Honestly I could not be more disappointed with WarpPortal at this point.

You had created an Art Contest and had people work hard for these Super Cute Dog costumes and then pretty much show them a gigantic middle finger and ruin any worth that costume had by releasing a quest for it the next day.

You truly don't care about any of your playerbase, do you?

What disappointed me more was the fact that people with newer accounts weren't even given a chance at winning. As guests they could see the thread but as soon as they created their accounts and put in a lot of effort for their submission they couldn't even post it anymore because of the forum restrictions.
Should have mentioned that in the description of the event.

It was also sad that it had only been posted in the ro1 part of the forum. I only found out about it by chance and I know a lot of Odin players that don't visit the ro1 forum and didn't know about it at all

I wonder if there will ever be a chance for all Odin players to obtain these headgears as only 2 of the winners were from Odin.

I just feel really upset and kinda betrayed by WP. Just throw away all of our efforts why don't you. It was bad enough to make the contest hard to find and somewhat exclusive but then they just completely gut any and all winnings and show us the middle finger.

It'd be one thing if it was a couple months, I'm pretty sure we'd all be fine with even just one month of exclusivity. To be like "Wow, we did an art contest and got a cool rare headgear for a little bit."

 

But to be given the headgear hours before patch notes come out? It's really disappointing and really just ruins any effort put into getting that headgear.

 

I can't imagine that people aren't taking it personal. It feels like "Oh, your submission was garbage anyway so your participation award is to get a hat a day before everyone else". At least with the Winter Art Contest you got something of substance and got to keep it just for participating. With this it feels meaningless.

Well as for myself: I actually hoped to win the dog officer and never really cared about the super cute dog costume.

So any chance for more Odin players to get the hat? Since the participation price get available to all players the next day, will we get the dog officer in the next costume box?

The headgears won as participation are handed in early before the actual release, also they come with the user's name of character. So they are still special in their own way.

In short, being super exclusive is slowly being phased out. Possibly we will see different types of prizes in future. As soon as new events are announced we will learn better.

Ragnarok is a very old game with an wide selection of adorable hats. Please understand that headgears we receive are earmarked by the studio for sales or ingame events. The studio does not usually provide prizes for community events - therefore, we'd like to keep using whatever we receive for future events. But to do so, we cannot make certain hats absolutely event-exclusive, as this locks out future players from ever having the chance to obtain it. Event hats are still special since you can have them named after your character this way. I wish we had a big selection of new hats we can only use for events, but sadly, this isn't the case!
 
That said, we will always try to make sure that winner prizes for events are appropriately valuable and cool - whether they're headgears or other cool benefits.

Thank you for your extremely PC reply as well as helping none of our concerns and negative feelings for pretty much being told our participation didn't matter. It definitely hasn't hurt anyone's perception or feelings at all.

U know I usually give u props on stuff cinnamon, even when u mod my posts, but this time the point of their frustration went right over y'all heads. The event says they will get it early, which yes they realize means the public will have them, but it's ONE DAY LATER, like they can't even enjoy the fruita of their efforts for a few days even to say look I worked hard on something and got rewarded in a way, without having everyone running around looking like airbud too

See...this is the important stuff that needs to be handled

So the "exclusive" hat that the contest participants received isn't even functioning, meaning no heal bonus from meat.  I wasn't going to be mad over the short-lived "exclusive" access we got, but this is frustrating.

Yeah. At least 1 week early so winners can get a profit over the hat. Before quest reach game. Like every new hat worth 1b first day they could got the first trades just because the effort of the event. Anyway im dissapoinned about the event because wasnt announced on odin forums, I noticed about it today when someone told me that hats comes from that event,

Guys, i understand what kind of problem you have to solve while defining the second WoE time with such demographic on server.

Someone have to get injured with this decision. Now it is the smallest part - Europe and West Russia. I accept it.

 

Just one question, why you don't think about the same time as WoE1 at Sunday?

Valhalla was the only one guild who had played classic, and now they'd quitted. So, the time slot for WoE1 is probably the only slot, everyone could play withouth any inconvenience.

 

Stats of online - is very good reason, but this is obvious, at real. That is friday evening for one part and saturday morning for the others. But who said that most online peak and best WoE time are equal? I don't know, how guys from US and South America feels, but i guess, if WoE2 will begin the same time as WoE1 in Sunday - it will be the best decision.

Lmao. Taking the most online peak to determine the WoE 2 time, when ur unable to ban so many bots is a joke. I guess 80% of the online peak are actually bots.

Sucks for europe, unlucky. I know at least 3 guilds who aren't gonna play at that time. No idea why u don't make WoE 2 on Fridays, same time as WoE 1, it's the least damage to anyone.

Will the rewards be changed by any chance? As soon as u got the headgear/costume there's only 1 1/2 things worth trading for.
