FARMING LOCATIONS

Can anyone suggest other monsters to farm for either dust of cards, steel or gold? I've been doing mimic for the longest time but now at lv 87 I feel I need to move on and do a bit of both leveling and farming.

Look at the market and see what people are selling in terms of cards. Weapon cards sell very fast because people build many weapons for different situations. You can put your character and auto farm a specific card for a while and get lots of diamond by selling on the Market.
Dust of Card can be made very easily by farming low level monsters and breaking down the cards, but you will not get very much exp. This means a lot of time wasted when you could be leveling and getting different items instead.

Do gold just start dropping after a certain level?

Gold does not drop anywhere. Has to be a 4 star monster and level 50 or above. Exactly, why lucas showed pics of matyrs and soldier skeletons.

If you're farming for gold and you aren't decked out in gear, anything above sphinx is inefficient because of the hp to exp/item ratio becomes garbage.

as TatakaiRyu said ,gold not drop anywhere,i can confirm this 100%, only 50+ level monster drop 4 star card will drop gold, Bignutt you can try and hunt mimic for 1 or 2 days and it will not give any gold for sure

what specific map and location for matyr spot? there is a bunch of spot at sphinx and pyramid 2f
