Unfortunately the studio has informed us that they can no longer support the Windows XP operating system for Ragnarok Online RE:START. Due to this we urge users to upgrade to later versions of windows not just to play Ragnarok Online RE:START but also since the operating system is no longer supported by Microsoft. However, since we know that some users are still running the game on Windows XP they will give us a test build for Sakray to resolve the current Windows XP issue being experienced by users. When we receive it we will ask XP users to test this update to see if it resolves the issue as we do not have a Windows XP machines with which to test.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ragnarok Online RE:START Team

The XP issue fix is currently on Sakray. Please test and let us know if it resolves XP related issues. Please be aware that we will need to request a version of the fix that does not include 16.2.

If your IT-Security Team is fine with it, as a reminder there is VirtualBox from Oracle that is under the GPL license, it comes natural with different Operating Systems that are free to use for development testing including Windows XP, that might help you out for testing, however advising anyone who still runs XP to change thier operating system is a good advice that everyone should take to heart.

WinXP has been out of support for a while.  It's nice to see the studio address whatever the issue is and I understand money can be an issue, but if you're still running WinXP nowadays, it's time to seriously consider budgeting for a new pc (any pc currently running WinXP probably doesn't have the specs to run Win7 or Win10).
