As in title. Basically the question is: does the scarf provide more damage than the (hopefully in the next OCP) MDEF piercing magician's glove or that 100% pierce helmet? I've raised just enough zeny to buy scarf so if I spend it now it is unlikely for me to get enough zeny to be able to buy items from the next OCP

This is the fun. You NEVER know when or if they'll bring Magician's Glove. But I guess you can get more damage, PVM wise, from Mob Scarf + Pororoca Combo than Magican's Glove + SoD. SFB is a different story.

The question will be, if Magician's glove do come in next box. Would they be S class item or just normie ones?

If Magician's Glove comes they might as well implement the Tempst set, too.

Since the gloves are easily superior, working against everything while Tempest set needs weapon swaps.

Neither the gloves nor the shadow set really have anything that would come close to them. :/

Does anyone have the description for tempest set?

Magician's glove is good but not for all scenarios. At least not during WoE where not that many ppl stack mdef.

What I would love to see is that headgear? that increases Comet damage. We have a lot of elemental increase damage but nothing for Neutral magic damage increase =(

Isn't WoE dead? Stop beating that poor corpse around and let it rest in peace.

And if people there don't stack MDef then the Tempest sets wouldn't hurt it either (even if they did work in there). :v

Tempest Earring.

For the rest just click the sets listed.

According to Cadbury, Tempest/Penetration sets never worked on PVP. But since people were so adamant about they being implemented, kRO might troll them and bring this glove. I'll certainly laugh at their faces.

Where do I say that Tempest set works in WoE?

The bracket is just me saying even IF the Tempest set would work in there (which it doesn't, see next bracket) it wouldn't hurt anything because people don't stack mdef there anyways.

(And btw if you follow the link and mouseover the Demi Human Weapon you see the description saying disabled in WoE. :u)

And even if the Tempest set would work in WoE the Magician's Gloves are easily superior because you don't need to switch anything.

Edit: Not happy with my sentences. Hope i made things a bit clearer. :u

I guess magician's glove is way better since it works for everything (no need to make a different shadow weapon).

Exactely what I already said.

Yet people are against the Tempest Set but want the Magician's Glove. :v

Yeah Magician's Gloves are especially good, and we absolutely need that. Despite this, I would say its still absolutely worth getting Mob Scarf. It is on your lower headgear so there is little to no tradeoff to make(unless you use Love Piece to achieve uninterruptable casting). There is no guarantee when Magician's Gloves will come, it can be in OCP8 or it can be in OCP12+. I have faith that we will get it eventually, but waiting for its arrival isnt a wise idea in my opinion.

want =/= need :)

From warlock players point of view, we want it since it makes geared warlocks on par with the higher tiers of physical classes. From the game mechanics point of view, we need it since it is the only way to bypass the stupid MDEF scaling problem. Of course its the best if they just fix MDEF scaling to be like DEF scaling, but we all know Gravity aint going to spend money and time to fix it. Magician's Gloves may be a strong medicine for the last resort, but we have no other choice. When you have a cancer cell and you cant cure it, you may as well just kill it.

Instead of magician gloves and tempest set, i prefer more cards like big ben - neo punk, nightmare mimic - nightmare arclouze, for the remaining races. Less pay to win and more rewarding from in game content.

What is needed is more combo options like the NCT cards and 2h staves with mdef pierce like the jRO ones, not another cylinder like gear :)
