History,

 

The dungeon as implemented matches what we were given for the monsters. Post your feedback over this weekend and on monday we will discuss and review with the studio. As well as review the rates given for Guild Dungeon, Porcellios, Bio Labs, and Juperos monsters.

We need more leveling spot other than Juperos. And Abyss Lake is not cutting it. Exp too low for high level mobs. Lets enjoy this map and get other grinding spot going. Pls fix it and make it better exp or even close to Juno GD

Dragon Breath [1] should be in the droptable for Mutant Dragonoid even though trans is out. What about other trans drops from monsters and treasures as well (survivor's mant etc).

I'll also second what Xellie mentioned where the monster levels are wrong. There should be no monsters lvl 100+. Not only can you be stunned when you're at 99 with 100 vit, it makes the monsters WAY harder to hit and/or dodge. HP and EXP need to be looked at also for Abyss Lake. If it's not better than Juperos then no one will go there and it's a useless leveling area.

People are fine with the current Porcellios, Juperos, and Bio3. Juno GD, Rachel GD and Abyss Lake look like they all need possible adjusting though. Either to bring Abyss Lake and Rachel GD in line with Juno GD which is 120+mil/hr or to nerf Juno GD to bring it inline across the board.

 

I'd much prefer to have new updates bring better places to level, not worse with nerfing the current leveling places we do have. Is it not possible to manually code it in-house for this? Every time we get a new update like Abyss Lake or Bio3 before another RE:Start server the monster data is messed up and we get claims of "everything is correct". Only to have that statement backtracked later.

I actually didn't think about how monster levels affect stun immunity and stuff. Previously I would've shrugged it off but I'd say it's something that should be fixed (is changing monster levels any more complicated than other stats? genuinely curious about it).

 

As far as I can tell, most of the new Hugel monsters give similar exp to Classic. However, Acidus is the glaring issue here since both forms give waaaaay less exp than they honestly should for being otherwise such strong monsters. Even within just the scope of Abyss Lake, there's like no reason you wouldn't just choose to level up against Ferus every time because they are much easier to kill for practically the same exp as Acidus. And of course there's also the implications regarding this server's utter lack of variety in leveling spots. When Juperos was first released, I was willing to accept the bugged exp just because we honestly needed something better than what we had at the time to get our characters to 99 for trans. But with trans now here and some new areas with stronger monsters lined up for release soon, what kind of message does it send if these new areas that are billed by the staff as being consistent with other Revo Classic servers end up being so much blatantly worse for leveling than Porcellios and Juperos, which I'm assuming aren't consistent with other Revo Classic servers (correct me if I'm wrong here, of course)? This is admittedly broader than just what Camp is asking feedback for in the OP, but I still think it's worth keeping in mind in terms of how future updates will end up fitting into the grand scheme of things. I don't wanna see the Dimensional Gorge monsters give less job exp than Venatus, for instance.  :heh:

 

Having said all that, I'd say it's time Porcellios and Juperos were nerfed, at the very least for consistency's sake like I described above and, more generally, to help increase the variety in this server's leveling spots again. Obviously if this were to happen then the exp from both Acidus forms absolutely must be increased as well to make Abyss Lake viable. I haven't tried out Bio3 or any GDs yet so I can't really speak about them.

 

EDIT: Just for clarification, when I talk about Acidus not giving enough exp I am indeed referring to the values seen here (Acidus Blue = 14,392 base exp) and here (Acidus Gold = 28,043 base exp). The 6k base exp that both give in this update is just too much of a far cry from 14k and 28k, and any changes to their exp would have to be within the realm of these 14k and 28k values to make Abyss Lake viable as I described.

Abyss Lake should follow Revo Classic, which is what RE:START is about.renewal.playragnarok.com shows that Gold Acidus gives 28k base exp and a Venatu gives 4k. RENEWAL Acidus is what we are getting with this update, they give worse exp then Venatu while doing 10x the damage and 6x the hp.

Always thought it was classic exp and spawn rates, with renewal mechanics/stats. This update is just renewal everything all around, the HP, the exp... it just doesn’t match the server.

Why does stuff like Stone Buckler not drop in Abyss Lake?

Instead there are 3rd class items in there, which no one can even use. So why remove an item from the table that is useful and  put in a currently long time useless item?

At this point, looking at the random exp for monsters, random loot/drop tables, random features, random drops out of ovb/obb, duping and not fixing/improving important stuff, i'm pretty sure they are just trolling on purpose.

Or maybe the guys in korea are just sitting there and laughing themselves their asses off while sending random patches lul

Why implement monsters over level 100 just because the file you got is what the studio gave you?

If they leave the other maps (porc and jup and bios alone) all they need to do is fix abyss lake. Juno GD is a reward(but right now a rediculous reward). They need to bring abyss lake up to around 70-85m/hr and then all will fall into place. U get a good dungeon to exp in if u get castles. And the non castle ppl also can have great exp in abyss.

Otherwise if they wish to nerf jup and stuff, they would seriously need to nerf juno GD at the same time.

There is no point in doing more work when y'all can barely handle what's on ur plate now. Fix one set of maps instead of tackling more than one. While I would normally agree that there needs to be balancing across the board, I honestly just don't trust the staff to make it right if they have to tackle more than 1set of map. Fix abyss. 1 set of maps. Shouldn't take long to fix the damage and exp tables of the ONE set of maps. And then with the ONE set of maps being worked on, at least we know if it needs to be worked again, u didn't screw up every other map across the board at the same time.

Sorry but more than 200m per hour is getting 99\70 in one day. Gd juno do 3 or 4 times more exp than juperos who is already -_-ing broken. I understand people with castle at juperos want abuse the incompetence from the staff work but for thw other entire server is unfair. Aldo is unfair there r just 1 place to lvl up. We know how many people play just going juperos because everyone is there. Can we get a test server now, please? Time and time again, these kind of mistakes could've been avoided if only you have feedback before implementation. We all know there will be more stuff coming and unless anything changes, these mistakes will happen again.

You are totally right, but this update was announced months ago and this matter was discussed several times here in forum prior to the update and still they didn't listened (read) it's not our fault that one day after the update they realize they they screwed the exp balance. I wouldn't really mind is they nerf or balance the juperos and porcellios that would force ppl to go to different maps and also would impact the server economy in a positive way.

Again that's all fine and good in theory, but, the fact that they alrdy released trans with the exp the way it is. U will have ALOT of angry casuals who are now at a severe disadvantage because the "whales" have a bunch of 99/70 while everyone else struggles to get to that point because the maps were nerfed.

I asked for a sakray before releasing trans so we could give feedback and handle things before it got to this point. But here we are. Now they might as well boost abyss to a viable option. Leave jup and porc alone, and maybe nerf Juno GD. But if they buff abyss to, maybe not be as good as Juno, but be close so Juno GD is still a reward, it will create a more even playing field for everyone.

And for the record, I don't have access to Juno GD but I still understand the concept of rewarding those who do manage to get access.

Another thing they could do is make valf GD better by tweaking the exp and mobs there so it could also be a viable leveling spot, similar to the difficulty and exp of Juno GD

Well I think this all stems from them botching abyss lake so people got pissed that everyone is crammed in jup whilst others can do Juno GD. If they released abyss lake to be a good leveling spot, there wouldn't have been much outcry lol

can you fix this while we are all leveling our first chars? this is super disappointing but i guess i'm not surprised.

LMAO this isn’t revo classic Abyss. That item only drops on renewal. Good job, “revo classic” server with a touch of enjoy random renewal maps with -_-ty exp.

We actually made a bet on discord to see what was coming wrong after the update.

 

 

And then wonder why we complain and why they constantly lose player base. Hell they might as well continue to allow the bots, as they are a gaurnteed player base that won't care how screwed up and wrong WP gets it!
