Magnus Exorcismus Builds

Outlines:

-Be prepared to pot during Global Cooldowns. 

-Make sure you mob first, cast SW (if you feel you can't take it) and ME. 
-You can go for Kyrie Eleison if you don't want to go for Safety Wall.
-Remember to calculate your Blue Gemstone usage. You have to use 1 for SW and one for ME. That will determine how much will you spend and how long will you last. 

Builds:
 

1. SW Exorcist Build: Standard Exorcist
God will keep you safe. You can exterminate dozens of monsters with a great exorcism (Magnus Exorcismus.) Your fierce dedication and fortitude will open the path to a better future. 

This is your typical Exorcist build. The remaining points can be put into Divine Protection, Magnificat or any other skill you deem worthy of your build. This one has SW for preventive measurements. You can go KE if you think landing SWs all the time is kind of painful or lacking. 

2. KE Exorcist : KE Exorcist
The prayers of God will protect you. God, have mercy upon us (Kyrie Eleison.) You can mitigate damage while you prepare yourself for a great exorcism (Magnus Exorcismus.)

Instead of going SW, you can go KE with this build. It doesn't consume a gem, so you save some money. Beware of the hits and monster levels. You must be able to cast properly before the shield goes off. Remember to use a clip. Remaining points can be put into Magnificat or Divine Protection. Angelus is extremely lackluster, so I don't recommend putting more points into it. 
 

3. Pure Exorcist: Pure Exorcist (fun build)
You have mastered the art of Exorcism! You can deal single target damage to undead/demon monsters and also perform the ultimate exorcism by amassing dozens of undead/demon monsters with Magnus Exorcismus.

This is more of a fun build. You can single target with TU and ME mobs with this build. It doesn't have SW, so you must have a lot of demon/undead resistance for this one. You can use this build on maps like Prison or St. Abbey. 

 

Stats:
INT 70~90 (I think 80 is a good place to stop, but some people put more than that.)
DEX 70~80 (70 is the sweet spot. I only saw a 1 sec difference between 70 and 80 DEX points when casting Magnus Exorcismus. Someone can test it out for official confirmation.)
VIT 60~80 (You can put less if you have demon/undead damage reduction armor.)
LUK 0~30 (Some people like putting points here, some don't. A 1:3 MATK ratio is barely noticeable. You will gain 1 MATK point per every 3 LUK points. This means if you have 21 points into LUK, you will gain 7 MATK points. You won't even notice your MATK difference when you get better gear, so you should put these points elsewhere.)

Can I ask, what does the optimised gear for an ME priest look like exactly?

Can you solo with a ME priest?

I swear by the "Acolyte" card set. It's really a priest set but is labeled as Acolyte. Most people like to use Bathory and other cards but I feel the benefits of the Priest set are WAY too good to pass up as an ME Priest. This limits you on your weapon choice, and you only get to swap out your garment/foot cards without breaking the set, but you get a whopping +10 VIT, a very nice -30% damage from Undead AND Demon (two cards in one, and the only types of enemies an ME Priest fights anyway), -10% cast time, -10% SP consumption and an excellent +5% exp bonus from Undead/Demon. With the set bonuses I am more than capable of surviving the shadow skills thrown at me without a Bathory card, but will still die if I am not careful.

Can you post your stats and equips please? I'm looking to make an ME priest too (was my first character back in the day) need an idea on what items to look for, stats, and skills

Note:Usually I Phen swap for faster cast time since I am a low-dex ME build, but I forgot my Zerom carded Acc on my Hunter. xP

Oh, I did. That why I was able to go to those other places. Took me a while to come back since I was a bit busy. I'm only missing a Divine Cross (I saw at least a major difference of 1k per wave)

On a small note, would you have any budget equipment recommendations for Priests that just acquired ME? Since some of us are on Restart, we do not have access to the Divine Cross so we have to make do with a Skull Cap + Evil Bone Wand for now...

My idea for bare minimum equipment and just some ME practice at GH Prison were:

+5 Arc Wand + Phen Accessory

I've also been collecting pieces of the Priest set, any opinion on using the priest set as a fresh ME Priest? (I do know I eventually will replace it with better gear like Bathory Carded armor, racial reduction, immune, depending on location)

I saw a lovely priest from Pink Martini with a +7 one. Lucky her~

You should start with supporting others until you are old enough to deal with St.Abbey/Prison. Go for +4 if you are poor and move to +7 when you have more resources. Try your luck farming EBWs and ED cards from Evil Druids or farm Skeleton Prisoners for Formal Jacket [1] if you feel adventurous. 

Also, get a Rosary and slot it with your card of choice. Get a Cranial Guard, Evil Silk Robe or any other gear like Masquerade or Poo Poo Hat. 

 

Is there any specific guide on to how exactly to build exorcist AB? Like what to do since level 1. I just played even though I have played RO for ages. Really love Priest to the heart even though I always played as another class as I thought Priests are very party-dependant. If there is a way for me to go solo it would be very great! Of course, if anyone willing to form a party I would be gladly accept lol.

Frankly, ME Builds are very niche. You will find yourself changing your build every now and then to achieve max level, but to ease your mind here's a summary:

Acolyte

1-15 Novice Grounds
15-30 Payon Cave

30-40 Payon Cave 2, Wolves

40-Jlvl 50- Porcellios (party),Geographers (party) or Toy Factory (party), Orc Dungeon
 

Priest
50-65 Amatsu Dungeon, Payon Cave 3, Porcellios (party),  Orc Dungeon, Glast Heim (St. Abbey/Churchyard)

65-80 High Orcs (Party), GH Prison, Amatsu Dungeon, GH (Abbey/Churchyard)
80-99 Nifflheim 1, Geffen 3, GH Castle 2 (party), Geffenia (party), Ayotaya Dungeon 2
