Poor service of twRO pushes players to move to iRO, and now they want to get ppl back to twRO by asking iRO to block regional IP without notice.

I start my iRO life in Canada and move to Taiwan 4 years after, and was never expecting this would happen to me.

Years of playtime and thousands of dollars spent to buy KP/OCP become a dream now.

And I've learned my lesson from Gravity.

it's funny how tw ask on this late of game, I don't think ppl who play from tw here is That many to enforce this

this is interesting how will these go on

You'd be surprised how many people from TW/HK actually plays on iRO.

I think the real question most of us are wondering is whether or not this will be the case for other countries i.e. Philippines (pRO) and Brazil (bRO).

in sense publisher has right to ask for region lock from partner overseas, but considering how it was implemented very late make me suspicious about the reason of this

Irony. TWRO is published by Gravity themselves.

VPN is extremely prevalent in Taiwan. Mostly we VPN over to Japan for games all the time, there are a ton of free ones out there (VPNGate) and if you are looking for a guide to do that, most of the big TW gaming sites offer those. Otherwise if you are willing to spend 5 dollars a month on a really good VPN (probably gives you less lag as well) that works too.

EDIT: if you need help, I can link you to one. On the TW side of things people who play iRO already know the issue and has started to push out guides for other iRO players from TW.

IMO, EU ban is because of data protection act doesn’t allow those who don’t comply to keep any of the EU related data, therefore perma ban. In this case, it’s different, its aim is to protect their counterpart from making money or at least surviving by prohibiting access from those regions; when their counterpart failed then the access would be reopen again (guess so or you may have to rant about it to remind them).

For SEA, since most of the rights were acquired by EE, unless EE goes to Gravity and cry like a baby or paying extra franchise fee or something similar, else we won’t be prohibited.

Currently there are no plans to ban PH users. They came to us from the merge and did everything right in joining us.

Nice of you to assuage their concerns of no plans to ban them, but there was never exactly a merge, but a migration of data, and even then, that doesn't exactly solidify any warding off any possible ban at request or demand.

Not really sure what the whole point of this ban is. All the twRO players who are in iRO currently are here due to the fact that they are unhappy about how twRO is being ran.

Those who are invested in iRO will continue to VPN over to play iRO

Those are not as invested in iRO will not return to twRO because they don't like the server.

You lose iRO players, gain 0

You gain 0 twRO players

What was the whole point of this?

it’s not WP’s choice. By now it should be obvious who’s the grandfather in this relationship. If granpa wants to ban grandson from playing with asian kids, there is nothing us little kids can do. That’s what it means to be a subsidiary and not business partner.

Soon all of us will leave the granpa’s playground to better places hahahahha

the make me wonder with current world economic issues but let's leave it as that

More like, a weakling unhealthy boy has a girl friend and she meets a healthy man living in a dynamic life style with a financially stable job. He then feels threatened that his girl will go after the man. So he tells the girl dad that his family is rich, so the dad forces the girl to stay with the boy lol

Maybe Gravity is out of their minds. There will come a day that they'll ban the United States from iRO.

They don't care.
Actually. They don't care RO renewal at all.
Ragnarok M will be provided globally.
Recently opened RuRO is revo classic like re:start.
Zero will be opened in Vietnam in fourth quarter.

How about renewal?
Cancelled awakening system.
Most updates have been postponed several times. (third classes Taekwondo and EP 17.1)
Pending updates without certain schedule like WoE improvement and Hyper Novice.
Any hope?
A bit.

I think this is something we need to think about as well.

Obviously no game last forever but we already saw what happened with RE:Start. WP focused all attentions on RE:Start and Renewal was neglected for a few month, at least until RE:Start inevitably died. When Ragnarok M (Or whatever that newest version is going to be called) What is the future of Renewal? Will the game continue to update or are we the new classic.

This is RO M?

Seeing how they're managing things. No way I will ever play their games again. Also I bet most of us are too old anyway to start over any game at this point.

Yes. It's mobile game.

IMO the craziest thing in TWRO is Sealed MoT card. Same effect with MoT card but triples SP drain and doubles Def, Flee penalty.

This is really saddening. I met a lot of good friends in the Asian Countries that were recently banned. I came back from hiatus last year and met great friends. If the pattern is the same like EU ban and some few Asian Countries ban, I wont be surprised if the rest of the Asian countries, SA regions, Russia will be blocked as well.

And here I am almost ready to farm my JDR for 6 hours on Sat and 6 hours on Sun. But seeing as how things go, I lost my motivation. I guess we better enjoy the game while we can before all of us are banned.

twRO is cash island lol. I basically see it like a paying sakray. The forums for twRO is always like how much their set will cost in the dollars, which can go for thousands and thousands of dollars.

Why RMT when gravity sell you what you want directly lol.

What is this -_- policy?

I really support IRO but now it seems to be being scammed.

I have been playing IRO for 4 years. Why do you say that you want to block now?

If there is no way to change, can I refund the money?

Don't have too much. It's good to return these two months.

It’s really not a joke. This kind of scam. So damn!
