Blacksmith Question

Hey, question. I'm aware of the ranked system for blacksmiths, and that weapons from these ranked users yield bonus attack. But, A guildmate of mine discouraged me, saying that i shouldn't go the forger route, since I will not be able to sell any of my weapons. Simply because, people will just buy from these 10 blacksmiths. Is it true that unranked blacksmiths are unable to make zeny in this game?

People will still buy that is looking for cheaper stuff.   It takes work to get in the top 10 but you could get there yourself.

I just don't want to go the forger route, and craft items in vain. It would be as if i wasted all this time for nothing.

I read somewhere that the bonus attack from these ranked blacksmith's weapons is only +10 ATK. Does this attack make a big difference?

the top 10 forger bonus is a meme pretty much, you should be able to make money regardless if ranked or not
