Hello all,

I have recently started playing.  Progressing to each field I go ahead and complete all the quests, never repeating ones which are repeatable.  So far I'm level 43 at Breezy Hills and the entire time I have been way higher level than the mob to fight.  This seems highly imbalanced, but also that I would gain more xp fighting at my proper level than trying to get quest experience.

What do you think? Should I do these quests? Are there any quests which I definitely should do?

Thanks very much.

Sincerely,

There's really only a handful of quests you should do to level, the rest are story fluff etc.

1: The Starting quest from Arua's Fairy in Adventure Plains. This just gives you some boosters and a Choropy Mount for free [limited time]

2:  Doonga + Krawfy Kill Quest [40+ and 50+ I believe] You get it from ... Bith? There's an NPC with a question mark on the docks, can't miss him.

3: Lunaris Bears Kill Quest from Coffington in Mana Snowfield [Think it's mana snowfields, someone will correct me if it's wrong, don't worry] Go there as soon as you get 70+ and can travel to Luna. Lotta party's there.

Finally, if you find yourself stuck solo after getting to Orlo, there's another explorer/coffington quest in Fossil Sanctuary which offers 4 kill quests. They come in handy if you're on your own. But by the time you get to 210+ you can just level in Dungeons.

There's a handful of useful quests, but hardly any are designed to level effectively with. The quest system is in need of some TLC but since Qilin our old quest writer left, no one has shown any love for the questers in ROSE.

Also keep in mind the winter share athon event is still active and exp is 10x higher than it is normally which is why you are probably out leveling the monsters needed for the quests. Quest exp should still increase with the event but maybe not for all of those old ones.

Thanks to you both for answering.

I had no idea there was an event in place, so the level imbalance makes sense.

And I will focus as described, Feuer.

Many thanks,

You definitely want to do that quest that starts with the fairy in Adv Plains because it not only rewards you with a 2 week Choropy mount, but you will also get a gift box that can be opened at level 50 which contains a free 30 day Chicken mount.  Those erratic chickens might be annoying but they sure beat walking everywhere  If you never did that quest or didn't finish it, you can go back at any time to do that.

Other than the ones Feuer mentioned, I wanted to add the valor quests in Xita are good for both experience and getting a little valor. Be sure to talk to all of the NPC's that give those quests because many will need the same monsters so you can fill several quests at the same time.  Other than that, Eldeon planet is kind of lacking in quests in general, but once you can travel to Orlo, there are lots of quests in Muris that will reward with exp, valor and some unusual items.
