Payment Error, what is it and how to fix it

 

A quick Q/A to assist with Warpportal Power Up persisting Payment Error!!

 

 

 

 

Q1. When I open Power UP I get PAYMENT ERROR!! Can you tell me WHY?
A. PAYMENT ERROR can be caused by:

  • Adblock
  • Antivirus
  • Internet Security applications
  • Proxy/VPN (This includes logging in from another country/travel)
  • Possibly account inactivity.

 

Q2. How about fixing the error?

A. Try the following in order when attempting a purchase:

  • Disable browser Adblock addon.
  • Adjust or briefly disable the security applications that hook themselves to web browsers.
  • Briefly disable your antivirus.
  • Clear your browser cache folder & cookies.
  • Try a different web browser: Edge, IE, Firefox, Chrome, Chrome Canary or Chromium.
  • Ensure JavaScript is enabled on the web browser.
  • Use another device on the same network

 

Q3. I tried all of that non of them worked, any other suggestions?

A. The account may be blocked as a security measure. That requires a support ticket submitted to the Payment and Billing department.

Usually if the support staff suggested as above then that's an indication the account is not blocked on their end.

 

To send a proper support ticket, follow the guide in this link.

 

 

Q4. Additional thoughts?

A. Payment tickets are handled separately than normal game related tickets, so sending the payment error ticket to the wrong department will slow down the response timer. Also sending the same ticket multiple of times will not speed things up. One ticket should be good enough. It is important to note currently payment tickets are handled during office hours/weekdays, so if the ticket is submitted during the weekend then it is expected on average to get a response the next working day.

 

When addressing the staff please be polite and understanding, respond promptly when questioned.

 

If the ticket is not getting a response after a while (a week or more) contact a Community Manager or a Vmod for assistance.

I was able to FINALLY RESOLVE THIS BUY USING MY SMARTPHONE!

Earlier someone PM'd me asking help how to buy WPE/VIP but they didn't mention they're a Steam account until a bit later.

I..have no idea how else to help them aside from referring them here in the forums (hopefully they'll show up and ask).

 

Anyway that person's problem was they're getting an error if they click the "Buy VIP & Points" button in the cash shop.

 

Can this please be updated to include Steam payment stuff? Or is there a guide for this already?

 

I have no RO-Steam account so...

This thread mainly serves WP Power Up pages. Steam issues usually required reaching out to support.

Did they mention the error message? Please instruct them to send in a ticket.

I have had the same issue on steam and the website, I am a new player, first day I tried to find a way to purchase points through the website, after reading FAQ's I determined this was not a option available to me because the website itself will not let me do it, so I tried in-game through Steam and worked wonderfully, 3 days later I tried to purchase again in game and there was the option missing.

 

WebSite is a no go.... steam also... it is very frustrating... love the game, super fun but... I have sent a ticket let's see how long it will take.

Hi, I am playing this on Steam.

 

I (or rather Every Steam players right now, it seems) can't buy Kafra point through the game. When I click buy VIP and Points in cash shop, new window appear but there is no payment options to select.

So I have wrote my ticket in, still no response... I am having the same issue as the user above and I would like to give your company money... any help???

I am sorry to revive this post but, this happened to me and tried a diverse list of fixes with no solutions to the issues.  Steam Support said they couldn't help me and Warpportal support closed the ticket without saying anything other than asking for my date of birth.

 

It is my understanding that via Steam, you will be able to do a one time purchase of 1,000 KP and that's it.  I ended up downloading the game directly from Warpportal and creating a new character.  That way, I have been able to buy WP/KP multiple times.  But now I am having other issues.  This is all very frustrating.

I had errors accessing my Power Up page at the warpportal site using Firefox.  Of course, I have a lot of security on the PC FireFox browser.  I have Edge browser on it that didn't have security.  I reset the modem to get a fresh IP address.  I temporarily turned off the antivirus program for 10 minutes, ran Edge, and was able to finally access the Power-Up page.  I noticed the annoying but technically legal spyware IESNARE running, and temporarily turned off the automated cleaning programs so that the "flash cookie" the spyware uses doesn't get cleaned up which can mark me as a potentially fraud to any company using iesnare as part of their online security for credit card purchases.
