Hello everyone.

I've just reached level 40 and was promoted to Pathfinder, but now I'm unsure how I should proceed to skill my character. I'm PvE oriented and my current skillbuild looks like this: https://irowiki.org/...000000000000000

I thought my build at level 70 could look like this: https://irowiki.org/...000000151550003

I went with a level 70 build because I want to focus on important PvE skills first, while holding on to some SP in case I want to get some PvP skills too at some point.

Now I have some questions:

#1: Is Anti-Air Shot at 3/5 good enough?

#2: Does Advanced Bow mastery buff basic attack or final attack aka is it worth putting putting points into it?

#3: I'm assuming putting more than one point into Pierce is useless, since I don't have any way to buff my x-attacks like Monk or Summoner, isn't it?

#4: Is it worth putting Aiming higher than 2/5 to increase the up-time on the buff?

#5: How good is Freezing Trap for PvE? It looks like it could be useful in F7 Maps. If I should skill it, how many points should I put into it?

#6: Is Song of the Winds at 5/5 actually needed? It looks like a good skill but I'm not sure.

#7: How should I best distribute my elemental points for PvE?

And help would be appreciated.

Edit: WTF why was my post blank when I first posted it?

Edit 2: Sorry I accidently posted it a second time(this one was blank again), when I wanted to edit it.

I'm mostly pvp sentinel, but here's my advice anyway.

1. 3/5 AAS is generally good enough. Usually, x-spam with piercing is much faster at clearing mobs anyway.

2. It gives 3.5k atk with my pos weapon + 15* solar, so I'm guessing it'll give around ~2k atk with zau. Put at least 1 point, but I think all 5 is worth.

3. Piercing is your go-to when it comes to clearing mobs. imo, maxing it is a must in pve.

4. Depends. I don't have this skill up at all. It's easy to hit 40% cap without it. If you can't hit the cap, max it, otherwise, don't skill it at all. (Remember that Archer's quickness gives 3% final cr)

5. Could help with dps slightly sometimes (after shootdown, drop all traps). Put points if you have left over, i guess. If you skill it, I'd say max it so it becomes more reliable.

6. The first point is good value; the other 4 points is not. I'd put 1 point and max it near the end.

7. Doesn't really matter in pve, since it only boost dmg up slightly. Though, I think elga is weak against nature.

Some comments about the build:

- I think awakening charge at lvl 1 is good enough for.  Usually, I only use awakening skills to get bosses to groggy status and the mobs along the way are enough to fill up the bar.

- Bird watching is ok when until you get some gear. Once you get some better gear, the stats it gives are pretty insignificant.

- Should probably put a point in archer's quickness. It gives 10% ms and 3% final cr. One of the best skills for a sentinel.

Addup:
Netbind lvl5 works more efficient in F7 than freezing trap, you can still max your freezing trap too since you still have more SP to spare. The only skill build difference is that for PVP you max wire action and silence trap, while blitz lvl3 and 0 falcon mastery.
Also all elemental resistance is same on Elga. Still recommend fire for Forest Glade F1 farm, or nature if you farm Dragon Valley.

Thank you for your answers. I totally missed that Archer's Quickness provides 3% final cr. Good to know about Bird Watching.

Thank you for your input. May I ask what the reason for only putting blitz at 3/5 in PvP is?

I took both of your advices and tweaked the build a little. It now looks like this: https://irowiki.org/...115000151150001

If I decide to start PvP later on, I'll have enough SP with this build to also max Silence Trap and Wire Action and would still have 110 SP left over if I keep Song of the Winds only at 1/5.

Are there any improvement suggestions?

Kinda forgot how the skill works at different levels, I just happens to have it lvl3, you only want it for PVP to able to knock up enemy to air and able to hit knocked down enemy, I think lvl1 blitz already work that way, same goes with Falcon Frenzy which pretty sure needed to be lvl3 to knock up and and hit knocked enemy.

So you only level it up enough so it hits standing and lying enemies and knock them up high enough and ignore skill ups that only provide additional damage?

Yep, pvp basically rely on elemental damage, you only need these skills to chase and knockups in pvp, u can learn moonwalk shot too if you have extra SPs, they have pretty low cooldown, good for spam x since Sentinels move foward when they shoot, u can combine it with multishot too
