Simple, you can buy it everywhere, you dont need to bother ppl for selling FOC points or deal with twinks, and last aspect which is pretty strong for some sort of ppl: it looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then FOC set which is the most ugly set ever.

FoC will give you more Skill crit % and SCAD and more HP (exception to s1 VF.)
VF set will give you Fire Resistance (Good for LW) and a bit more defense then FoC.
I went for more DPS and currently the only set I would take instead of FoC is S2 Sealing (level 72 set)
Illusion is only good for Shammys that want to be an elite tank shammy (hint hint) and want to waste the carus to reinforce the set for +10 to get a decent amount of INT...
EDIT: 4 parts of s1 VF / 2 parts of FoC will only give about 400 more HP then 6/6 parts of FoC. Not worth it in my opinion.

yeah i guess you are right about 75 set, but it has a lot of potential and in long run if player is serious about it, it can be insane set, but yeah carus >.> stupid carus

75 Armor + DC wand is the best combo for a Shammy 
~ Nice HP/INT boost with Very Nice SCAD dmg.

u can have also 72 sealing with LW staff or LW wand+LW shield...or 72 celebrity + DC staff/DC wand+shield

can anyone thell me why lvl75set? isnt the lvl72 con set bether? it add con, scad, an other stat. lvl75 add con and crap mind.

nerthu only defi set 75 adds con and mnd...shammy 75 set adds con and int + fire resist, 72 sealing adds int scad and elec resist and 72 celebrity adds con scad and wind resist...thing is 75 set for shammy is nicely balanced ..but i believe that with either of the 72 shammy sets a nice hp crit and dmg balance can be made with the right gear(wep and jewels).

ok. for shamy 75est not so crapy like the defi one. bud comon. int give so low resis and dmg. i prefer scad. its so easy to get 45%+ critrate. since all have caped resis is scad the key for the kill not only the magic dmg.

well the only sure thing is, shamans do not miss good armors unlike some other classes :S

I picked Tyrant set cuz its what my guild was farming at the time. If I had a choice in what raids we were doing Id of gotten the DC Wand to go with my Tyrant Armor. 75 adds very nice HP/INT/Def something the 72s do not. They either add INT or HP but not both. Mixing the 75 with the DC wand will get u that extra SCAD that u lack from ur Armor. The way I play my mystic, surviving is more important then kill count since I rarely go 1v1 in BattleFields.

I know of a hacker that has full Celeb 72 set. But I havent seen anyone with Sealing set yet. Talk to Pova ;.; He makes me sad, his char is extremely epic ;.;

I have been thinking of the battlemage class 72 set. The pride is better just becuse it gives such huge hp boost.

hp is boring, and i think pova uses foc set not sure.
he has broken some item before so changed to zerk, then wl, then saker, them myst, then zerk, then myst again. he changes every month
edit: about hp thingy, if oina can use it as tempest i am sure elem or myst with 2k hp buff can too and the dmg would be epic

best for shamies is HP and Scad..ins is useless for PVP so u gotta get 200-300 more int to feel some direrencees on 80% res..so best of the best would be celeb s2 which increasing CON as many shamies want..and most important SCAD per + ing..with DC wand...yeah that is epic combo..no doubt
