So I'm starting this game again and noticeably most maps don't exist yet. Anyone have any recommendations from 30 til 70? I figure from then on I could hunt what I used to hunt like Anolians, Stings, and eventually Raydrics.

Most maps either have the old spawn or doesn't exist yet so it's quite different both fortunately and unfortunately.

You can try wolves at 30-35ish, there's usually parties in that map. You can stay there till 45ish and then go TF2 till J50 or Geos.

Edit : Forgot to mention that you can stay in TF2 till 60ish and then go High Orcs till around 80+ i think.

As soon as you get Vulture's Eye maximized, I would recomend  to go to Greatest General at pay_fild10. You can stay there untill get job 50 and then go kill Seals at cmd_fild02 (you will need Ankle Snare lvl 5).

Which in my opinion, a terrible idea. This because at level 40 not only will you not do sufficient damage to it, you'll get 40% exp value from the Stings at that level. Even if you manage to run godly weapons to do good damage to it, the 60% exp reduction penalty is still there.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Took a bit but found the correct spawn area for wolves.

Actually, the renewal exp reduction mechanic was not implemented in Restart. So you can literally go, say geos(assuming you can do damage to them), at your level and kill them for 100% exp.

Stings experience is nerfed pretty hard, doesn't make sense to go there. Both my hunters did wolves till 35ish, geos till job change and TI surface till 80+. TI is a little heavy on the pots early on, but the exp is fantastic.

If that's true then that opens quite a few doors for me. Again, if it's true, thank you.

Yeah I've heard good things about TI as long as you have the gear and consumables for it.

I'm starting out completely new and broke, it'll be a while before I spoil myself as I want to play the game straight up newbie.

That said, I'd like to spend my newbie time more efficiently. Which is why I'm going to make a merchant before I put everything into the archer lol.

I'm not a particularly fast leveler, and I'm new to restart, so take this with a grain of salt:

  • Toy Factory 2 is pretty good for 40~60ish. Tons of bots, but easy to kill and the spawn is really good (thanks to the bots, unfortunately)
  • 60+ try GH prison. XP is fantastic, spawns are good, slow mobs are easy to kite. Bring ankle snare traps just to be safe.
  • I've heard High Orcs are great, but haven't personally tried it

Any leveling guide for pure trap hunter? Currently 50/11 with 40 int 60 dex and i havent gotten any skills yet because im not sure what trap to get first or what monster to hunt at this point. I have made so many hunters in the past but this is my first trapper build and i noticed my cirrent hunter experience wont help me with this. Should i go straight to claymore or blast mine or land mine? Fire, wind, or earth. Im still at geos but tired if that place.

I did geos until i got blast and ankle maxed ,then move on to alarms for practice and did really good , 20 levels later im still there

Fortunately i went this route. Comment was late so i went ahead and got blast mine and ankle snare is what im getting next. Though i immediately went to anolians, 4 traps to kill this early is a bit costly but it'll dwindle down eventually

High Orcs 3mEXP 1 hour.  Cheapest and uses the least amount of consumables. Around 20-30 WoE Blue Pots per 30 mins.

Anolian 4.8mEXP 1 hour.  Uses quite a bit of consumables.  50-60 WoE Blue Pots per 30 mins

Turtles Surface 5.6mEXP 1 hour.  Uses the same amount of consumables as Anolians.

Anubis 6.6mEXP an hour.  Uses a High amount of consumables. 250 straws or 100 WoE Blue Pots per 30 mins.

This is with a Hybrid Hunter. DS Spam, not with traps. Only Ankle Snare.

Culvert -> Wolves -> Greatest Generals -> Geographers ASAP to Archer jlvl50

Toy Factor 2 works but this map is over saturated with bots.

After that you have many options:

Before Anklesnare

  • Pyramid03 Mummy
  • Pyramid04 Mummy, Ghoul, Isis (260 flee for ISIS)
  • Geographers

After Anklesnare

  • Goat, Demon Pungus, Geographer
  • Clocks
  • Medusa
  • Merman
  • Anolian
  • Nifleheim Field 01
  • Pyramid 04
  • High Orc (not recommended for Hunter)

Overall at sub-85 levels, Medusa and Anolian are my recommendation. Easy to get to these maps from Comodo to deal with the poor weight limit. Medusa is more difficult but higher XP. Anolian is full of KSing bots.
