To be fair, there is never a good time, people lie, cheat the system, do everything that is against the Terms of Service and nothing ever gets done. Ever. And they know it.

Now with EU and Taiwan/Macau/HK players gone, I bet that tiny less than 5% gray area is gonna become even smaller in 2018 Q3/4.

Actually. The revenues from US/Canada, compares between 2016 and 2017, has been increased. (5,130 millions won in 2016 and 7,774 millions won in 2017).

Especially from RO1 only. it has been increased from 2,178 millions won in 2016 to 3,208 millions won in 2017, 47% increases

But there are some reasons to made the portion of US/Canada decreased.

The greatly increasing of revenues in Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau and South Korea, from 16,517 millions won in 2016 to 76,121 millions won in 2017 and from 14,770 millions won in 2016 to 28,708 millions won in 2017 respectively.

Increasing their revenues portion from 32.5% to 53.7% (Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau area) and from 20.3% to 28.7% (South Korea area). Thus these made the revenues portion of US/Canada decreased from 10% to 5.5%.

And if you look at the first graph. You'll see the portion of blue area has been increased. Because of the revenues of Ragnarok M which has been opened in South Korea in the first quarter. Relates with the second graph which mobile portion has been increased. This make the grey area of US/Canada is even smaller in spite of its revenues may be increased.

When EU ban happened, they had GDPR to blame. When TW ban happened, they had twRO to blame. We will see if there will be more regions to block in the next few months, if it happens again, the only explanation is that Gravity is ditching WP/iRO, and the death of this server will be certain.

They (Gravity) will use the excuse of '' Those regions have regional servers or plans to open and bla bla bla''.

Sadly, that's how it works and the current RO playerbase is too small, because of that we can't really fight against Gravity (we can try i guess...)

Gravity better close all regional RO service and let iRO/fRO live, then they can focus on their mobile dream on regional revenue

problem solved, most or regional server are suck compared to here anyway

Sounds on par.

That's even worse. They'd call iRO racist (which is not the case)     

 

But honestly, even iRO sucks, I was told by people from Thai server or Brazilian server that their servers are even worse ... so I dont know. The only concern I have right now is how many will be left in iRO after they completely block all other regions. It's mainly SEA and Brazilian folks that still play and truly love RO.

This decision is -_-, I would say 80% of the players are from SEA, and they are dedicated to this game. Wondering one day they will block Australia as well. May as well not buying anything from WP from now on. Maybe one day all your effort would be vanished.

Now that you think about it, iRO is actually penalized for being a better server than the other regional servers. What is the incentive/motivation to improve the server further, if you get back-stabbed for being better? At least, they are not blocking IPs for Russia/CIA ppls since it seems that, they are more inclined to play on their regional server. But if one day they are leaving ruRO to play on iRO, who knows what will happen?

Only 4 months. Their stock price has been lowered by around half. (Gravity changed the ratio of American Depository Share to common shares from 1:2 to 1:1 on August 28th. That means the current price should be $35.74 compares to May one)
