the NPC should give dialogue like this:
"oh, you are that douchebag AFK leveler!

Guess what? yes, i copy the exact map just for you punks!

Now, get inside and leave real players alone!"

More maps/channels means they need more cash for bigger/better server/ram ...?

But they still having problem tracking the duper (even if there more channel , i doubt it will solve everything)

 

Example if some kser decide to go afk channel lol (free meat shield and ez counts)

If thor lowti are having the same issue ? i dont think you guys can blame autocast lol...

 

Telling ppls not to afk ? its like telling ppls not to eat / sleep ....

Imagine if this were the other way around ? gene cc is the real issue ?

Dont get me wrong , i am too find lowti is hard to solo (cos is crowded ~ duh)

 

I "think'' WP cant do anything for now (after all , they need 800 workers to work things out)

Oh, you know what, that's true.  whoooooooooooooooops.


And then free loot for the other people who go into the afk channel. Well that is also a valid point.

This is quite difficult, where else can we go? I guess we should scratch that other channel out. 

Ideas:
Punish AFK Levelrs.
Channel For AFK Levelers.

Come up with a new idea.

We are currently faced with a difficult situation that may have been avoided but there is no going back. Instead of aiming at punishing people because of how things turned out and the way they set their character up to not die and auto-cast, why don't we aim towards finding a solution that will accommodate everyone here.

There is no going back, this has to be repeated once again because we need to make this entirely clear. The only way we can find a solution is if we can do something that will still enable the auto-casters to be in a map and then have the people who are actually moving around the map or luring for their party, such example being Gramps Low TI. 

I support the idea of having a second map that could have similar function to those of instances in which you need to have a party to enter. The only condition would be that it needs some sort of protection against the AFK. I do not encourage the idea of punishing those who have the gears to do that, it is just the reality of it. I personally don't like it since it affects new people coming into maps like Gramps Low TI for some leveling which really sets the tone for new players to get to third class and start enjoying renewal should it be their first time in an official, or even iRO.

Can we work with this idea and try to develop it further?
 

The matter of the fact is, it isn't against the rules, there's no official stance as Cinnamon as stated. I say we must follow what their guidelines are and try to develop a solution that involves playing fair and going by the rules. It is the only viable solution I see after reading these threads multiple times.

I just wanted to give my input based on everything I seen and my own experience there as well. I also included a question which then turned into an explanation on the FAQs thread related to what I seen in NCT in relation to AFK Leveling.

 

This guy is right.

If afk against the rule then there will be only 100 players in iro lol afk venders, afk chatters

Well, I think only kill steal and bots deserve punishment 

 

 

Somehow if this post made suggestion is likely happen in year 2040+, i don't think they have time to entertain such issue.

 

 

They don't even have time to fulfill all the update that being promise on Dec 2017.

 

 

We you as player can do in order to reduce the WP staff burden is:

 

- Bounty board

 

- Eden quest ( behind the mimic box npc room)

 

- Play smart to not KS those AFK

 

 

Alternatively WP/CM do their action:

 

-These mob should not be aggressive such as turtle island, or passive monster that do not attack player

 

-Killer mob like ELDER, SHINOBI

 

 

* I like to see how stone curse, frozen and bomb explode kill anyone

 

 

 

AFK need those aggressive monster to attack them ( this will allow auto skill active)

 

 

sadly no one notice it, i will say passive monster will make these AFK leave TI for sure, because of wasting time :p_omg:  :p_idea: 

 

 

 

NCT CAN AFK? NO, once the MVP respawn AFK GOODBYE

That's like complaining about Genes afk leveling their homunculus all over ants hell and orc dungeon 2. How come no one bans them? Ants hell is one of my routes when I level to 35.

anyways, i'm still pretty sure it has something to do with monsters "changing states" imediately upon death. As far as autocast goes, most likely has to do with freezing effects, since multiple skills can proc from one attack, in this case a spell that kills and one that freezes at the same time, leaving them stuck at some sort of limbo. 

Something similar used to happen on Shinobi TIs, when he tries to use his "substitution jutsu" on death, many times would cause the monster respawn to not happen, and leave a bunch of "ghost" mobs on the map. And novus(yellow+red) TIs, also with a bunch of ghost monsters, and parties used storm gust a lot for protection.

And you guessed it, it is something that has to come from kRO, if it even ever happens to get fixed.

That theory is plausible. Though I am confused, do you mean freezing or frozen? Some mob cant be frozen like undead element mob. But seem like recent past low ti with undead mob still bugged out, if I remember yao jun with injustice.

I would like to add to that point of "changing states" at death, in some cases when player is dying from mob atk and ab/priest heal them at the same time, sometimes they will die with a bit of green hp left in the hp bar. So extrapolating from there it could be possible status effect could carry into death for mob......eh idk...

Only half of the mobs are controlled by the new NPC. The other half are still natural spawns which would be expected to bug out over time.

 

I know, but what happen if a portion of 70% of the mobs, lets take 35% normal spawn and 35% NPC spawn are stuck, idk if this kind of issue make the mob still alive in the count, but on bug in a unaccesible place or some state weird. Its too soon to assume but seems like the bug has nothing with the respawn, is not a respawn issue, its a mob issue. If its stuck somehow, it still there, the NPC will count it, but for a player its unaccesible.

 

There is my suggestion of the doom map or refresh zone

Just restart the damn map every certain time and we'll all be happy

It took me more than 1 hour walking around all the map to complete both quest. It's so annoying

waitaminute. Are we even sure that AFKasters are in Low TI for leveling purposes? People are right, there's better maps to gain exp while AFK at these levels, especially lately. These characters could be there for farming EMBs, right? If so, then come ON now. :v Something has to be done about this.

Those afk player holding at least 5 monster,but u cant ks then, so even the npc come out but still not much monster, problem still not fix.when reflect no more cast all thoes autocast gear,problem fix

If you stop skills from casting from melee physical damage, it pretty much destroys every auto casting build there is, so yeah not an option.

MVP are FFA, there is no such thing as kill stealing for them.

I don't understand how killing mobs on afk players is KSing. They are taking no offensive action to the monsters. Reflected attacks with no player input doesn't qualify as engagement IMO. If anything THEY should be banned for Mob Training. AKA holding mobs without taking offensive action and holding up the spawns for other players. Not to mention when an afk player dies often times they leave behind massive mobs that other players may not be equipped to handle. Ruining their experience again, in a different way.

Is KSing really even bannable? I've literally never been hit by it, despite many people qqing in PMs saying they'd report. I don't think the GMs actually fault players for actually playing the game and leveling efficiently. Especially in TI maps where everyone is apparently tilted as hell. People cry wolf so much I would think KS reports would just politely go into the paper shredder. The only place KSing is mentioned as an offense is here on the forums, its not in the support page FAQ, or any of the Terms of Service. I assume the forum rule (if you can call it a rule) is to discourage people from encouraging kill stealing. Which as discussed, I don't think AFK players qualify for this "protection".

 

If you stop skills from casting on physical melee damage and change it to physical melee attacks you enable the cool autocast builds and disable the obnoxious ones. A-la Hindsight. (Never going to happen though. Damage is already done.)

I know you've been around for a minute, so I'm pretty sure you'll know exactly what I'm talking about here.

 

Remember pulling Mi Gaos for yourself or others in LY? There was an official limit to how many Mi Gaos a single player could hold and that was pretty strictly enforced. I had friends that got 3-day bans for pulling 10+ Mi Gaos at a time for an hour or two. 

 

How did it come to this? We're definitely in the bad timeline.
