The Rock RIdge Update is live on Sakray! Please feel free to login and test. If you experience any issues please let us know!
 
 
When providing reports on issues please provide as much information as possible. An example format is below:
 

Character Name: 
Issues: 
Details Leading to Issue:
 (IE: City Names, NPC names, Monster names, item names, what was done just before the issue, etc)
 
 

KNOWN ISSUES: 

  1. 1) Bullets are missing their atk value in the description

    2) MVP tomb does not spawn

    3) Kafra does not give access to 2nd storage or teleportation services

    and 4) costumes are account bound but with no indication.

  • Two dialog boxes have text overflow. I know one word is "Zeny", but I forget the other one.

Time to hurt ma head. 

 

Bugs so far: 

 

1) cannot find MVP anywhere

2) costume black cowboy hat has no sprite (possibly the other costume doesn't either, but not enough coins to get it to test.) 

 

Ok so it's pretty cool. Main quest works fine and is easily doable in like 30ish mins. 

 

The costume sprite for the cowboy hat doesn't work. I didn't have enough coins to get the other costume as well, but eh:

Also, this made me LOL on the signs around the town and underground town:

Side note, I sensed all the monsters I could find. 

 

The basic bandits outside of town are all level 100ish and demi-human, the coyotes are brute and level 100ish as well. 

 

The elite bandits are level 145-150ish and also demihuman. 

 

The monsters in the underground town (other than the anopheles) are level 100 and only have 1k HP. 

 

Didn't find the MVP, not sure how to get to that yet tbh. 

 

The dailies give 1-3 coins each and are reset at 4am pacific time similar to 16.1's cooldowns. The main quest awards 200 coins. 

 

The coins are account bound so you can do the main quest on multiple chars and then stack them up together.

 

The enchantment reset has a VERY high chance to break armor apparently, and it seems you can only enchant the class specific garment, armor, and accessory only (didn't see any options to enchant the weapons.) 

 

How to get the gear: 

 

Weapons drop from enemies and at a high rate (I predict around 2-5%, if not higher).

 

Garments and accessories can be purchased for Z for a few mil from the NPC in the tools hop.

 

Armor is purchased via coins (24 rockridge coins) from another NPC in tool shop.

 

The neutral stuff (spur boots, flask) costs more -- like 150-300 coins. 

 

I got basically everything except the mechanic axe, not sure who drops that yet. Tested +14 shadow chaser set and... kinda disappointing as catapult and crimson bow did very similar damage to the vigi bow.

Known issue: The long range bonus from Golden Scarf and Monokage doesn't work on Kunai Splash

As you can see, using +0 Golden Scarf and +9 Golden Scarf there's no damage difference

Found a bad cell in the first floor of the mine (rockmi1), when you step over it, you fall through the map, but the cell itself is unclickable like it were a dead cell.

i got that too and tried to pinpoint but couldn't, so i assumed it was a pos-lag due to enemy

Although it is test server it must be worked for test.

phew, is that updatedgraded bow guardian card effects just a placeholder or it's an actual effects that will be carried over later to main servers ? :hmm:

 

I haven't seen sigma post that card before in kRO/jRO translation subforums (or I probably missed it?), If they really brought it to main server then RIP new powerful as card :heh:

 

@Edit : Looks like I misunderstood the wordings, it will increase long ranged critical damage by 20% instead of increasing both ranged and critical damage by 20%

That Upgraded Bow Guardian card is just a remnant from old PRO, along with Sealed Drake card and some upgraded cards.

The card's a red herring and should be ignored in either case.

 

Camp, Astra, Ozallia, or any other person in power --- may we please have rockridge coins available from the testing NPC? It will be easier to test the various gear, enchants, and items if those are freely available rather than having to do the dailies/main quest multiple times.

I think that's a good call, and the main quest and dailies seem fine -- I will rerun them on another char to be sure (and to gauge difficulty at a lower level) but since some of the items cost 100+ coins, it's good to have them to test. Especially since gear breaking on reset seems pretty high. 

 

As an aside, who was responsible for writing the main quest? I'd like to congratulate them, it has the style and flavor of an "outwit them" spaghetti western story.

We gave the concept of the area to HQ along with a general outline of our vision. They did the rest. The whole thing feels like someone got super inspired and it became a labor of love.

Thumbs up then. The text is pretty good, and the overall feel is right. The town looks great too, and I'm particularly fond of the big giant "symbols" each building has (like the underground tool shop's mechanical sign, the sherrif's badge, etc.). The only minor criticism I'd give is how easily both the "bandits" buy into the trick, but then the game has to progress somehow and at least the back and forthing is minimized this way. 

 

In celebration I'll be rewatching the Dollars trilogy, though I'll mostly be waiting eagerly for the final duel in A Few Dollars More.

Also, reran main quest today again and the other costume's sprite doesn't show either. When coins are put into NPC, I'll try the various gears/enchants.

Can anyone list which mob drops which weapons? So far I got Gold Leaf Shuriken from Shotgun Bandit and Monokage from Elite Bandit (Shotgun). Too lazy to hunt random ranged mobs. If we know who drops what, we can hunt them specifically

Issues: Elemental Origin is breakable?

Detail leading to issues:

My Elemental Origin broke when fought Turtle General. I thought book type weapon is unbreakable. Need confirmation about this.

Copied from irowiki about Books (weapon): "Books are used by PriestSage, and TaeKwon Master classes. Books usually have slower attack speeds than other weapons, but have medium ranged ATK. Books don't have many varieties, though they do come in elemental form. Books are not sold from NPCs, making them fairly rare and hard to find. All books are also naturally unbreakable except in upgrade attempts."
