All my characters gone

So, I just updated and get t his one after log in

After that, all my character slots appeared empty, on all my accounts I'm about to send a ticket but first maybe u guys  have some idea

Your patcher may have missed a few updates. Please do the following:

 

1. Get the patch.inf from here and replace it with the one in your game folder.

2. Right click Ragexe and Raganarok.exe one by one and select Properties>Compatibility Tab>Check the box that says "run this program as an administrator">Apply>Ok.

3. Follow my advice on this page and see if it helps.

So... it didn't work, I get this now, after clicking "Play"

Maybe there are more errors, I think I'll try to reinstall the  game...

Berto, at this point I will suggest a full reinstall.

 

Re-posting
Some points to keep in mind when reinstalling/patching (Renewal ver):

  • Make sure you are using the latest client (official link, mirror links).
  • Run Ragnarok.exe / Ragexe.exe as an admin all the time to avoid patching problems. Right click the file > Choose Properties > Choose Compatibility tab > Choose Run this program as an administrator > Apply > Ok.
  • Have one single instance of the patcher, note that all game clients must not be running during the installation and patching process.
  • Keep an eye on the patching bar for any issues.
  • The patcher should not be downloading the same recent files every time launched, if so follow Step#4 here.
  • In case of "failed to get file" browse iRO Renewal FTP server and manually download the patch in question, place the file(s) under your RO folder, run the patcher again.
  • Any other: Refer to this thread for common issues and their solutions.

I got in perfectly, but everytime I close my client, It repatches from again, that 58m patch lol

If you are 100% certain that you successfully patched the game and have not run into any issue, get this patch.inf file and replace it with the one in your game folder. This will solve your issue of the patcher re-downloading the same set of patches again. If however you do run into errors, then it means the patches weren't applied properly. In such a case, get this patch.inf and replace it with the one in your game folder. Get the following Doram Update File and scan it with your AV. Extract its contents to your game folder and run the patcher. Once the patcher repacks and is successful, login and check whether the issue was resolved. If it was, delete the files you transferred earlier since they will not be auto-deleted.

That's the file I placed and repatched my ro with. (patch.inf) but still it repatches everytime I reopen a client. i think I will try to repatch it again using the given file which is (get this patch.inf). What file to be deleted? the one that I got from those patchlinks? Thanks

The files you get from the Doram Update File .zip archive I linked above. Since the files were put there manually, the patcher will not delete them upon repacking.

After extracting, and runnin the patcher. It starts to patch again from 2011

If you happened to re-download the game and re-installed it, do not use the patch.inf to force a 2017 patch. The client has to download all the previous patches, else you will run into a lot of sprite errors and the only way to fix that would be to re-install it again and allow it to patch from 2016 until present.

The only way is to force it via replacing the patch.inf with one pertaining to a much older date, which requires the patch number so that the patcher can start downloading the files that come after said patch. Can you list the steps you followed after you re-downloaded the game? If you did a full re-install of the game but used the patch.inf I linked to get the 2017 updates then you will have to uninstall the game, restart the computer, install the game again. And then let it patch normally from February 2016 or get the files from the ftp server and transfer them for a manual patch.

patch.inf is not an update/patch; it contains the identifier of the last installed update. It's required by the updater and shouldn't ever be deleted. The only way of avoiding errors is to fully update the client.

Not working on me. Still got a patching problems. It says the patch is done but then the errors comes up. I already downloaded all the files and follow the instructions.

Please download the newer installer from the website. Camp said it also has the Doram data so new installs should have a lot less patches to download.
