I post that in my home :v, if you mean "then dont play the game" well i already leave 2 months ago (or maybe more), and probably the last question will be "Then why are you still in the forums?", just for fun and waiting for RO Zero, play the game for 1 or 2 months and then leave because we know what will happen in this company hands :v


That's what I've been hearing since the game came out. Now, go home for real.

Don't worry, duplicated items have the same IP. They can't be mistaken by regular items. At least this is what Camp said. Aaand no one will be punished for selling too much stuff. Strange behavior will only make WP analyse your situation closer

8/9 -The following items will no longer be sell-able to most npcs for zeny. This is to turn off several zeny flows that have been generating too much zeny at this time and contributing to recent inflation. Update: There will be a single npc located in the eden group that will accept these item. We will post a guide on how to sell to this npc during maintenance.

What a shame action been taken by WP.

These items are farmable by players (especially from OGH) to earn the money, instead of selling WPE.

By removing these, are you actually promoting players, especially new players to sell WPE to boost WP income??

 

I would suggest to have serious thought in banning those farmable items from instances...

That is what make players to play everyday. instead of giving some negative ideas to sell WPE to get what they want.

 

Also, to add in more, what do you think these items as listed above can be contributed to bad inflation as mentioned by your side?

From my experience, per each OGH round, we can only get 1 or max 3 from these each item. 

So, do you really think these items can really contribute to the recent inflation?

 

Just make your count. how many players nowadays are still farming OGH? and do these really make sense here?

I don't think it's enough to simply cut players off from making money, there needs to be somewhere for all the money generated (be it legit or not) to go that isn't another players hands.

One of the things you can do, while not a major, thing is change the fruit vendor in Hugel back into a regular shop NPC. That change made sense back when mastela fruit were just as good as ranked slims but now we have items from both cash shop and monster drop that boost slims heal rate considerably. Plus it might be a way from some newer players to make money by selling discounted mastela fruit.

Another suggestion would be some sort of event where enough zeny needs to be spent for certain parts of the event to be unlocked. Like lets say the event starts by asking for 100bil which when reached, event monsters that drop special items are enabled and when the NPC gets a total of another 500bil some other parts of the event unlock and just have that go as high as possible, maybe even have one of these for each town with different rewards for the event for each town.

This is an interesting attempt by warp portal, however what is the goal of making these changes?

 

The true economy in this game is WPE. The cost of WPE determines the level of inflation that zeny experiences. Once the cost of WPE reaches over 1bil, the danger of it being a currency becomes more and more unstable. I don't believe a deflation of zeny will contribute much since there is essentially nothing zeny is worth spending on. It is still an easy and convenient currency to use rather than comparing apples to oranges, however it's becoming more of a problem for WPE to keep up with overvalued trades when something becomes amiss between players trading. When I stopped playing, I turned the majority of my zeny into WPE because I knew where the market was going.

 

From what I could see, the zeny inflation truly started once people could vend items over 99mil. Once the limitation was removed, zeny became more accessible and and the spread of wealth skyrocketed since players weren't as lazy when they had to vend high valued items. Changing the limitation now will make a lot of players angry, so that's not something I'd reccomend, even though it will take care of some vending problems that "new" players will see.

 

How to deal with the inflated zeny problem? I would start by making changes to the desocket system. 1mil to desocket an MVP at 5% is NOTHING. If you did 50mil at 5%, warp portal could have deflated a lot of the zeny. Desocketing an MVP was a huge change that most players wanted and most of those players are affluent.

 

Another way to deflate zeny is allowing players to buy prized medals. You need a great amount (almost over 120k medals w/ BM) to get to max levels. The game has reached the point of players already having multiple 175s, might as well let them get more.

 

My 3rd suggestion would involve upgrading attempts. Going from +10->+11 should cost 5mil, then +11->+12 is 10mil, +12->13 is 100mil, etc. Although, doing this would probably piss off a lot of players so you gotta do it with a ninja patch :D

 

There are a lot of ways you can deflate zeny, but the bottom line is that you can try and slow down the rate of the zeny generating, but if you can't increase the rate of zeny leaving the game, you're always going to have an inflated market.

 

tldr: target things people actually use zeny on.

Making refines cost more would absolutely devastate and piss off the community. I actually think buying prize metals is a fantastic idea. This way people get something for their zeny and the sink works appropriately. You could make it to where 2000 metals come to 1b or something like that. I'm sure tons of people would be happy to have an even more VIPish way of leveling since this game clearly favors people who spend money on KP or invest in VIP

Make these items Character bound but make an NPC seller for these

 

1. bloody branch  = 30m each 

2. Ygg berries = 150k each

3. Ygg seeds = 100k each

4. Blacksmith's Blessings = 30m each

5. Cursed Fragments = 5m each

6. TOKEN OF SIEGFRIED (regular) = 1m each

 

this way,

1. they can't dupe these items

2. the item will be available for all

3. overprice seller of these items will be gone

4. always returns to dust because they are consumed (server wont be flooded with these)

5. and a good zeny sink.

The large amount of zeny was always there. The inflation you are fighting with is the same inflation your Oversea Care Packs do to the server: Putting godlike items at less than 1% chance to get, make people on hype to get, everything increase the price, then you come with other OCP box and everything renew the price again. Remember when FAWs was on KP boxes and the rate was not so negligent? that time FAWs cost 300-400m at +0 and 700m +9, maybe 800 or 900m with perfect enchants. When you decide to start with your OCP Rush for the money, adding items at <1% chance, even FAWs rising to 4b.

 

My toughs: <1% its really bad to fight against inflation. If you want to do something reasonable to counter back, relaunch OCP with 3%>5% chance on the rarest item. and just in case you did not listen to my last entry here, fight the bot problem, thats one of the biggest root of inflation and you do nothing, really, nothing at all. People can just farm every day, multiple clients all day long. Thats a big zeny income and you do nothing.

 

As many players state. This will affect the major part of the population. I dont know if you notice but a hint for you: Fix the bot problem and you will have taking a root off the problem. Maybe is no the final solution, but it will solve something.

Now my suggestion is:

- Do the bot crusader like Oda used to do. Go bot hunting every day, many times a day. Implement a anti-bot (and anti-cheat) system. It is needed.

- Track the IPs of botters and so something against related accounts/IPs. There is no way to complain if "I play in a cyber" b*llsht, if they see a co-worker/sister or brother botting, and they do not report, they can face the consecuences.

- Do not disable to sell the items related to WoE investment System. Talking for the 4Leaf Clover. Also, do the same with the Bullions, these are good income for new players doing instances and invest.

 

There is no easy way to tackle inflation down. Its a problem wich has been increase for a long time, and now you want a fast solution.

 

The ultimate solution is: Reduce all the zeny in all accounts in one decimal, 500m converted to 50m, 1 billion converted to 100m, and so on. Everyone will get 1/10 of their current zeny.

Or make 2 types of users acounts "verified" and "unverified". Every new account is by default unverified, and has trading, rodexing, vending, buying from players vend shops and dropping items from inventory disabled.

In order to get verified status, have them submit a ticket and you can check the acount to see if it is a bot or legit player. Bonus points if you add an ID request for validation (make it optional and state a faster answer time for the ones that comply)

My point is it doesnt matter how many bots, dupes, zenny or MVP cards are on an unverified account, if they cant enter the market they are completely useless and even more to the zenny sellers.

What are your thoughts on our plans to keep these items useful while fighting the inflation problem?

 

I personally never/rarely intentionally go hunt to earn zenny, I got my zenny from an events, for example "Takoyaki Event", this is how I become rich, rich enough to buy a Heroic Backpack and upgrade it to +7 and still had enough zenny left to upgrade another EQP.

 

Looting the drop item 1/1 on the floor is lame and really time consuming, especially for high level char with AOE skills, really had a really difficult time for non STR classes players, "Greed" its not a solution, if it is the solution its a really lame solution because not everyone want to be a Black Smith, not everyone had STR and not everyone can afford a Heroic Back pack.

 

You need to revamp the game system, make it like other modern game online this day, make all items with drop rate above 0,05% selling price "0" zenny, but for compensate not only exp but players also receive money when killing a monster, the zenny player earn is depend on the LV monster they hunt, which mean more high your LV more zenny you get.

The garbage item is for quest purpose, not for making money purpose, you hunt it when you need it for something, quest?, cooking?, or upgrade purpose.

•You can also use LV Requirement to selling certain Item from Dungeon, make a specific npc and specific lv requirement to selling items, this give the player an option between using the item if its an EQP, consuming it if it a consumable item, or selling it for money.

 

•About:

Its considered as a garbage items, you cant consume it, you cant use it for a quest, and obviously you can wearing it (EQP).

 

Total price: 400.000 (6 items)

= 400.000:6

= 66.666z

 

So when you click the treasure you still get all the item like usual + 66.666z, and you can loot all the gold, sliver, and platinum bullion, colorful key and brooch and gold coin basket, but you can only sell it on a special designed npc in one condition (level requirement 150).

 

•How about AFK Homun?.

You got exp as usual but not Zenny.
