%matk gears dont show on your alt+q

any worthwhile cards for a +15 crimson staff? or just leave it uncarded? enhanced necromancer seems great but its not on this server yet i think

 

Scrap your 2-handed staff and switch to 1-hand staff instead for devastating mdef piercing combo, either Lacryma Stick for 100% MDEF piercing potential or Crimson Rod for higher MATK Boost with MDEF pierce

 

edit: I forgot sorc previous class doesn't have frost nova skills prerequisite as opposed to WL

what all mdef piercing card combos exist?

 

i made two +10 1h crimson staves. going to try and up them (got one to +14 but didn't +15). ill make two sets and use my 2h staff for demi humans or any other race that there is no card combo for

Kvm is bettter for demi human, by faaaar.
For other races, the 50% mdef pierce from lacryma combo is often more damage.

do big bell cards stack for 100% mdef pierce?

 

can i use kaahi in scarabas? nightmare? nct?

It's big ben and no they doesn't stack, in any case when i lvled my Sorc i used to always have Kaahi on while lvling at NCT. I used TSOD and SC combo and still do till this day xD

still need to pot alot in nct? they hit for more than kaahi heals.

 

another question: orelans glove + orleans server or MBS?

 

also, what is the cooldown on diamond dust? is 2 spirit king rings worth it?

You can use Energy Coat to reduce the damage you take and Fire Wall to keep mobs away from you.

 

I'd go with MBS.

if u didn't achieve instant cast or near instant cast, no point using spirit king. your time mostly spend for casting skill rather than spam

Take a look at the cooldowns?

At 0:14 I use DD with no ring and at 0:38 with 1 ring.

Just compare how long the paw icon blocks the use of DD. :v

i have 120 dex and temporal dex boots, spell 6,6,7 faw, and kk +9 COD for cast gear. is that good enough?

 

can't save warp at el discastes or the map south of it. how to bring my kaahi slave?

instanst cast through gear

temp dex spell 5= 10%

spell faw= 30%

COD KK= 29%

 

total 69%

 

getting tsod spell enchant can makes you above 80% reduce variable cast time, i think that's good enough

 

or you can achieve instant cast through stat, 180 dex + 170 int

 

but i suggest getting instant cast through gear for early level

 

after you reach 120 int and 120 dex stat on your character, you can change it into instant cast through stat. it achiveable with some food and +dex/int gear

why would i use a tsod though. wont a crimson rod with nightmare mimic or big ben be better for many races (with the nightmare arclouse and neo punk)

my cast is fast enough like this, especially with ventus out. i think ill go with 2 spirit king rings. with elviras

tsod not that bad, depend on the monster race and your character role. like in bio 4 if you want achieve instant cast for ME, it easier with tsod or combat knife with spell enchant. but if your cast fast enough, then up to you

TSOD is better against no mdef/low mdef mob, crimson is good on the low-mid mdef range and thats it because you are a sorc, high mdef will still renders you but we are talking of mob with that 400 mdef or such (wich are high end monsters anyways in instances most of the times). For sorc get the 2 KOSR as people stated to you, also, kite more, dont try to tank everything, that wont get you so far because you are a mage, you can be very tanky, i agree, but you are still a mage with mage hp, move around.

Not every staff is ok for ALL monsters, you need to swap a little bit, like people said, KVM for demi human, crimson with NCT/Pyramid combo for undead, formless, demon, brute ones, (with high mdef anyway) most of th emob that doesnt have mdef will die due to elemental advantage with a high upgraded TSOD.

About casting time, you need to go with stats or gear, you can use both but the benefits will be lesser than go one route than the other.
