IRO1 Classic Weekly Maintenance

January 31st, 11:00AM - 6:00PM PST

 

NOTE: The servers will be brought down earlier then normal for network maintenance.

 

 

Events

  • Weather: A snow storm continues to fall on many major cities on Classic.

Quests

  • The next new Headgear quest, the Lif Doll Hat, is available. Speak to Frank in Morocc (who has his own tent at 118, 93). Certificates can be found in the treasure caches.
    • To create this headgear you'll need the following:
      • 200 Fabric
      • 100 Golden Hair
      • 50 Powder of Butterfly
      • 1 Hung Doll
      • 1 Darkgreen Dyestuffs
      • 1 Lif Doll Hat Certificate

Spotlight

  • The spotlight continues to be Thor's Volcano!
    • The following creatures will be affected:

  • Added the card slot to the Mercury Helm.

Everyone can take it with a grain of salt but the small suggestion I have would be to maybe make a way to trade a number of treasure boxes in exchange to get a key. Possibly 5, 10 or some other number? It would still be more efficient to outright use keys with a single cache but this would enable characters with a bunch of boxes to still be able to use them somehow.

I have a suggestion to bring new events into Classic.
 
Replace ET MVP with those in the game but not in the same.
 
But is available to create another ET on Classic? Keeping what we have, just create another option. If yes, follow the list:

Hello GM's Team,

Suggestions to improve gameplay due to low population, concurrency and similarity on the LOKI - Classic server.
 

Suggestion 1_____Woe 1.0 - Decrease of castles.
- Due to the low server population, and active players in War 1.0, I suggest lowering the number of castles per feud, to 3 in each feud.

Suggestion 2_____Woe 1.0 - Prohibition of gods items and MVP cards.
- To try to attract new clans to War 1.0, remove the items gods and mvp-cards from the war, making it more equate, thus attracting new players to return to play.

Suggestion 3_____Enable PVP in all MVP's maps.
- Making mvp hunting an even more difficult dispute, perhaps, stimulating players to re-hunt mvp's in time due to the difficulty of being pvp map.

Wars have to be difficult, not easy. Only in the Classic 1.0 wars are this ridiculous thing of people avoiding battles and running to conquer empty castles.
 
There is no monopoly on war 1.0. There are more castles who have more break's online to break empty castles. If the number of castles is reduced, as it is already done in the server renewal, people once again have battles to fight, guilds protect their castles, which is WOE's OBJECTIVE to win / defend castles, not run from battles to empty castles.

Suggestion 3_____Enable PVP in all MVP's maps.
Are you in particular killing MVPs? I'm almost always online and I can go looking for mvp's, and they're alive all the time! And even killing mvp is getting annoying, you have 1 or 2 people competing, and the goal always stays the same, whoever finds first wins. Much more interesting to have a pvp together, to make things more diffuse. Mvp's are to be difficult, not easy.

Yes, of course, obviously the mvp's have a bigger competition than others, and why not make things more competitive? What is the fear of people dying / killing? This game is getting increasingly boring and monotonous because they are always the same things to do, I do not worry about dying in the MVP'S that I like to kill, and nobody should, this game was made to die, as long as it has something legal for if done. Neither pvm people do more, let alone go in the PVP room. The game needs to lead people to certain dangers, and this will bring them new skills, believe me.
 
Ragnarok is famous for his wars and pvp, not his no-pvp.

There is no justification for the fiefs of castles 1.0 not being reduced, in the renewal server this was done, and there are many more people there than here, and by the way, wars are more competitive. No one cares about war 1.0, or 2.0, you're worried that bigger guilds really care about it, they do not care, they just want action, war, kill / die, have fun and get mired in pvm without end.

Conquering all the castles really is a supreme advantage they have for having stronger items. But you should not worry about it in War 1.0, if you have your items to create a god item, it's the creative thieves you should be concerned about, and those know who they are and where they are.

At least try to do the changes for what the members are demanding, The server is having hardly 100-200 population for woe timings (which includes vendors, alt's, bots) server having 100 active players for woe with 20 castle's really makes no sense. We hardly get any action for woes, its like last 2mins everyone breaks the emp and logs out. How about opening random castle's every week, For 1.0 woe, either keep prontera, geffen, payon or aldebran castles open (any 1 of them) which will give us 5 castles to play with every week. Sounds pretty comfortable for everyone, 5 castles for 100 active players? People will have more action and more reason to login before woe starts till the end of it. God piece's wont be so easily available to last minute breakers? We are losing the 1.0 woe action from years, hardly any fun available. Please try to understand and rotate the castle opening every week to encourage good woe fights. Don't ignore for what members are demanding again and again or it will result in complete dead server which we are not aiming for. Hope you guys are trying to save the server and not planning it to die as soon as possible.
