I'm curious as to what kind of rebel build will be viable for PVM or PVP after the rebel awakening patch. I saw a lot of videos soloing strong mvps like randgris and ifrit but the equipments weren't shown and it's in korean.

 

so... I have a few questions 

 

what are the main skills for killing MVPs? is the binding trap, dragon tail, and slug shot still the most used skill for dealing with high hp monsters?

 

is round trip the most used skill for leveling? is there a new way of leveling introduced?

 

what kind of guns (weapon class) and what weapon (specific name) will be the best for an awakened rebel at 175 for pvm? and if possible, PVP?

 

is the job level exp table gonna change after the patch?

 

does fallen angel still requires a revolver equipped or nah? is this intended?

 

i can't test it on sakray because my sakray is still in 2012 patch and i'm stuck on mobile data. anyone can help? thanks!

Good questions! I don't claim the last word on any of them but I like theorizing and Rebel is one of my favorites, so here are my thoughts:

 

1. MVP skills - All the ones you listed are good high damage skills. Dragon Tail supposedly doesn't miss which makes it a big contender to me. Slug Shot can certainly one-shot some MVPs when it lands. Binding Trap is really strong while the MVP has lots of HP left, the higher their current HP, the better it is.

 

Other options -

 

Crit-lock with Heat Barrel should be viable, best if you can kill the MVP during the 1 minute duration. I suspect crit is better than auto-attacking with Dual Action/Quick Draw Shot procs because right now it looks like Quick Draw Shot is very hard to proc at high aspd. If that's a bug and they fix it, then I'd say non-crit auto-attacking would be viable too for non-AGI UP MVPs.

 

Desperado or Fire Dance with cast delay reduction gear has great DPS potential if you're able to go toe-to-toe with the MVP.

 

2. Leveling options: Round Trip shouldn't change much from how it's used now, its viability won't change much. Other styles will be more viable, will have to see if any of these are more effective than Round Trip:

 

Shatter Storm has better damage mod than Round Trip, but has fixed/variable cast, longer cooldown, and smaller (7x7) AoE when maxed. Should be able to get higher base atk with a shotgun than a gatling so if you can one-shot with Shatter Storm and not with Round Trip I think it could be better?

 

Desperado/Fire Dance are both able to take advantage of delay reduction gear. Leveling with these with cast delay reduction gear would be similar to GX with Rolling Cutter. Very mobile leveling like this with Fallen Angel too (so far it looks like Fallen Angel only works with revolvers). Fire Dance starts with .5 second delay so with HWHB, NWS, FLPx2 (with EA 1/2 set bonuses) you can get it down close to 1/4 second delay. Desperado is harder to get up to RC speed, strings or Kiel needed I think. But it does double damage for 2 seconds after casting Fallen Angel, so still a good opener.

 

I think Howling Mine would be kind of fun to level with by getting mobs to chase you and dropping a new mine on each mob you find, then when you've reached the three mine limit, get them to group up and blow them all away! But I don't know that it would actually be as effective as other methods.

 

Fire Rain has a 5 second cooldown but a very nice damage mod, might be able to one-shot earlier than the choices above if you are good at positioning mobs.

 

3. Best guns: It sounds like we aren't getting the new guns with the Awakening so it's just the stuff we already have access to. Pistols have the best variety of options with Crimson Revolver [2], Altair & Ares [1], and Vicious Mind Revolver [1] all looking pretty good. Other gun types only have vending machine options as far as I'm aware.

 

4. Job exp table changes: Don't know, get job 50 now!

 

5. Gun types that work with Fallen Angel: See above (2.). In Sakray, Fallen Angel is only working with revolvers.

Orthogon can you check if Vanishing Buster using Cast Delay or Cooldown ,

 

if its cast delay, then this gonna be like this, 24/7 Dispelling bio5 mobs 

 

they cant power up, cant inc agi lol

also looks like fallen angel is revolver exclusive ,see  0:43 she changed to revolver.

 

hawkeye effect, 2:06  :p_love:

Vanishing Buster and Shattering Storm both appear to have 0 cast delay and 2 second cooldown (which is what is described in the notes Campitor provided).

 

So what's a fun Rebel build? Rice wanted me to make one years back but it seemed eh so never did, however it looks interesting now so :U

Here is an all-rounder stat build that I'm planning to start with:

 

STR 60 (recommend some str and gym passes for carrying missiles/slug shots, this much might be overkill)

AGI 90

VIT 90

INT 56 (drop for other stats if preferred)

DEX 120

LUK 100

 

Stats chosen to make good use of temporal dex boots, fairy leaf powder, mob scarf, HBP, Luminous Blue Stone depending on what you're doing.

 

For skill build, you have enough points to cover many paths, but I'm not sure how the skill prerequisites change from current (no change to prerequisites on Sakray so far). If Himeyasha's skill calc is accurate, Fallen Angel has a ton of prerequisites, uses 43 skill points to get it. Platinum Altar is a must have, makes 48. For the rest of the points, can either flesh out gatling/shotgun skills or branch into grenade launcher or rifle. Can get Quick Draw Shot maybe?

If Fallen Angel doesn't require Eternal Chain 10 I would drop that in a heartbeat and probably go for Anti-Material Blast and top off some of the not-maxed skills.

 

Also worth noting that while Fallen Angel is fun and cool-looking, it's probably not a must-have if you want to focus on non-pistols.

 

Edit: Tweaked the Gunslinger skills in the sample skill build a bit.

umm with rebel awakening, would someone volunteer to write a new guide for how to play Rebel/Gunslinger? My Gunslinger is still lv.10 so I am quite new to this, wont touch this job soon but will definitely get back to it in a few months.

Basically...

 

1 ~ 10 Porings

10~16 Mandragoras

16~22 Poison Spore

Auto attack until you get Desperado, then Desperado until you get 101 (technically alllll the way til 106).

 

NPC pistols are fine. For low TI I farmed holdens until I got a Crimson Revolver, I +5'ed it, tossed a Skel Worker Card and was able to solo mid TI damage wise, though I died a few times (my poor skelly).

Some little fun facts, each coin adds 3 Mastery Attack.

 

And the Gatling Fever skill adds 120 Mastery Attack.

can you look on Magical Bullet ? it adds extra attack based on MATK you have, doesnt work on skills only auto attack.

hmm +14 Death Fire AK,  FDA amdarais ( should be same with abusive dex6 enchant hitting demon,demi-human? ), 2x GP g.scaraba
+12 temporal str boots Hw Ea4 , Mobscarf set, 120 str 120 dex 40 luk, rest is vit and int
 
tako, oda elixir, +20 foods, odin power lv 2, imposito manus, expiatio, and lv 1 provoke
 
the gears are pretty same with this, the weapon is not tho, if Sura can use shotgun ill stop playing RO  :heh:

Element is based on Ammo Element or Converter based element so you would simply need to make sure your attacking element is relevant.

 

I have been playing with the numbers for some time but I can't generate the numbers. I wish I had a screen shot of your gears and buffs from sakray to match up :X Been trying to best optimize my Rebel later for CLAB and ET.

i mean like this, on that calculator Ifrit stated as Fire 1 while he is Fire 4

 

do i need to input 200% on the property box or ??

 

your calc telling me  i need to get thana card as soon as possible  :heh:

Lemme check something.


Please post your link, I have ifrit selected and he shows as Level 4 Fire, I suspect that you might have accidentally force changed his element to Level 1 Fire.

 

For example, this shows me using Slug Shot on Ifrit attacking with a Water Converter or Water Bullet.
