Anti-Material Blast: reduce demi-human resistance while deal damage. No coins required

God's Hammer: deal good damage on crimson marked targets and the mobs around them. Coins required to perform, and will consume all coins. No casting time but have 30sec cooldown time

Weapons recommended: Probation Rifle[1]/Finisher[2]

*Grenade Launcher

Howling Mine: activated only by Flicker, deals fire damage on target and mobs in range. No coins required

Dragon Tail: launch missiles at all Crimson Marked targets and only the targets. Dragon Tail Missile is required to cast the skill. Have similar damage to God's Hammer but much less cooldown time.

Weapons recommended: Probation Grenade Launcher[1]/Avenger[2]

*Shotgun(endgame build, can be used in WoE)

Shattering Storm: deal damage to target and the mobs around the target. has chance to break their helms. No coins required. Great mob clear skill with the Rebellion Scarf[1], both in instances or lvling.

very easy to farm Faceworm Nest ^▼^

Spoiler

Vanishing Buster: deal damage to a single target, meanwhile possible to remove target's buffs and debuffs. No coins required

Slug Shot: powerful endgame single target damage skill. The heaviest bullet: Slug bullet(120weight) is required, but cannot equip. The accuracy of the shot decreases for every cell after the first 3 cells from the target. Long casting time and cooldown time. Can use Hit Barrel for more damage and less casting time. No coins required

Weapons recommended:  13192.pngDeath Fire[1]/ Dustfire[2](30% more dmg with Armor-Piercing Bullet)

Dustfire deals more dmg using Shattering Storm, but for SlugShot, Death Fire and Dustfire not much difference.

All the skills above, can be affected by element converters.

My favorite Skill(no weapon required)

Spoiler

Binding Trap: throw a trap under caster's feet, reduce mobs' movement in the trap. activated by Flicker will deal good damage on all the targets inside the trap. damage is 15% of current HP of the targets + DEX*10 regardless their attributes or flee, and can be doubled by Lex Aeterna, which is OP for high HP MvP. Cooldown time is 10sec, no coins required, one Special Alloy Trap consumed.

in memory of Drake in TLAPD event - 51m hp down in 10s w/o any fancy gears

Spoiler

Rebel in WoE (thx to Icarus05 for the detailed info)

As I said before, to farm ti, it is not necessary to get all best gears, especially awakening doubled our damage.

Weapon:

With Episode 16.2 updates, the best guns of almost all builds for now are from the Heart Hunter War Base 2 instance drop : 16.2 new items. And all the new guns can be enchanted at Malangdo. All these guns are lvl3 weapons and only need +9 to get full effects.

Accessories:

28438.pngFairy Leaf Powder[1] - good for lvling with FAW ea4/2/1 and lower budget dmg

28521.pngGiant's Protection[1] - good for dmg if str is 120

28531.pngBlacksmith's Gloves[1] - good for mvp and higher def mobs

28484.pngRebellion's Scarf[1] - great dmg boost for QDS build, Shotgun build and other secondary skills, stack

28594.pngTemporal Ring[1] - great dmg boost with Hawkeye enchant

28551.pngImperial Glove[1] - reduce variable casting time, and cast cannot be interrupted

28495.pngSheriff's Left Badge[1] & Sheriff's Right Badge[1]

More to add................

I hope this helps somehow, and senpais please correct me if anything not good

Before awakening:
Spoiler

Why spend one point in Gunslinger Mine if isn't pre-req of any skills of rebel? Disarm shouldn't be lv 5?

As with a few of my old characters, I've been looking at bringing my old Gunslinger up to speed with current content. I've changed them into a Rebellion and I'm looking at re-evaluating my skill setup. On my own, I came to the same general conclusion as the sample build in the OP based on the Rebel skills I wanted, but there's one thing I'm not super sure about.

What's the general consensus on Snake Eyes? I'm aware that level 10 used to be required for Increase Accuracy, but that this is no longer the case. As a Rebellion with that build, the range is basically only going to affect your auto attacks, your level 7 Trigger Happy Shot/Spread Shot, and your level 1 Gunslinger Mine. Would it be worth it to take out four points and put them into Single Action instead? You'd lose four panels of range on those things, but you'd gain 4 Hit and 2% attack speed. But I'm not sure how much any of it matters if you're not really doing any auto attacks in the first place because you're probably not going to be wasting your time with uncapped skills either. Or is there something else I'm forgetting?

If you never plan to use auto-attack, it's probably fine not to max Snake Eyes.

Auto-attack crit with Heat Barrel is pretty strong though, and can be a safe way to handle things that would be dangerous at closer range.

The Gunslinger Shadow Weapon gives 3% def ignore per level of Snake Eyes (normal mobs only). There are other sources of def ignore, so it's not a must to get this bonus, just something to be aware of.

while i dont know for certain if this applies to any of the rebel skill, skills casting range may use their own set distance or use your autoattack range+1

Sadly, none of the Rebel skills benefit from Snake Eyes. :sob:

Yeah, only 5 Gunslinger skills benefit from the range and no Rebel skills. Pretty unfortunate, but at least you can take the Hit bonus from it.

That's some good info about the shadow weapon, though. I'll think on it for a bit before pushing him past 100 and committing to the build as is. Thanks!

EDIT: Did just a bit more looking into it when I got some more free time. If class enchant stones ever come (if, ever), it seems there's one that gives +2 attack per level of Snake Eyes, as well as being a set bonus with one that gives +20% damage to Round Trip that makes it give an additional +15%. So I guess you could consider it some level of future proofing? For the undetermined future?

Hey i've been trying out the rebel class in a private server to test out skills before finalizing my character in chaos. So far i'm enjoying the gatling gun / revolver set up, just switching to revolver for the fallen angel as my movement skill. Felt like the revolver skills are underwhelming compared to round trip. Is there a better setup for rebel skills? Thanks!
