Honestly makes me wonder why people would volunteer for the job anymore.

3 reasons I can think of

1) They genuinely love the game and want to help and/or already do similar things in service to the RO community and want the staff to actually realize that

2) powertripping

3) curiosity

I wouldn't. I'm already expected to mod and be held accountable for my dumb guildies.

After reading this thread, it just makes me more suspicious about people both in the game and on the forums. I have, after a kind reminder from Oda, been more prudent in my postings as I now have no idea who is allieged with who in the circle known as the WP forums and it is beginning to pick at me to no end in my mind who is going to betray who at this point, I even have new recruits in my guild and am getting very doubtful about their origins, could they be truely new players or a Vmod ready to get me extremely banned for 10 days after finding out the secret to what my occupation is during the late night? Not that it isn't legal under Australian law. I feel most times we are all against eachothers throats and its no longer much the peaceful community as it used to be pre-2016 when most of the problems really occured.

Everyone is quite welcome to their views on this situation but for me, thats how I feel about the current context.

I also don't think this whole VMod discussion even needs to happen. Overall, when the anon system was introduced I disliked it. But because it was people should respect it. Aside from that, it shouldn't take one troll to dismantle the whole system when it was fine. I'm surprised people even took him seriously.

Simple rule for WP forums these days: Don't feed the trolls.

Just go about your business, no need to pay heed to the obvious trolls who only want to create chaos. Responding to them only gets them what they want. Yes, in an ideal world all trolly posts should be nuked on sight, but since we don't have such a Utopia, just ignore them. Not that hard. There are plenty of other forum goers here who actually want reasoned debate. Shouldn't let a couple trolls ruin that.

Harmless trolls = just there to have fun, not provide anything meaningful to the thread.

Annoying dumb ones = just there to stop other people from doing anything productive, derives fun from annoying other people.

Whatever you do, don't feed the second kind.

Sorry Wolf I'm kinda trying to do a last minute essay and interjecting myself into this thread and another thread, now I'm kinda lost on whats happening anymore.

But onto the updates: Its a shame EXP event ends and the crates are going away. They havent even been in for 2 weeks? Also looking forward to more news about the amistr bag fix when its more than HQ needs still to fix.
