there was another post, regarding drop rate modifier
afaik from reading that post.
cards drop rate are unaffected by any modifier below 100%


So I've been living a lie all this time? WP owe me a ton of HE Gums then....

Question regarding Imperial Glove:

 

It says it gives 2% 'short ranged attack' for every level of Cannon Spear and Overbrand known.

 

Is that the same as general atk% or is it general atk% that applies only when using melee attacks (ones that do not benefit from EA/Archer Skelly)? 

 

If the former, that's basically 25% atk which is huge. If the latter, then... well still 25% attack but only for some skills. 

 

EDIT: I realize no imperial feather to test it out, but I'm curious if that call exists.

It's most LIKELY Atk % but ONLY for short-ranged attacks, like how Atk % for Bosses apply etc.

Yeah that makes way more sense. 

 

And both jRO and kRO translation of the item on divine pride list it as long-ranged.

Fixed.

 

While we are at it, I am going to implement one thing and ask another.

 

If an effect has no effect whatsoever on iROs version of a skill, shall I just not include it in the description?

 

As for jRO, I am going to start the assumption that if it says anything about skill delay with a specific skill, it means cooldown and for any global skill delay, it means actual skill delay like a Kiel card.

id just put the effect in red, with a note after it (only takes effect in the original jRO server) or something like that. Because you know, ppl like to complain about "incomplete" effects, even when the effect wouldnt work at all

^ Yeah, maybe at the very bottom something that says "unimplemented jRO only effects" and then have it in red.

Well, thoroughness comes at the cost of brevity. 

 

I don't mind either way, but I can imagine a few "HOW COME MY ACID BOMB STILL HAS CAST TIME WITH SAPPHIRE WRIST!???" comments to come. 

 

Not having the unimplemented jRO only effect (like OB CD or VCT for AB) show up doesn't bother me. Just saying if you were planning to nip the above style comments in the bud.

I think having them there is bad because it makes new players think it is required for the skill to function properly. I think not having it brings the argument of "why are we missing this effect".

 

I dunno, I will discuss this with Campitor, get is opinion as well.

We could also just keep a separate registry of "things that don't work on this server -- > reason why" and have it sticky'd so people can reference it when they do see other servers' descriptions of items.

I'd rather have effects that cannot work with iRO mechanics be left out.

Would be more confusing in the long run than to leave these effects out imo.

 

Or if they are mentioned at least don't have them in red. Red should be saved for important things - like Mage Glove/BSG only being equipable in the right acc slot when normally accessories can take either slot.

Oh LOL you're right, it does say accessory in description. I already knew about that it was a lower hg so I totally didn't notice since its release. 

 

idk +1 aspd in lower HG is pretty nice on its own though.

Inefficient/impossible for RG imo. 120 Str and 12 Dex and you will either hit miss everything or die to anything hahaha
