Seems to be the theme of a lot of game companies this year. "We aren't really doing anything new, just fixing our broken game." Players eat it up, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe for others games, but for this one is the same thing every year, but never even i see anything fixed lol.

(though, perhaps fittingly, alcoholism does give something else to spend one's money on.)

Gungho designed them, kRO then proceeds to poorly implement them without testing or anything. They come here, where the biggest person qualified to properly check them over doesn't have enough time to do it. Every single time a new staffer is hired or appointed to RO1, a new server comes along, so you can't even hope for training if everyone is busy managing a server. Managing scripts is a full time thing, and they don't have it handled.

 

I doubt about that. Since BRO also import JRO items too. But most of them are nerfed if it seem too OP. like magician's glove and garden of eden. etc.

AFAIK there are 'regional managers' who are representative of Gravity for each region. I guess they are responsible for these.

Complaining about what? It has not come in yet. All existing OCP items that I use seem to work well  :heh:

AFAIK there are 'regional managers' who are representative of Gravity for each region. I guess they are responsible for these.

 

What I mean is, OCP was MADE by jRO, it's theirs. Gravity distrubutes them to other servers and they handle how it works. iRO just took the we get it as is policy.

Abyss Dress also has been nerfed by increase refine effect requirement by 2. But adding slot is worse. :heh:

refinement required can hardly be called a nerf, considering jRO upgrades only go up to 10, and getting those 8~9 is already very difficult. aside that, just some stuff got minor changes, while just garden of eden was completely changed

So maybe we should be asking Gungho instead of Gravity. I also believe that it's easier to communicate with them than the latter. :heh:

The funniest thing here is even recent rebel awakening bugs, they are still have not fixed yet..

I guess Campitor team gonna need 720 days this year to fix those pending those bugged items/ skills + description...

 

Seriously, I doubt Campitor team is able to track down those bugged issues one by one, since they don't even fix them; while keep letting one after one bugged issues keep stacking (to hill).

The problem with bugs is not tracking them, but the fact that most of the time they need to ask kRO for the fix.  And you know kRO's track record on sending fixes.

I also hope that IRO will correct Ghost Palace weapon's name from 'Thanatos' to 'Tanos' someday. :^)
Thanatos has nothing revolving Sakray storyline. So why has his name on such weapons. lol

iRO wants to localize not translate, though. Otherwise we should change skill and job class names to their original translations.

Something is harder than we think. Even in KRO. Some items and monsters name doesn't match with Aegis name (obvious example : Bellum), or even in-card-illust name. And when being localized. It went worse and ended up as a pile of poops. (example : 100th ET boss has a correct name, written in Korean, as Entweihen Knochen (German for 'desecrated bones'). But Aegis name and card has been written as Crothen. So other servers just copied and pasted. Finish!.)

You're talking about transliteration, which is different from translation. Both the developers and publishers are guilty of transliterating things when they should be translating, but that requires collaboration and cooperation, which doesn't seem to be a thing.

Hmm so.

Let's take the Thanatos weapons for instance.

Transliterating is having them known as Tanos weapons.
Translating is having them known as Tartanos weapons.
Localizing is having them known as Thanatos weapons.

For further clarification, let's use the Magic Strings skill.

Transliterating is having it known as Bragi Poem.
Translating is having it known as Poem of Bragi.
Localizing is having it known as Magic Strings.

The issue with iRO is that they bounce between all three, making it difficult to have consistency with anything.
