Yikes, inflation that high kills off any new player who wants to play but doesn't want to spend. And considering you need to mall to do well, not good. Ends up in a game bleeding players and not getting any new ones.

yup. Blame new set

That's like blaming the gun for shooting someone.
If we are blaming someone it should be helium.
He released the dungeon with endless spawning bottable mobs that dropped tons of lant. A quest that gives tons of lant. Hooray inflation!

As for mandatory mall for compounding, well yeah. But that's not surprising is it? Enchanting and compounding. That's where most of the money comes from.

What can i say... this new release will forced players to buy mall, its cheaper to buy Raid reset than Lesser xeons, plus, you will probably need mall to compound the set set.

A free user would spend a year to complete this new set and may not finish.

Bound: 7 days

that's 4 raids per month if lucky enough to get invit and 48 per year

If he wins a lesser xeon he still needs 59 more for full set.

and that's only the count for Lesser.

Ah, but you see that's not exactly how it works. You are right, some cashers will spend mall on raid resets. However, there is another reason for the low drop count.

Think about it this way, would you do a 12 man raid for 6 drops?

No, that is silly. You end up with 6 people not getting anything.

However, you would quadruple log with 2 other friends, and that way you each get 2 drops.

But now take a look at the math. In the first scenario, there are 12 accounts logged into the game. That is decent, but, take a look at second scenario.

Those 12 people still want to raid. But now, they will pair off in groups of 3, each quad logging. That's 48 accounts logging in. That is a nice juicy amount! And it costs nothing. And thats how you get an inflated number of thousands of players logging in. Sure. 2 thousand accounts logged in, about 500 people.

Of course there are other people who will log 10 accounts by themself and farm with macro.

But the end result is simple. This discourages the concept of having a bigger UNIQUE player party, and encourages multi logging.

Theres another variation of this for people who cant multi-log but have multiple toons. They join multiple raids on different toons. The end result is the same though, inflated player numbers.

Another interesting thing, though probably not intentional, is the fact that the boss likes to run away sometimes, which burns CM time. And the fact that he has lith, which makes it very difficult to solo at the end since you will get lithed and he will reset. But both of these are probably just coincidences. Highly doubt that helium actually thought about that when he made it.

Great comment. +1

I don't want to raid with 30 ppl, using my CM and my Raid reset for nothing.

Holy sh*t Batman ...

And there was a time when I used to sell malls for 1 k lants (that is 1000, one thou, yes), or even around 800 to some guildies / friends.

I guess when everything still had some value... Then stuff happened and old lil ReQQ became the cheap **** it is today, just like this:

Again, how sad.
