Summer Games Final Rounds 08/17

The time has come Roserians to see who will reign supreme! The final rounds of the 2018 Summer Games will soon be here! Matches will be taking place on Friday August 17th at 1:00 PM PDT! . 

Teams please make sure to log in and check in with [CM] AndraSyte or a GM! [CM] AndraSyte will be logged on starting at 12:30 PM PDT in order to begin check ins! All members must be present and checked in  before their scheduled match times and be prepared to be summoned to the tournament map once their match is ready to begin.

You didn't account for the 5-10 minutes it takes to summons the groupsto the first map, confirm, and teleport to the second map. Not sure if that's intentional or not, but you did say 'strict schedule' so might want to make time for that. 

Is this single or double elimination?  It looks like double but why would Majestic play the winner of Garuda and Vanguard when they already beat Garuda round 1? Can we see an image of the bracket?

AceOfSpades vs OrganizationXIII winner advances to round 2.

Vanguard vs Aura winner advances to round 2

Garuda vs Majestic winner advances to round 2

Team that lost match 1 vs Team that lost match 2; winner of this match goes vs Team that lost match 3; the winner advances to round 2. In other words, OrganizationXIII vs Vanguard and the winner fights Garuda. However because OrganizationXIII withdrew from the match. Now it is Vanguard vs Garuda and winner advances to round 2.

It is not exactly a "fair" bracket system since Majestic won 1 time, 0 losses goes up against a team that has already shown signs of weakness (lost 1 time). Meanwhile both AceOfSpades and Aura with 1 win, 0 losses battle it out. It just seems easier for Majestic to secure a spot in the finals than it is between AceOfSpades and Aura.

[CM]Andrasyte wanted to be nice and offer second chances to clans that loss round 1. Or perhaps she didn't know how to eliminate teams when you got 3 winners from round 1. So she turned the 3 losers of round 1 to a single winner to fill the spot so that she can make it double eliminations. However, either way she didn't consider how placement standings might matter to some players and how this alteration could significantly impact which clan reaches her finals.

At the end, not everyone can win the tournament. However, being able to advance accurately and fairly in the bracket as a reflection of a clans progress is an achievement every step of the way. The current bracket system is not professional

What should happen is:

AceOfSpades vs Aura

Aura vs Majestic

Majestic vs AceOfSpades

The order of which clans fight first should be determined by random draw.

Get 3 strips of paper and write down the 2 clan names on each sheet, randomly draw it out of a box or something.

So here is all the possible outcomes: w = win, l = lose

2w-0l (winner of the tournament)

1w-1l (3 way tie, or 2nd)

0w-2l (3rd)

This method removes the semi-finalist category and makes 3 clans the finalists but can also set up fair determined placements 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 3 way draw.

There is something wrong on how your bracket system works. It doesn't sounds fair

Good idea @Exaltion, but she never hear, she never care and she'll never reply.

You guys are seriously complaining about the bracket because it doesn't appeal to your likings. Lmao, okay first of all brackets in tournaments are randomized. Life isn't fair . Go cry about it. I Don't even see the logic in the complaining. Its VG Vs Garuda, the team to come out on top just happens to fight my clan which makes it not fair? But if any other clan were to fight them its fair ? No logic whatsoever. Just cause we fought Garuda in the 1st round that doesn't make it not fair cause we fight the winner of VG vs Garuda. 

Henry what are you even crying about, your in the tournament with 2 clerics, knight, raider, champion. The rules are who has the most survivors wins. That benefits your line-up the most which are broken rules to begin with for a 5v5. You said the bracket isn't professional because the placing of the teams, this is clearly the only tournament you have ever participated in. 

3/4ths of my team couldn't even make it, because guess what? Life & Time-zones. Yeah we could go for days about complaining and crying. But I honestly dont care of the outcome of this tournament My clan went into the tournament with whoever was online just to participate for fun.

Every team was given preparation for this tournament, to build the best team line-up you can to have a chance at winning. Why would it matter who you fight.

You seems greedy the way you react. We are looking here a balance distribution of wins and loses making the tournament free from biased not just because your in a clan whose favored to win.

It's alright just stop crying, or at least cry about how terrible the rules are. Not on how a bracket turned out. First time I've ever heard about people complaining about a bracket for a tournament. 

That's like a sports team complaining about being in a harder division and the other teams get to be in an easier division. 

Stop throwing your unnecessary biased opinions and stop beating around the bush, I get it you don't want us to win. 

No one is crying here, and we all know who was trying hard to win (by changing name & character "behind the scene"). Rules are terrible and now they make terrible bracket.

We were trying hard to win because some people aren't runed because not everybody benefited off of duped crates and shards like everybody else? Especially your clan lmao. OK buddy keep crying.

Guys.... chill. I only said anything because I think they messed up the order, and I want them to be aware so the next time [if there is a next time] we have a tournament, they'll be better prepared. 

Whoever wins, odds are, 1 more or 1 less fight to complete won't make a difference. It's all just down to composition, and whoever does it best, will most likely be the best no matter how many fights you throw at them. That's the nature of ROSE. Whatever team has the most imbalanced broken classes / strats, wins. 

Theres just too much complaining and whining going on surrounding this tournament.

It's literally a straight forward bracket.... Theres 6 teams but Orga dropped out cutting the loser bracket shorter....  Why would they drop down a top bracket to the bottom..... that would make no sense at all. 

Black is the current bracket.

Red is the bracket people thinks would make sense in a tournament LOL.

There is no bracket that has ever done what the red line would do. LOL

Its a tournament buddy, there's a bracket organized for the first matches and continues from there..... Theres also a losers bracket... the losing teams go into that fight each other.

The matches were close but in the end Aura won and has been crowned the champions! Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to Aura once more!

the tournament is over. so now we hope you focus back to the main problem on aa and cd crash. if the problem is resolved, it is certain that next year many clans will participate in this tournament again. and many old players will return to play if the problem is resolved. please prioritize the main problem.

Actually, my main problem right now is the duplication because guess what, it's still going on.

I flat out refuse to play the game until they fix the duplication issue. Seeing as it affects both PvE and PvP in all forms of content, the game is by my standards unplayable. As much fun as these types of events can be and sometimes are, having that nagging fact that some people, potentially even some people participating in the tourney [I hardly knew anyone in the tourney, and I'm not throwing shade, just pointing out odds] have benefited or directly participated in the duplication, ruins quite literally all the effort I put into the game. When you do literally hundreds of hours just for passives alone worth of grinding, and someone else just duplicated a bunch of junk and flips it for currency to buy the books in a day or two [assuming they're trying to get away with it] and the DEV's flat out silence the conversation on it, how can I feel accomplished. Well that's a rhetorical question because the answer is  I can't. And if I can't enjoy the basics of the game, how could I possibly truly enjoy large public events.... 

Anyway, post will probably get removed for being off topic.

Even if I say congrats to the winners, the post will probly be edited to only have that part. We'll see. I'd like an acknowledgement at least from Genesis that the problem isn't being swept under the rug.
