As a long time active player, i have put together some questions with a few other players regarding these upcoming changes. I hope our GM / CM will show us courtesy and respect by answering these.

Why are you unable to comply with EU GDPR?

Why is it more beneficial to block an entire continent, rather than update data protection? Wouldn't it be more beneficial in the long term to update data protection?

Can you list countries effected by this? As some countries in europe are not part of the european union but may still comply with this law.

There are other countries, like the Ukraine blocked for many years. These players can still log into game without VPN but are blocked on warpportal website and support site. Is this different? if yes, why?

Wasn't Brazil blocked from the beginning? And yet we have many players from BR.

What % of players do you expect to lose from this?

Will EU be blocked by IP only?

Will you delete EU game accounts? If yes, can we gift them to non EU players via email change to save them from deletion?

If EU players are found using VPN, this will lead to the account being banned?

Should we lose hope now? Or you will try to find a way around this?

My personal opinion is that you came to this conclusion as EU players are a small % of warpportal gamer's, in Requiem specifically, most of our gamer's are RU, Indo or Brazilian. In saying that, i believe that your biggest donator's are from the EU and maybe you should check this Data and reconsider.

Would be a surprise if they could answer to the questions but looking at how they wrote the information on the site, it was very dissapointing, personally I find this an insult speccially for those players of EU countries who had put $ in this game for years.

Population became to small already, and you just need check it at night,in my time atleast, (I am from Spain/Europe).
Sometimes I find All so quiet in alban, grind spots, arenas empthy... etc.

Just it get a slighty better at morning when the RUS of DarkCru/Trium/Incep call for mass PK so you can see atleast like 20-30 players together trying to do something in the game as a group.
Which is very rare to see looking at this game state.

Just PK kinda seems the only thing active, and PVE is totally Dead, no parties no cooperation as before, and all become solo farmeable.

And they wanna lose more players, they ruining the game even more and it will probably die. But well they will pay more the consequences coz they will lose $ from all us EU ppl.

They really need to think good the consequences in a long time what this will cause to their company, and just in case they regret maybe many EU wont come back when this happens.

I think it's safe to assume all of our threads will be deleted as soon as CM's catch up with us later on today. It's not a secret, there is no freedom of speech around here anymore. They're obvious looking at smaller community which doesn't involve the EU. The people willing to stay after this will no doubt have their data sold to the highest bidder. I do not want to be one of them. Do you ?

I think it should not be deleted, there is nothing in my questions which would give reason for it.

You do realise they are data sharing for years? It has only been highlighted now because of this change to EU law.

I think they have thought about it and nothing will change their mind. i do agree with you its an insult for everyone here, no official statement why are they doing it.

"We are banning Europe. Bye"

Pretty much. What do you expect from a company that does exactly the opposite of what the playerbase wanted all these years ? I just want a refund of all the money i spent in this game and thats it. They can delete my accounts after that.

Been playing from time to time since Bloodymare and made a lot of friends, most of them from EU. Some of these die hard Requiem fans are still around today , and now:

"Dear european player, you are no longer able to play the game you spent thousands of $ and hours on

Cya

WP"

It's a real shame. I'm also considering left this sinking boat for good.

Wonder how Ragnarok kids are dealing with the new.

I sent these same questions to warpportal support and this was there reply,

"Greetings from WarpPortal Support!

Thank you for writing in. We understand you have a lot of questions at this time in regards to our policy change. Please stay tuned for any additional information on the matter through our social media, forums and webpage blog.

If you have not done so already, please visit our user agreement and privacy policy linked here:"

It wouldn't surprise me, that they do not know the answer to any of these questions, although i believe they owe there community answers. On Ragnarok forum, one GM wrote that they got information to post the information last night, so it could be they are as shocked as us, that this decision has been made. Anyways, any answers, or even "we don't know" would be better than nothing at this point.

The law was decided in 2016, so there was time to adapt to it, I doubt that cutting off a whole continent is a smart move, especially since all the games seem to be barely alive.

I myself have been working as a fulltime Commuinty Manager for more than 10 years now, writing quests, news, doing FB/twitter/forums, and the way this company is "communicating" is just terrible and has always been.

A great set of questions. I hope we get some answers.

No surprise really.

Considering the little amount of data they collect, it is rather odd they would not try to comply. What exactly are they collecting that they would rather drop one of the richest if not richest continent on earth.

The communication between this company and its community has always been a sad and painful experience, i think no player can dispute that and i feel sorry for the VMs and CMs who do try there best.

"Bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind.

I see GM and CM added replys to Ragnarok forum, that they will gather questions and then give there best answers. ofc there is no reply on Requiem, typical treatment for the Req community.

Questions have been gathered by CMs. As of this time, they are waiting for answers that they can share with the community.

That being said, i am sure they will avoid many questions.
